Description
外部EGRでは、図1における排気管の触媒10の下流から、排気をEGR管40へ取り出し、EGRクーラ42で所定の温度まで冷却した後に、吸気管6上のコンプレッサ4a上流に還流させる。この方式によるEGRを、後述する内部EGRと区別するために外部EGRと呼ぶ。外部EGRにより再循環させる排気の量は、EGR弁41により一定に制御される。ここで、排気ガスの組成は、前燃焼サイクルの空燃比や吸気量ばらつき等により変動するため、EGR率は燃焼サイクルごとに変動する。
図15は、本発明の第1から第4の実施例によるエンジンの制御装置における、ガス温度およびEGR率の計算プロセスを示すフローチャートである。

Claims (18)
- シリンダと排気管とを備えた内燃機関を制御する内燃機関制御装置において、
前記排気管の排気ガスを前記シリンダの筒内に戻すように制御するEGR制御を行い、燃焼サイクルにおいて吸気バルブ及び排気バルブの双方が閉じている状態における筒内のガスの温度とEGR率とを求め、この求めたガスの温度とEGR率に基づいて前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける燃焼パラメータを補正する制御部を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、

前記内燃機関には点火を行う点火プラグに高電圧を供給するための点火コイルが取り付けられ、
前記制御部は、前記求めたガスの温度とEGR率に基づいて前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける前記点火コイルの二次側コイル電流の立ち上がりタイミングを補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度が大きいほど、又は求めたEGR率が小さいほど、前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける点火タイミングを遅角するように補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度が小さいほど、又は求めたEGR率が大きいほど、前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける点火タイミングを進角するように補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
ガスの温度とEGR率とにより点火タイミングが設定され、かつ、前記点火タイミングはガスの温度が大きいほど、又はEGR率が小さいほど、遅角するように設定され、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度、及びEGR率から設定された点火タイミングとなるように、前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける点火タイミングを補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
ガスの温度とEGR率とにより点火タイミングが設定され、かつ、前記点火タイミングはガスの温度が小さいほど、又はEGR率が大きいほど、点火タイミングを進角するように設定され、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度、及びEGR率から設定された点火タイミングとなるように、前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける点火タイミングを補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
燃料の着火性に基づいてガスの温度とEGR率とにより点火タイミングが設定され、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度、及びEGR率から設定された点火タイミングとなるように、前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける点火タイミングを補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
ガスの温度とEGR率とにより点火タイミングが設定され、かつ、前記点火タイミングは、燃料のオクタン価が高いほど進角側に設定され、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度、及びEGR率から設定された点火タイミングとなるように、前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける点火タイミングを補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
ガスの温度とEGR率とにより点火タイミングが設定され、かつ、前記点火タイミングは、燃料のオクタン価が低いほど遅角側に設定され、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度、及びEGR率から設定された点火タイミングとなるように、前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける点火タイミングを補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記制御部は、前記求めたガスの温度とEGR率に基づいて前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける圧縮比を補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記内燃機関の気筒外部の副室と筒内との間の流体流路を開閉するバルブが設けられ、
前記制御部は、前記求めたガスの温度とEGR率に基づいて前記バルブを開閉することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記内燃機関には筒内に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁が取り付けられ、
前記制御部は、前記求めたガスの温度とEGR率に基づいて前記燃焼サイクルと同じ燃焼サイクルにおける前記燃料噴射弁の噴射タイミングを補正することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記内燃機関には点火を行う点火プラグに高電圧を供給するための点火コイルが取り付けられ、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度が設定温度よりも低い場合、又は求めたEGR率が設定値よりも大きい場合、
同じ圧縮行程における自着火を促進する燃料を筒内に噴射することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記内燃機関には点火を行う点火プラグに高電圧を供給するための点火コイルが取り付けられ、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度が設定温度よりも高い場合、又は求めたEGR率が設定値よりも小さい場合、同じ圧縮行程における自着火を抑制する燃料を筒内に噴射することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記内燃機関には点火を行う点火プラグに高電圧を供給するための点火コイルが取り付けられ、
前記制御部は、求めたガスの温度とEGR率とに応じて前記点火コイルを使用した着火による燃焼と前記点火コイルを使用しない自着火による燃焼とを切り替えるように制御することを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記制御部は、筒内圧から同定することでガスの温度とEGR率とを求めることを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関制御装置において、
前記制御部は、吸気バルブ及び排気バルブの双方が閉じている状態における筒内のガスの筒内圧および筒内体積から、気体の比熱比を同定し、ガス温度とEGR率を仮定して計算した混合気の比熱比の残差を最小をとし、かつ混合気の状態方程式を満足する、ガス温度およびEGR率を同定することでガスの温度とEGR率とを求めることを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。
