Description
・外科手術が侵襲的であり、処置のリスク対効果比を低減させる可能性がある。
・切除マージンが陰性であること、すなわち、全ての腫瘍細胞が確かに取り除かれていることが必要となる。
・超音波照射の終了から少なくとも2日経ってから、処置された有機組織の少なくとも1つの特性決定画像を取得することと、
・上記画像においてコントラスト境界の存在を検出することと、
・上記コントラスト境界に基づいて、超音波損傷の範囲を判定することと、
を含む。
・特性決定画像において、閉じたコントラスト境界の存在を検出すること;
・特性決定画像において、コントラスト境界の内側で超音波損傷を特定すること;
・超音波による特性決定画像を取得し、該超音波による特性決定画像のコントラスト境界の内側で、高レベルエコー領域と、該高レベルエコー領域およびコントラスト境界の近傍に位置する低レベルエコー領域とを特定すること;
・超音波を照射する前に有機組織の基準画像を取得して腫瘍を視覚化し、基準画像を特性決定画像と比較して治療マージンを観察すること;
・基準画像および特性決定画像を処理して超音波損傷の範囲を判定すること;
・特性決定画像中の超音波損傷によって定められる面積と基準画像中の腫瘍によって定められる面積との比を算出して、該比から損傷の範囲についてマージンの大きさを推定すること;
・複数の特性決定画像と複数の基準画像とを用いて、複数の特性決定画像中の超音波損傷によって定められる体積と複数の基準画像中の腫瘍によって定められる体積との比を算出して、該比から超音波損傷の範囲についてマージンの大きさを推定すること;
・6日〜30日後、好ましくはおよそ8日後に、特性決定画像を取得すること;および
・肝臓組織に相当する有機組織の損傷の特性を決定すること。
Claims (7)
- 放射面がトロイダル形状または準円筒形状を有するプローブ(2)によって送出される高密度焦点式超音波を照射することによって形成された有機組織の超音波損傷(T)の特性を決定するための画像を取得および処理する方法であって、
前記超音波を照射する前に、前記有機組織の基準画像(Ir)を取得することと、
超音波照射の終了から少なくとも2日経ってから、前記有機組織の少なくとも1つの特性決定画像(Ic)を取得することと、
デジタル画像処理を用いて、前記特性決定画像(Ic)においてコントラスト境界(16)の存在を検出することと、
前記コントラスト境界(16)に基づいて前記超音波損傷の範囲を判定して治療マージンの大きさを推定するために、前記基準画像および前記特性決定画像(Ir,Ic)を処理することと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記特性決定画像(Ic)において、デジタル画像処理を用いて、閉じたコントラスト境界(16)の存在を検出することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 超音波による特性決定画像(Ic)を取得することと、
前記超音波による特性決定画像(Ic)の前記コントラスト境界(16)の内側で、高レベルエコー領域(14)と、前記高レベルエコー領域(14)および前記コントラスト境界(16)の近傍に位置する低レベルエコー領域(15)とを特定することと、
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記特性決定画像(Ic)中の前記超音波損傷によって定められる面積と前記基準画像(Ir)中の腫瘍によって定められる面積との比を、前記損傷の範囲についてマージンの大きさを推定するために算出することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の特性決定画像(Ic)と複数の基準画像(Ir)とを用いて、前記複数の特性決定画像(Ic)中の前記超音波損傷によって定められる体積と前記複数の基準画像(Ir)中の前記腫瘍によって定められる体積との比を、前記比から前記超音波損傷の範囲についてマージンの大きさを推定するために算出することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波照射の終了から6日〜30日後に、前記特性決定画像(Ic)を取得することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波照射の終了から8日後に、前記特性決定画像(Ic)を取得することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の方法。
