Claims (19)

関心領域の1又は複数のリアルタイム画像を提供するために複数のアレイ位置から超音波信号を送信する超音波トランスデューサアレイと、
本体を有する刺入器具であって、前記本体上の関心位置に取り付けられる少なくとも1つの超音波トランスデューサを有し、前記少なくとも1つの超音波トランスデューサが前記複数のアレイ位置から送信される超音波信号に応答する、刺入器具と、
前記複数のアレイ位置から送信される超音波信号に対する前記少なくとも1つの超音波トランスデューサの応答に基づいて、前記刺入器具の位置及び向きを決定する信号処理モジュールであって、前記信号処理モジュールは更に、前記複数のアレイ位置から送信される超音波信号に応じて前記少なくとも1つの超音波トランスデューサによって受信されるパルスエコー信号に基づいて、前記関心位置が位置付けられている組織の媒質を分類するよう構成され、前記パルスエコー信号が前記組織の音響特性を測定するよう構成される、信号処理モジュールと、

リアルタイムに取得された2次元画像を、前記関心領域の3次元画像ボリューム及び/又は基準画像と位置合わせするステップと、
をコンピュータに実行させるプログラムコードを更に記憶した、請求項18に記載のコンピュータ可読記憶媒体。
