Description
Claims (17)
- 熱交換システム(12)から作動流体を受け入れるように構成されるサプライルーメン(106)と、前記熱交換システムに前記作動流体を戻すように構成されるリターンルーメン(108)と、を有する近位部、および
前記近位部と流体連通し、かつ複数の離れた離散ループ(102)を規定する遠位部(104)を含み、
前記離散ループ(102)のそれぞれが前記サプライルーメンと接続され、該離散ループ(102)のそれぞれがコネクタ部分によって隣のループに接続されており、前記複数の離れた離散ループ(102)のそれぞれは、閉じた近位面と該近位面に平行な閉じた遠位面とを規定するとともに前記カテーテルの長軸に略垂直な方向に配向され、共に該長軸のシャフトによって接続されるものであり、前記複数の離れた離散ループ(102)のそれぞれが膨張したときに、前記作動流体が流れ得るそれぞれのルーメンを囲む壁と、前記カテーテルの外部の流体が流れ得る壁によって形成された前記複数の離れた離散ループ(102)それぞれの中央開口と、を有する、
カテーテル。 - 前記作動流体で膨らんだときの前記ループ(102)がトロイダル形状である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体で膨らんだときの前記ループ(102)が円盤状である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体で膨らんだときの前記ループ(102)が長方形である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体で膨らんだときの前記ループ(102)が三角形である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体がサプライポートからリターンポートに流路を介して循環するように、前記離散ループ(102)が、前記サプライルーメン(106)と、前記離散ループによって規定される流路と、を接続するサプライポート(112)、および前記サプライルーメンと、前記離散ループの流路と、を接続する前記リターンポート(114)を含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体が実質的に完全に前記流路を介して前記サプライポートから前記リターンポートに流れなければならないように、前記サプライポート(112)と前記リターンポート(114)とが、互いに密接に並置され、セパレーター(116)をまたぐ、請求項6に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記最遠位ループ(102)が、前記リターンルーメンに接続されている、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 熱交換システム(12)から作動流体を運び、カテーテルを用いる患者の熱を交換するチューブ(104)に沿って配置される一連の中空ループ(102)を含むカテーテルであって、膨らんだときの前記ループが、それぞれ閉じた外周面の全体にわたって前記カテーテルの長軸を略横切る方向に向き、互いに平行であり、かつ、前記ループそれぞれは、前記長軸に平行な中空通路を完全に囲み、前記ループは血液が前記ループの閉じた外面の周りと各中空通路を通って流れ得るように構成されている、カテーテル。
- 前記作動流体で膨らんだときの前記ループ(102)がトロイダル形状である、請求項9に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体で膨らんだときの前記ループ(102)が円盤状である、請求項9に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体で膨らんだときの前記ループ(102)が長方形である、請求項9に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体で膨らんだときの前記ループ(102)が三角形である、請求項9に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体がサプライポートからリターンポートに流路を介して循環するように、各ループ(102)が前記カテーテルによって規定される前記サプライルーメン(106)と、前記ループによって規定される前記流路とを接続する前記サプライポート(112)および前記中空ループの流路と接続する前記リターンポート(114)とを含む、請求項9に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記作動流体が実質的に完全に前記流路を介して前記サプライポートから前記リターンポートに流れなければならないように、前記サプライポート(112)と前記リターンポート(114)とが、互いに密接に並置され、セパレーター(116)をまたぐ、請求項14に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記最遠位ループ(102)が、前記リターンルーメンに接続されている、請求項9に記載のカテーテル。
- 各遠位ループ(102)が、前記リターンチューブの長軸を横切る方向に向いている近位面と前記近位面に平行である遠位面とを規定する、請求項16に記載のカテーテル。
