Description
本発明は、35 USC § 119(e)下において、2011年10月5日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/543,558号明細書(「INLINE STORAGE POUCHES FOR USE WITH BODY FLUIDS」)(この文献をあらゆる点において本願明細書に援用する);および2011年8月31日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/529,709号明細書(「EVAPORATIVE FLUID POUCH AND SYSTEMS FOR USE WITH BODY FLUIDS」)(この文献をあらゆる目的のために本願明細書に援用する)の利益を主張する。
Claims (15)
- 動物からの体液と共に使用するインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、前記インライン式貯蔵パウチが:
第1の壁、第2の壁、および仕切り壁を含み、それにより、第1のチャンバーおよび第2のチャンバーを有する内部空間が形成される可撓性のパウチ本体であって、近位端部および遠位端部を有する可撓性のパウチ本体と;
前記第1のチャンバー内に配置された第1のマニホールディング材と;
前記第2のチャンバー内に配置された流体貯蔵材と;
前記近位端部において前記可撓性のパウチ本体に結合されたパウチコネクタであって、前記動物から受け取った流体を前記第2のチャンバーに流体的に結合し、かつ減圧源から受けた減圧を前記第1のチャンバーに流体的に結合するパウチコネクタと
を含み、
前記可撓性のパウチ本体の前記仕切り壁は、近位端部および遠位端部を有し、および前記仕切り壁の前記近位端部は、前記パウチコネクタの一部分を受け入れる滲出液孔を有し、および前記仕切り壁の前記遠位端部は、前記第2のチャンバーから前記第1のチャンバーへの流体の流れを可能にする戻し孔を有することを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。 - 請求項1に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、前記パウチコネクタが:
前記動物からの前記流体を受け入れる吸込ポート、および前記動物からの前記流体を排出する出口を有する滲出液チャンバーを備えて形成されたコネクタ本体であって;
前記コネクタ本体はまた、流体を受け入れる吸込ポート、および流体を排出する出口ポートを有する減圧チャンバーを備えて形成され、前記減圧チャンバーの前記出口ポートは、前記減圧源から減圧を受け取るためのものであり;
前記滲出液チャンバーおよび減圧チャンバーが、前記パウチコネクタ内で互いに流体的に分離されている、コネクタ本体と;
前記出口ポートおよび前記第2のチャンバーに流体的に結合されて、前記滲出液チャンバーから前記第2のチャンバーへ前記流体を送るディスプレイスメント導管と
を含み、
前記減圧チャンバーの前記吸込ポートは前記第1のチャンバーに流体的に結合されて、前記第1のチャンバーに減圧を送ることを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。 - 請求項2に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、前記パウチコネクタが、さらに、前記減圧チャンバーの前記吸込ポートに近接した前記コネクタ本体に複数のオフセットを含むことを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。
- 請求項2に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、前記滲出液チャンバーの前記吸込ポートが、前記減圧チャンバーの前記出口ポートに実質的に平行していることを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。
- 請求項4に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、前記可撓性のパウチ本体の長手方向軸が、前記滲出液チャンバーの前記吸込ポートの軸に実質的に平行していることを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。
- 請求項2に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、前記滲出液チャンバーの前記吸込ポートがチューブコネクタを含み、および前記減圧チャンバーの前記出口ポートがチューブコネクタを含むことを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。
- 請求項1に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、さらに、前記仕切り壁に形成された前記戻し孔を被覆する第1の疎水性フィルタを含むことを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。
- 請求項1に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、前記インライン式貯蔵パウチが、さらに、前記流体貯蔵材を囲む第1のウィッキング部材および第2のウィッキング部材を含むことを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。
- 請求項1に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、さらに第2のマニホールディング材を含み、前記第2のマニホールディング材が前記第2のチャンバーに配置されていることを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。
- 請求項1に記載のインライン式貯蔵パウチにおいて、
前記パウチコネクタが:
前記動物からの前記流体を受け入れる吸込ポートおよび前記動物からの前記流体を排出する出口を有する滲出液チャンバーを備えて形成されたコネクタ本体であって、
前記コネクタ本体はまた、流体を受け入れる吸込ポートおよび流体を排出する出口ポートを有する減圧チャンバーを備えて形成され、前記減圧チャンバーの前記出口ポートは、前記減圧源から減圧を受けるためのものであり、
前記滲出液チャンバーおよび減圧チャンバーが、前記コネクタ内で互いに流体的に分離されている、コネクタ本体と
前記出口ポートおよび前記第2のチャンバーに流体的に結合され、前記滲出液チャンバーから前記第2のチャンバーへ前記流体を送るディスプレイスメント導管と、
前記減圧チャンバーの前記吸込ポートに近接した前記コネクタ本体上の複数のオフセットと、
前記仕切り壁に形成された前記戻し孔を被覆する第1の疎水性フィルタと;
前記第2のチャンバー内に配置される第2のマニホールディング材と
を含み、
前記減圧チャンバーの前記吸込ポートが前記第1のチャンバーに流体的に結合され、前記第1のチャンバーに減圧を送り、
前記滲出液チャンバーの前記吸込ポートは前記減圧チャンバーの前記出口ポートに実質的に平行しており、
前記可撓性のパウチ本体の長手方向軸は前記滲出液チャンバーの前記出口の軸に実質的に垂直であり;
前記インライン式貯蔵パウチは、さらに、前記流体貯蔵材を囲む第1のウィッキング部材および第2のウィッキング部材を含むことを特徴とする、インライン式貯蔵パウチ。 - 動物からの体液と共に使用するインライン式貯蔵パウチの製造方法において、
第1の壁、第2の壁、および仕切り壁を有し、それにより、第1のチャンバーおよび第2のチャンバーを有する内部空間が形成される可撓性のパウチ本体を形成するステップであって、前記可撓性のパウチ本体が近位端部および遠位端部を有するステップと;
前記第1のチャンバー内に第1のマニホールディング材を配置するステップと;
前記第2のチャンバー内に流体貯蔵材を配置するステップと;
前記近位端部において前記可撓性のパウチ本体にパウチコネクタを結合するステップであって、前記パウチコネクタは、前記動物からの流体を前記第2のチャンバーに流体的に結合し、かつ減圧源から受けた減圧を前記第1のチャンバーに流体的に結合し;
前記可撓性のパウチ本体の前記仕切り壁は近位端部および遠位端部を有するステップと;
前記仕切り壁の前記近位端部に近接して滲出液孔を形成するステップと;
前記滲出液孔を通して前記パウチコネクタの一部分を配置するステップと;
前記滲出液孔を通って延在する前記パウチコネクタの部分に対して前記仕切り壁を封止するステップと;
前記仕切り壁の前記遠位端部に近接して戻し孔を形成し、前記第2のチャンバーから前記第1のチャンバーへの流体の流れを可能にするステップと
を含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項11に記載の方法において、
前記パウチコネクタが:
前記動物からの前記流体を受け入れる吸込ポートおよび前記動物からの前記流体を排出する出口を有する滲出液チャンバーを備えて形成されたコネクタ本体であって、
前記コネクタ本体はまた、流体を受け入れる吸込ポートおよび流体を排出する出口ポートを有する減圧チャンバーを備えて形成され、前記減圧チャンバーの前記出口ポートは、前記減圧源から減圧を受けるためのものであり、
前記滲出液チャンバーおよび減圧チャンバーが前記コネクタ内で互いに流体的に分離されている、コネクタ本体と、
前記出口ポートおよび前記第2のチャンバーに流体的に結合されて、前記滲出液チャンバーから前記第2のチャンバーへ前記流体を送るディスプレイスメント導管と
を含み;
前記減圧チャンバーの前記吸込ポートを前記第1のチャンバーに流体的に結合して、前記第1のチャンバーに減圧を送ることを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項12に記載の方法において、さらに、前記減圧チャンバーの前記吸込ポートに近接した前記コネクタ本体上に複数のオフセットを形成することを含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- 人間を除く動物からの液体の処理方法において、
インライン式貯蔵パウチを提供するステップであって、前記インライン式貯蔵パウチが:
第1の壁、第2の壁、および仕切り壁を含み、それにより、第1のチャンバーおよび第2のチャンバーを有する内部空間が形成される可撓性のパウチ本体であって、近位端部および遠位端部を有する可撓性のパウチ本体、
前記第1のチャンバー内に配置された第1のマニホールディング材、
前記第2のチャンバー内に配置された流体貯蔵材、
前記近位端部において前記可撓性のパウチ本体に結合されたパウチコネクタであって、前記動物から受け取った流体を前記第2のチャンバーに流体的に結合し、かつ減圧源から受けた減圧を前記第1のチャンバーに流体的に結合するパウチコネクタ
を含むステップと、
前記パウチコネクタに減圧を送るステップと;
前記パウチコネクタに前記液体を送るステップと;
前記第2のチャンバーにおいて前記流体貯蔵材に前記液体を保持するステップと;
前記第1のチャンバーから前記第2のチャンバーへ減圧を流動させるステップと
を含み、
前記可撓性のパウチ本体の前記仕切り壁が近位端部および遠位端部を有し、および前記仕切り壁の前記近位端部が、前記パウチコネクタの一部分を受け入れる滲出液孔を有し、および前記仕切り壁の前記遠位端部が、前記第2のチャンバーから前記第1のチャンバーへの流体の流れを可能にする戻し孔を含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項14に記載の人間を除く動物からの液体の処理方法において、前記パウチコネクタが:
前記動物からの前記流体を受け入れる吸込ポートおよび前記流体を排出する出口を有する滲出液チャンバーを備えて形成されたコネクタ本体であって;

前記出口ポートおよび前記第2のチャンバーに流体的に結合され、前記滲出液チャンバーから前記第2のチャンバーへ前記流体を送るディスプレイスメント導管と
を含み、および
前記減圧チャンバーの前記吸込ポートが前記第1のチャンバーに流体的に結合されて、前記第1のチャンバーに減圧を送ることを特徴とする、方法。
