Description
The present invention relates to an embossing apparatus and its application apparatus for obtaining embossed crepe paper for use in sanitary uses such as toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen paper, tissue paper, and paper products for household use, and the embossing apparatus. It is related with the embossing method using this.
Crepe paper used for paper products for hygiene use and household use is required to be bulky and have high water absorption and is often embossed.
For example, FIG. 7 shows an embossed crepe paper production line described in
In this prior art, the
However, the above prior art has the following problems.
(1) If the running crepe paper P is impregnated with water to make it wet, the crepe paper P may be stretched and wrinkled.
(2) If the traveling speed after wetting is made faster than the traveling speed before wetting of the crepe paper P, the generation of wrinkles can be prevented, but the embossed product is soft and has little elongation. The product may be inferior.
(3) Paper with low wet strength such as toilet paper may break during running.
Therefore, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and to provide an embossing device capable of producing a flexible and high-quality embossed crepe paper having excellent operability, an application device thereof, and an embossing method Is to provide.

In the present invention, the crepe paper is stretched by wetting. However, since the crepe paper travels at a constant speed from the time of wetting to the time of pressing the emboss, the stretch in the paper traveling direction is constrained. It promotes elongation (expansion) in the thickness direction. This elongation in the thickness direction is used as an allowance when an uneven shape is formed on the crepe paper by embossing.
According to the present invention, it is easy to form clear embossing, and even after the embossing is pressed, the stretch allowance of the crepe paper remains, and a bulky and flexible embossed crepe paper rich in elasticity can be obtained.
Also, since the crepe paper is impregnated with moisture while being held on the roll surface of the embossing unit, the travel of the crepe paper is stable, and the elongation (expansion) in the thickness direction of the paper causes the generation of wrinkles during travel It is rare to become. Further, even a crepe paper having a low wet strength is less likely to break and has excellent workability and operability. Further, by using a hot embossing roll as a drying device, there is no need to separately provide a drying device, which contributes to downsizing and cost reduction of the entire production line.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a schematic configuration of an embossing apparatus according to a first embodiment of the present invention, which is an example in which a crepe paper on a rubber roll is impregnated with a treatment liquid by a spray apparatus.
In FIG. 1, an embossing unit E1 is composed of a
The
A combination of a steel embossing roll and an elastic rubber roll is generally called “steel rubber embossing”.
The crepe paper P contacts the
A
In addition, you may use the coating roll 4 and the
Here, the traveling speed of the crepe paper P is constant from the time when the crepe paper P passes through the point A to the time when it passes through the point B. This is the same in the second to fourth embodiments described later.
Although the crepe paper P impregnated with the treatment liquid is stretched, the crepe paper P has a constant traveling speed. Therefore, the elongation of the crepe paper P in the traveling direction is restricted, and this elongation is Encourage elongation in the thickness direction. This elongation in the thickness direction is used as an elongation allowance when an uneven shape is formed on the crepe paper P by embossing pressing at point B which is an emboss forming portion.
Further, in this embodiment, since the crepe paper P is wetted while running while being held on the surface of the
Further, the wet crepe paper P can form clear embossments because the pulp fibers are plasticized by moisture, and the unevenness of the embossed unevenness is formed by elongation in the thickness direction.
The crepe paper P is dried by receiving heat energy from the
Next, FIG. 2 shows a schematic configuration of an embossing apparatus according to a second embodiment of the present invention. A treatment liquid is applied to a rubber roll by a coating roll, and the treatment liquid is transferred to crepe paper. It is an example.
In FIG. 2, the structure of the embossing unit E1 is the same as that of FIG. In this embodiment, a coating roll 4 and a
Also in this embodiment, embossing is formed on the crepe paper P at point B, and the crepe paper P is dried while moving from point B to point C to become embossed crepe paper P ′.
In addition, instead of the coating roll 4 and the

In FIG. 3, the configuration of the embossing unit E1 is the same as that in FIGS. Also, the coating roll 4 and the

5 and 6, the embossing device of the first embodiment is used as the
Next, characteristics of crepe paper and processing liquid used in each embodiment, processing conditions, and the like will be described.
[Crepe paper]
The basis weight of the crepe paper is preferably 6 to 60 [g / m 2 ], more preferably 9 to 30 [g / m 2 ], and particularly preferably 10 to 25 [g / m 2 ]. If the basis weight is low, paper making is difficult, and if the basis weight is too high, the strength becomes too strong, making it unsuitable as sanitary paper or household paper. The raw material for the crepe paper is preferably wood pulp that can generate hydrogen bonds by drying.
The underwater elongation of the crepe paper is preferably 5 to 70 [%]. If the underwater elongation is 5 [%] or less, it is easy to break during traveling, has little elongation in the thickness direction when wet, and breaks easily due to embossing pressure. Moreover, it is difficult to make paper when the underwater elongation is 70% or more.
In addition, the more preferable range of elongation in water is 10-50 [%], Most preferably, it is 12-30 [%]. Within this range, good running properties of the crepe paper can be obtained, and clear and flexible embossing can be formed.
Here, the underwater elongation of the crepe paper was measured by the following method.
(1) Put water in the immersion container.
(2) Cut one sample 100 [mm] in the vertical direction and 25 [mm] in the horizontal direction of the paper.
(3) The sample is immersed in the water of the immersion container.
(4) After 60 seconds, the length of the sample in the vertical direction is measured.
The measurement formula of the elongation in water is as shown in the following
[Formula 1]
Underwater elongation [%]: {(L2-L1) / L1} × 100
L1: Vertical length of the sample before immersion L2: Vertical length of the sample after immersion
[Treatment solution]
The treatment liquid for wetting the crepe paper can contain various moisturizing ingredients, oils, surfactants and the like in addition to water or water in order to improve the softness of the product.
[Wetting treatment]
For the wetting, 0.1 to 100% of the treatment liquid per basis weight of the crepe paper is continuously impregnated. The treatment liquid is preferably impregnated with 0.5 to 50 [%], more preferably 1 to 20 [%].
The treatment liquid is impregnated so as to be uniform in the width direction of the crepe paper. The impregnation method can be applied directly to the surface of the crepe paper, or applied to a roll of the embossing unit (
As described above, the
[Dry]
It is preferable that the crepe paper pressed with the emboss is dried quickly. For this reason, it is preferable to use the
Since the crepe paper contacts the surface of the
In the drying treatment, the surface temperature of the
The surface temperature of the
[Running speed]
The travel speed of the crepe paper is defined by the time from when the crepe paper becomes wet until the emboss is pressed. The required time is preferably 10 seconds or less, more preferably 3 seconds or less, and particularly preferably 1 second or less. After 10 seconds or more from the wetting, the crepe paper is likely to be wrinkled and more likely to break.
The travel speed of the crepe paper is constant from the time of wetting to the time of pressing the emboss.
[Emboss shape]
When the emboss shape formed on the crepe paper is a dot-like emboss pattern, the height difference of the emboss is preferably 0.05 to 3.00 [mm], and the number of points per unit area is preferably 4 to 200 [pieces / cm 2 ]. More preferably, the height difference of the emboss is 0.1 to 1.00 [mm], the number of points per unit area is 10 to 150 [piece / cm 2 ], and particularly preferably, the height difference of the emboss is 0.2. ˜0.70 [mm], and the number of points per unit area is 20 to 100 [pieces / cm 2 ]. Further, the embossed shape may be a design pattern having a design property.
