Claims (12)
- n(nは4以上の正数)色の発光色のLEDからなるLED光源と、
前記LED光源のRGB各色の発光強度を検出して信号を出力する光検出部と、
前記n色のLEDを各々駆動するn個のLEDドライバを備えるドライバ部と、
前記n個のLEDドライバの各々に制御信号を出力する制御部と、を備え、
前記制御部は、駆動条件演算部とメモリとからなり、
前記駆動条件演算部は、前記光検出部が出力したRGB各色の信号と前記メモリに予め格納した情報とに基づき、前記n色の内の3色分の制御信号を算出し、前記3色を除くn−3色の各色と、前記3色の内のいずれか1つの色と、を組み合わせ、前記n−3色の各色のLEDを駆動するLEDドライバには、当該各色に組み合わせた色のLEDを駆動するLEDドライバと同じ制御信号を出力し、
前記メモリには、前記駆動条件演算部が前回算出した制御信号と、前記RGB各色の信号の目標値と、各色のLEDの発光特性に基づく前記光検出部の出力値と、が格納され、
前記駆動条件演算部は、前記光検出部が出力した信号と前記信号の目標値との差分を算出し、前記差分と、前記組み合わせた色同士の値を足し合わせて3色分にした前記出力値と、前記前回算出した制御信号と、に基づいて、前記3色分の制御信号を算出する、ことを特徴とするバックライト光源装置。 - 前記制御部から前記ドライバ部に前記制御信号を送るための制御信号線が、前記n個のLEDドライバに対して1本ずつ配線されており、前記組み合わせた色に対応する制御信号線に同じ制御信号を割り当てる、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 前記制御部から前記ドライバ部に前記制御信号を送るための制御信号線が、前記n個のLEDドライバに対して1本ずつ配線されており、前記組み合わせた色に対応する制御信号線のどちらか一方に、各色LEDの発光特性に基づく前記光検出部の出力値から算出される、補正係数による補正を加えた制御信号を割り当てる、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 前記n色の発光色は、白色を含む、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 前記n色の内の2色は、白色及び白色以外の発光色の中から選択される1色である、ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 前記白色以外の発光色の中から選択される1色は、緑色である、ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 前記n色の内の2色は、白色以外の発光色の中から選択される2色である、ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 前記同じ制御信号を割り当てるLEDドライバを選択するための切り替え部を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか一に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 白色を含む4色の発光色のLEDからなるLED光源と、
前記LED光源のRGB各色の発光強度を検出して信号を出力する光検出部と、
前記4色のLEDを各々駆動する4個のLEDドライバを備えるドライバ部と、
前記4個のLEDドライバの各々に制御信号を出力する制御部と、を備え、
前記制御部は、駆動条件演算部とメモリとからなり、
前記駆動条件演算部は、前記光検出部が出力したRGB各色の信号と前記メモリに予め格納した情報とに基づき、白色以外の3色分の前記制御信号を算出すると共に、白色のLEDを駆動するLEDドライバに出力する前記制御信号を一定にし、
前記メモリには、前記駆動条件演算部が前回算出した制御信号と、前記RGB各色の信号の目標値と、各色のLEDの発光特性に基づく前記光検出部の出力値と、が格納され、
前記駆動条件演算部は、前記光検出部が出力した信号と前記信号の目標値との差分を算出し、前記差分と、白色以外の3色分の前記出力値と、前記前回算出した制御信号と、に基づいて、前記3色分の制御信号を算出する、ことを特徴とするバックライト光源装置。 - 前記白色以外の3色は、RGBである、ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 前記制御信号は、前記LED光源をPWM駆動するためのPWM信号である、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれか一に記載のバックライト光源装置。
- 請求項1乃至11のいずれか一に記載のバックライト光源装置と、液晶表示パネルと、RGBの各色に透過ピーク強度を持つカラーフィルタと、を有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
