Description
The present disclosure relates to a cooler, and more particularly to a cooler for cooling a plate material during welding. The present disclosure also relates to a welding apparatus including a cooler.
When welding metal plate materials, thermal deformation may occur in each plate material due to thermal strain generated due to welding heat input. The thermal deformation of the plate material is not only unfavorable in appearance, but also affects the performance of products in which the plate material is used. For this reason, a heat deformation part may be corrected with a press etc. after welding. In this case, since time and labor are required for correction, man-hours increase. In addition, a product may be designed in consideration of thermal deformation of the plate material. In this case, too much trial and error is required for the design, so that the man-hours are also increased.
In order to reduce the number of steps, it is preferable to suppress thermal deformation of the plate material during welding. As one method for suppressing thermal deformation, there is a method of forcibly removing heat around a welded portion of a plate material during welding to alleviate thermal strain due to a temperature gradient.
For example,
In the cooler of
In the cooler of
As described above, in the coolers such as
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a cooler and a welding apparatus that can suppress thermal deformation of a plate material, regardless of the shape of the plate material to be welded, particularly for a plate material made of metal.
The cooler according to the present disclosure cools the plate material during welding. The cooler includes a plurality of cooling bodies and a plurality of support bodies. The plurality of cooling bodies are arranged side by side in the welding direction of the plate material. The plurality of cooling bodies are in contact with the surface to be cooled of the plate material. The plurality of supports are provided corresponding to the plurality of cooling bodies. Each of the supports supports the corresponding cooling body so as to be inclined with respect to the horizontal plane. Each of the supports presses the corresponding cooling body against the surface to be cooled of the plate material.
The welding apparatus according to the present disclosure welds the first plate member and the second plate member. The welding apparatus includes a first cooler, a second cooler, and a welding torch. The first and second coolers have the above-described configuration. The first cooler cools the first plate member during welding. The second cooler cools the second plate member during welding. The welding torch is disposed between the first cooler and the second cooler.
According to the present disclosure, thermal deformation of a plate material can be suppressed regardless of the shape of the plate material to be welded.
When the plate members are welded to each other, a temperature gradient is generated in each plate member and heat distortion occurs. The thermal deformation of the plate material occurs when the plate material undergoes plastic deformation due to this thermal strain.
In order to suppress thermal deformation of the plate material, it is necessary to reduce the thermal strain by relaxing the temperature gradient generated in the plate material. As a method for mitigating the temperature gradient, there is a method in which the periphery of the welded portion of the plate material is cooled by a cooler and the heat is extracted from the vicinity of the welded portion of the plate material. The cooler includes a cooling body made of a material having high thermal conductivity. The cooler removes heat from the plate material by bringing the cooling body into contact with the plate material during welding.
The amount of heat removal is related to the contact pressure between the cooling body and the plate material. In order to increase the amount of heat removal, it is necessary to bring the cooling body and the plate material into close contact with each other and press the plate material sufficiently with the cooling body.
It is preferable that the cooling body presses the plate material uniformly throughout. In a cooling body, when the pressing force with respect to a board | plate material changes with places, a difference arises also in the amount of heat removal from a board | plate material. When the pressing force becomes extremely uneven and the difference in heat removal exceeds the allowable range, thermal deformation occurs in the plate material. Such a problem is likely to occur when the plate to be welded is curved.
Based on the above findings, the present inventors have devised a cooler and a welding apparatus according to the embodiment.
The cooler according to the embodiment cools the plate material during welding. Each of the supports presses the corresponding cooling body against the surface to be cooled of the plate (first configuration).
In the first configuration, each cooling body is movably supported by the support so as to be inclined with respect to the horizontal plane. According to this structure, each cooling body inclines according to the shape of the pressed part, when it is pressed on the to-be-cooled surface of a board | plate material. That is, even when the surface to be cooled of the plate material is not a horizontal surface, the plurality of cooling bodies follow the surface to be cooled of the plate material. Thereby, a some cooling body presses a board | plate material uniformly, and removes heat from a board | plate material uniformly. Therefore, thermal deformation of the plate material can be suppressed.
The cooler can further include a plurality of elastic bodies. Each of the elastic bodies is disposed between two adjacent cooling bodies among the plurality of cooling bodies, and couples the two cooling bodies. Preferably, the plurality of cooling bodies and the plurality of elastic bodies each have a frame shape and constitute a refrigerant passage extending in the welding direction (second configuration).
In the second configuration, the refrigerant passage is formed by connecting the frame-shaped cooling body and the elastic body, respectively. At the time of welding the plate material, the temperature rise of the cooling body can be suppressed by passing the refrigerant through the refrigerant passage. Therefore, the heat removal effect of the plate material by the cooling body can be enhanced, and the thermal deformation of the plate material can be more reliably suppressed.
Each of the supports may support the corresponding cooling body so as to be rotatable around a horizontal axis orthogonal to the welding direction (third configuration).
In the third configuration, the cooling body rotates around a horizontal axis orthogonal to the welding direction. When the surface to be cooled of the plate member has a gradient in the welding direction, the cooling body can be inclined along the gradient and follow the surface to be cooled of the plate member.
The welding apparatus according to the embodiment welds the first plate member and the second plate member. The welding apparatus includes a first cooler, a second cooler, and a welding torch. The first and second coolers have at least a first configuration. The first cooler cools the first plate member during welding. The second cooler cools the second plate member during welding. The welding torch is disposed between the first cooler and the second cooler (fourth configuration).
In the welding apparatus, the first and second coolers have at least a first configuration. For this reason, the first and second coolers can cause the plurality of cooling bodies to follow the first and second plate members, respectively. Therefore, each plate is uniformly pressed by a plurality of cooling bodies regardless of its shape. Thereby, the amount of heat removed from each plate becomes uniform, and thermal deformation of each plate can be suppressed.
Each of the first and second plate members may have a curved shape. The welding apparatus can further include a stage. The stage may include a curved surface for arranging the first and second plate members (fifth configuration).
According to the 5th structure, the curved 1st and 2nd board | plate material can be arrange | positioned on the curved surface of a stage. Therefore, the first and second plate materials can be reliably held during welding.
Hereinafter, embodiments will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the same or corresponding components are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the same description is not repeated. For convenience of explanation, in each drawing, the configuration may be simplified or schematically illustrated, or a part of the configuration may be omitted.

As shown in FIG. 1, the

As shown in FIG. 2, the
The
3 and 4 are a perspective view and a side view showing a part of the
The cooling
The plurality of cooling
The number and dimensions of the cooling
For example, the plurality of cooling
If the distance d between the cooling
The
The shapes of the cooling
The

As shown in FIG. 7, the plate member M is formed in a bow shape upward in a side view. The plate material M has a gradient along the welding direction X. In the to-be-cooled surface S of the plate M, the inclination (tangential angle) with respect to the horizontal plane is small at the central portion in the welding direction X and large at both end portions. For this reason, the inclination of the cooling
Thus, the cooling
When the intervals between the cooling
At the time of welding, the refrigerant can be supplied to the refrigerant passage P. The refrigerant is supplied from one opening of the refrigerant passage P and discharged from the other opening. For example, water can be used as the refrigerant.
[effect]
In the
The
In the
