Description
本発明は上記のような事情に基づいて完成されたものであって、外チューブに芯材を挿入した状態において、芯材の表面に設けられた目盛の視認性を向上させることを目的とする。
前記芯材は、形状記憶合金である。
本発明の一実施形態を図1から図14によって説明する。
1.トライアルロッドの構成
図1はトライアルロッド10の斜視図、図2はトライアルロッド10の分解斜視図である。また、図3はトライアルロッドの水平断面図、図4はトライアルロッドの垂直断面図(図1中のA−A線断面図)である。
図5はトライアルロッド10の断面図、図6はトライアルロッド10の比較例20を示す断面図である。図6の比較例20は、充填材(充填層)15を有さない点がトライアルロッド10と相違しており、外チューブ13と芯材11との間に空隙がある。
図7〜図9に示すように、腰椎50は、第1腰椎51、第2腰椎52、第3腰椎53、第4腰椎54、第5腰椎55とからなる。
トライアルロッド10は、外チューブ13と芯材11との間を、充填材15で埋める構造となっている。しかも、充填材15と外チューブ13は、いずれもシリコームポリマーを主成分とするシリコーンゴムであり、主成分が同一である。そのため、図5に示すように、芯材11の表面で反射した光の一部が、外チューブ13の内面で反射し難くなり、光が外チューブ13を透過し易くなる。よって、外チューブ13の透明度が低下することを抑制し、目盛11aの視認性を向上させることが出来る。
本発明は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような実施形態も本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。

Claims (2)
- 脊椎固定手術において椎骨同士を固定する脊椎ロッドの曲げ具合及び長さを事前確認するためのトライアルロッドであって、
表面に目盛を有し、金属材料からなる芯材と、
透明であって、前記芯材を覆う外チューブと、
透明であって、前記外チューブと前記芯材との間に充填される充填材とを含み、
前記外チューブはシリコーンゴム製であり、
前記充填材は液状シリコーンゴムである、トライアルロッド。 - 請求項1に記載のトライアルロッドであって、
前記芯材は、形状記憶合金である、トライアルロッド。
