先端に工具装着部が設けられた本体部における少なくとも基端側の外形を幅方向に分割した形状に形成され、互いに前記本体部の幅方向中央で接合される一対の樹脂材よりなる分割ハウジングと、
前記分割ハウジングの一部を覆うエラストマーよりなる被覆部と
を備えた電動工具であって、
前記分割ハウジングは、前記本体部の基端側における幅方向の端面を構成する一側面と、その一側面から前記本体部の幅方向に屈曲して接合部位まで延び前記本体部の基端面における幅方向片側を構成する分割基端面と、前記一側面及び前記分割基端面からそれぞれ屈曲して前記本体部の上面における幅方向片側を構成する分割上面と、前記一側面及び前記分割基端面からそれぞれ屈曲して前記本体部の下面における幅方向片側を構成する分割下面とを有し、
前記被覆部は、少なくとも前記一側面と前記分割基端面と前記分割上面と前記分割下面とを連続して覆うように設けられ、
前記分割基端面には、前記一側面側から流れてくる流体を前記本体部の幅方向中央に対応した接合部位側に流し易くするための整流部が形成されたことを特徴とする電動工具。
