Description
The present invention relates to an LED module and an LED lighting device.
However, according to the configuration of
Therefore, the present invention provides an LED module and an LED lighting device that are configured independently from the lighting device, and enables an abnormal protection of the LED module or the lighting device without requiring separate wiring between the lighting device and the abnormality. It is an object of the present invention to provide a configuration capable of notifying a user of the operation of protection.
An LED module having first and second terminals according to the first aspect of the present invention includes an LED and a switch element connected in series between the first terminal and the second terminal, and the temperature of the LED module. A temperature detection circuit for detecting the temperature, and a control configured to turn on the switch element when the detected temperature detected by the temperature detection circuit is lower than the threshold value, and to open the switch element when the detected temperature is equal to or higher than the threshold value. The circuit includes a light emitting element that is connected on a current path that is closed when the control circuit opens the switch element and that emits light when the current path is energized.
According to the LED module, the switch element connected in series with the LED, the temperature detection circuit for detecting the temperature of the LED module, and the switch element are made conductive when the detected temperature is lower than the predetermined value, and the detected temperature is equal to or higher than the predetermined value. A control circuit configured to open the switch element is provided. Accordingly, in the LED module configured independently from the lighting device, it is possible to protect the LED module or the lighting device connected to the LED module without requiring separate wiring between the lighting device and the lighting device. Still further, the light emitting element is connected on a current path that is closed when the control circuit opens the switch element. As a result, the LED is turned off and the light emitting element emits light substantially simultaneously, and the user can be notified of the malfunction protection operation by the light emission of the light emitting element.
An LED lighting apparatus including an LED module having a first terminal and a switch module having a second terminal according to the second aspect of the present invention is included in the LED module, and an anode end is connected to the first terminal. An LED, a switch element included in the switch module and connected between the cathode end of the LED and the second terminal, and a temperature detection element, and configured to detect the temperature of the LED module, and at least the temperature When the detection element is included in the LED module and the remaining part is included in the switch module, and the detection temperature detected by the temperature detection circuit is less than the threshold, the switch element is made conductive, and the detection temperature is the threshold In such a case, the switch element is configured to be opened, all or a part is included in the switch module, and the remaining part is And a control circuit included in the ED module, included in the switch module, the control circuit is connected on the current path is closed when opening the switching element, and a light emitting element that emits light by current of the current path.
According to the LED lighting device, an LED module including an LED and a temperature detection element and a switch module including a switch element connected to the LED are provided. A control circuit configured to turn on the switch element when the temperature detected by the temperature detection element is lower than the predetermined value and to open the switch element when the detected temperature is equal to or higher than the predetermined value is provided with the LED module and the switch. It is distributed and mounted on modules as appropriate. As a result, in an LED lighting device including an LED module configured independently of the lighting device, it is possible to protect the LED module or the lighting device connected to the LED module without requiring separate wiring between the lighting device and the LED lighting device. It becomes. In addition, the above-described effects can be obtained with a simple additional configuration even for an existing LED module in which only LEDs are mounted. Still further, in the switch module, the light emitting element is connected on a current path that is closed when the control circuit opens the switch element. Accordingly, the LED is turned off and the light emitting element emits light substantially simultaneously, and it is possible to notify the user of the activation of the protective operation caused by the abnormal heat generation of the LED module by the light emission of the light emitting element.
In the LED module of the first form or the LED lighting apparatus of the second form, the anode end of the LED is connected to the first terminal, and the switch element is connected between the cathode end of the LED and the second terminal. The control circuit includes a thyristor, the anode terminal of the thyristor is connected to the control terminal of the switch element and connected to the first terminal via a resistor, the cathode terminal of the thyristor is connected to the second terminal, and the detected temperature Is equal to or greater than the threshold value, the light emitting element is connected between the circuit point where the voltage to the second terminal rises and the control terminal of the thyristor. According to this configuration, a trigger current flows in the thyristor when the detected temperature rises abnormally, and the light emitting element emits light and a holding current flows in the thyristor due to the trigger current. Thereby, the conduction state of the thyristor, the non-conduction state of the switch element, and the turn-off of the LED are maintained. That is, the light-emitting element emits light when the temperature is abnormally increased, and the protection state by turning off the LED is maintained. Therefore, the activation of the protective operation is notified to the user by the light emission of the light emitting element, and the abnormal state or the progress of the failure is surely prevented by turning off and holding the LED.

According to this configuration, the light emission of the light emitting element, the conduction state of the thyristor, the non-conduction state of the switch element, and the turn-off of the LED are held by the holding current flowing through the thyristor when the detected temperature rises abnormally. That is, the protection state by the light emission of the light emitting element and the turn-off of the LED is maintained when the temperature is abnormally increased. Therefore, the activation of the protection operation is notified to the user by the light emission of the light emitting element, and the notification state is maintained by holding the light emission. Moreover, the progress of abnormality or failure is surely prevented by turning off and holding the LED.
In the LED module of the first form or the LED lighting apparatus of the second form, the anode end of the LED is connected to the first terminal, and the switch element is provided between the cathode end of the LED and the second terminal. Connected, the control circuit includes a transistor, the collector terminal of the transistor is connected to the control terminal of the switch element via the light emitting element, and is connected to the first terminal via the light emitting element and the resistor, and the emitter terminal of the transistor is The transistor is connected to the second terminal so that the transistor is turned on by a circuit in which the voltage to the second terminal rises when the detected temperature is equal to or higher than the threshold value. According to this configuration, when the abnormality is resolved after the abnormality occurs, the lighting of the LED and the light-emitting element can be turned off due to the conduction of the switch element.
In the LED module of the first form or the LED lighting apparatus of the second form, the anode end of the LED is connected to the first terminal, and the switch element is provided between the cathode end of the LED and the second terminal. The control circuit includes first and second transistors, the collector terminal of the first transistor is connected to the control terminal of the switch element via the light emitting element, and the first terminal is connected via the light emitting element and the first resistor.
<First Embodiment>
FIG. 1 shows a block diagram of an
The
FIG. 2A shows a circuit configuration of the
The
The
The
The
The
Below, operation | movement of the
The following is mainly assumed as a cause that the detected temperature becomes equal to or higher than the abnormal threshold in the LED module 1 (in particular, the LED 10).

According to this configuration, the conduction state of the
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the
Further, the
<Modification of First Embodiment>
In the above-described embodiment, the configuration in which the
As shown in FIG. 2B, the anode of the
As in the first embodiment, when the detected temperature becomes equal to or higher than the abnormal threshold during an abnormality, the
Also with this configuration, the conduction state of the
Therefore, even if the detected temperature falls below the abnormal threshold value, the
In addition, you may use together embodiment shown in FIG. 2A, and the modification shown in FIG. 2B. That is, the
<Second Embodiment>
In the first embodiment, the LED module, the
The
The
4A and 4B show examples of the circuit configuration of the
In the example shown in FIG. 4A, the
In the example shown in FIG. 4B, the
By such component distribution, the
As an alternative example, as shown in FIG. 5, the
In this case, the
In this distribution, between the LED module 2 (substrate B1) and the switch module 3 (substrate B2), the wiring to which the potential of the high potential side line L1 can be applied is only the wiring W3 (when the
Each of the above terminals T31 to T82 means a node to which the associated wiring is connected to each module, and may be constituted by a connector, a socket, or the like, or an insertion hole provided in each module. Alternatively, a node provided on each substrate may be used.
Regarding the operation of the
As described above, the
In the
<変形例>
<Modification>
Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention can be modified into various modes as shown below, for example.
(1) Modification 1 (Modification of the control circuit 40)
In each of the above embodiments, the
As shown in FIG. 6, the
During normal lighting, that is, when the detected temperature is less than the abnormal threshold value, the resistance value of the
On the other hand, when the abnormality occurs and the detected temperature becomes equal to or higher than the abnormality threshold value, the resistance value of the
Thus, according to the configuration of the present modification, when the abnormality is resolved after the abnormality occurs, the lighting of the
(2) Modification 2 (Modification of the control circuit 40)
In each of the above embodiments, the
As shown in FIG. 7, the
The
During normal lighting, that is, when the detected temperature is less than the abnormal threshold, the resistance value and the voltage at both ends of the
On the other hand, when the abnormality occurs and the detected temperature becomes equal to or higher than the abnormality threshold, the resistance value of the
Here, the
Thus, according to the configuration of the present modification, the interval from the turn-off operation of the
(3) Modification 3 (Deformation of temperature detection element)
In each of the above embodiments, the PTC thermistor is used as the temperature detection element of the
In addition, although this modification was demonstrated as a modification of the
(4) Modification 4 (Deformation of temperature detection element)
In each of the above embodiments, a return type element (PTC thermistor) is used as the temperature detection element of the
