Description
The present invention relates to a paper cup used when drinking various beverages such as water, tea, coffee, juice, beer, liquor, or a paper cup containing jelly-like food or yogurt (hereinafter, a paper cup for jelly yogurt), and Paper cup base paper suitable for manufacturing a paper cup containing ice confectionery and ice cream (hereinafter referred to as ice confectionery / ice ice paper cup), and a paper cup for beverages and a paper cup for jelly / yogurt manufactured using the same. And a paper cup for ice confectionery and ice.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a general manufacturing process of a paper cup, and the cross-section of a bonded portion (seal portion) of a side wall sheet that forms a body portion of a paper cup prior to this is held in the cup ( We have pointed out inconveniences such as contamination of contents and sheet strength reduction caused by contact with beverages, and have proposed a paper cup manufacturing technique that eliminates these inconveniences. Patent Document 1 proposes a structure in which coextruded films of a polyester resin and a polyolefin resin are arranged on both the outer surface and the inner surface of a paper cup base paper support (base material including paper) in order to eliminate the above disadvantages. ing.
Patent Document 2 discloses a paper cup used for instant noodles and instant soups. The paper cup used for such instant noodles and the like has a considerably different layer structure from the paper cup for beverages. Paper cups used for instant noodles and the like are designed on the assumption that the contents (instant noodles, soup, etc.) are stored and held in the inside of the cup and are used by pouring hot water. For this reason, paper cup base paper used for instant noodles and the like has a more severe requirement such as moisture resistance and stability when pouring hot water. As a result, the paper cup base paper used for instant noodles, etc. is more multilayered, including rubber layers, etc., compared to base paper for general beverage paper cups, paper cups for jelly / yogurt, ice confectionery / ice paper cups, Since the thicker structure is thicker, the basic design of the two is completely different even in the same paper cup.
By the way, the present inventors have noted that the following problems may occur when a paper cup for beverages is manufactured.
Generally, a paper cup for beverages is manufactured through the following steps. A paper cup base paper in which a resin film layer of polyethylene or the like is previously laminated (bonded) on one side is punched out and formed into a fan shape, and the straight portions at both ends of the fan shape are bonded so that the resin film layer becomes the inner surface. Further, a circular bottom plate is inserted into the bottom and pressed into a cup shape. Finally, a curl portion (hereinafter referred to as a top curl portion) is formed by a top curl process in which an upper end portion serving as a mouth of the cup is wound outward to form a beverage paper cup.
Here, the top curl treatment is performed while applying oil for curling treatment such as vegetable oil, silicon oil, liquid paraffin (hereinafter referred to as curling oil) to the mouth of the cup. However, immediately after the top curl treatment, a stain like oil stain (hereinafter referred to as a penetration mark) may occur on the outer periphery of the top curl portion. FIG. 1 is a schematic view for explaining the state of the penetration mark, and the paper cup PC has a top curl portion TC formed at the mouth. The penetration mark PM is generated like an oil stain on the outside of the paper cup and around the mouth. Although the paper cup in which the penetration mark is generated in this way is not particularly problematic from the viewpoint of safety, the design is remarkably impaired, so that it is problematic to ship it as a product.
The present inventors have inferred that the permeation mark is generated when the oil and fat for curling penetrates in contact with the base material layer (pulp layer) of the cup base paper. As described above, since polyethylene or the like is laminated on one side of the base material layer (inner side of the paper cup), the curling fat or oil adhering to this side does not form penetration marks. On the other hand, the oil for curling adhered to the outer surface side of the paper cup permeates when it comes into contact with the base material layer to generate a permeation mark. It was also confirmed that the penetration mark gradually became thinner as it diffused and disappeared spontaneously after a certain period of time.
However, in many cases, a paperboard having a coating layer and having a plurality of layers is used as a base material layer used for a paper cup base paper. Thus, when the base material layer has a coating layer, the time until the disappearance of the generated penetration mark tends to be extended. Further, a colored pulp layer may be provided for the purpose of imparting light shielding properties to the paper cup base paper. In this case, the generated penetration marks are particularly noticeable.
Although the generated penetration mark disappears, it takes time to disappear, so waiting for this time delays the shipment of the paper cup as a product and increases the storage period. This state results in an increase in the manufacturing cost of the paper cup.
In addition, the paper cup may generate penetration marks during the manufacturing process. The paper cup for beverage after manufacture is generally stored in a state where a plurality of cups are stacked (stacked state). In such a storage mode, the upper paper cup is overlaid with the upper paper cup stored therein. At this time, for example, the curling fat may be attached to the periphery of the mouth on the inner surface side (resin film layer side) of the lower paper cup. In this case, the outer surface (surface without a resin film layer such as polyethylene) around the mouth of the upper paper cup is in contact with the oil for curling on the inner surface of the lower paper cup. As a result, a permeation mark is generated in the upper paper cup. The penetrating traces generated in this manner require much longer time to disappear because the paper cups are closely overlapping each other.
Now, with the technique disclosed in the above-mentioned cited document 1, a paper cup is manufactured using a paper cup base paper provided with resin film layers on both the inside and outside of the substrate. Therefore, it can be expected that the problem of the penetration mark will not occur. However, the paper cup base paper of Cited Document 1 has a structure in which resin film layers are provided on both the inside and outside of the base material, so that the manufacturing cost increases, and the thickness of the base paper also increases, so the flexibility is lowered and the assemblability is poor. Invite other problems.
As described above, the technique disclosed in the cited document 2 relates to a heavy paper cup in which the layer configuration intended to store instant noodles is multilayered and complicated. In order to manufacture a paper cup for beverages, it is not realistic to adopt the specifications of the paper cup base paper described in the cited document 2, but so-called over-specification is caused, which also causes an increase in manufacturing cost.
In the above description, a paper cup for beverages has been described as an example. However, the same problem arises in the case of a paper cup for jelly and yogurt and a paper cup for ice confectionery and ice.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a paper cup base paper that is suitable for beverages and can suppress the occurrence of permeation traces of curling fats and oils with a simple configuration, and has excellent processing suitability and printability. Is to provide paper cups for beverages, jelly and yogurt, and ice confectionery and ice using the same.
The object is to provide a sheet-like base material layer formed from pulp as a main raw material, a resin film layer that is provided on one surface of the base material layer and becomes an inner surface when formed as a paper cup, and the resin and a coating layer provided on the other surface of the base layer opposite the film layer, the paper cup base paper having a print layer provided on the coating layer, the curling fats used in the top curl processing, the Ri Oh and oil resistant layer from the outside of the paper cup is opposite prevented from penetrating into the base layer is provided, the oil layer was newly deployed between the coating layer and the base layer oil It can be achieved by a paper cup base paper characterized by being an additional oil-resistant layer .
The oil-resistant layer is formed as an oil-resistant layer by subjecting at least one of the base layer and the coating layer to an oil-resistant treatment (that is, the base layer itself or the coating layer itself is used as the oil-resistant layer). It may be further included .
The base material layer is a laminated pulp layer formed by laminating a plurality of pulp layers, and the laminated pulp layer may include a colored pulp layer.
The oil resistant layer can be formed based on an oil resistant agent selected from the group consisting of fluororesin and acrylic resin.
The above object can also be achieved by a beverage paper cup, a jelly / yogurt paper cup, and an ice confectionery / ice paper cup manufactured using any of the above paper cup base papers.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a paper cup base paper that has a simple configuration and can suppress the occurrence of permeation marks of curling fats and oils and that is excellent in processing suitability and printability of the paper cup. And the paper cup for drinks manufactured using this paper cup base paper of this invention does not have a penetration mark, and can be provided as a paper cup excellent in aesthetics.
DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, a paper cup base paper according to the present invention and a preferred embodiment of a beverage paper cup, which is an embodiment of the paper cup base paper, will be described.
FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the layer configuration of the paper cup base paper 1 as an example according to the present invention. In FIG. 2, the layer configuration example is shown with the left side being the inside of the paper cup and the right side being the outside. A paper cup base paper 1 has a sheet-like base material layer 2 formed from pulp as a main raw material, and an inner surface when formed as a paper cup on one side of the base material layer (the left side in FIG. 2). A
The base material layer 2 is a layer formed using a sheet material manufactured using wood pulp as a main raw material. As the pulp here, a conventionally known pulp such as softwood kraft pulp, hardwood kraft pulp, crushed wood pulp, thermomechanical pulp, chemithermomechanical pulp, etc., alone or mixed at any blending ratio is adopted. be able to. In the case of the beverage paper cup contemplated by the present invention, it is preferred to use pulp containing softwood kraft pulp and hardwood kraft pulp. For example, as illustrated in FIG. 2, the base material layer 2 of the paper cup base paper 1 according to the present invention is a white board in which three layers of a surface layer 2-1, a core layer 2-2, and a back layer 2-3 are combined. Paper can be employed. Such paperboard can be obtained by a known multilayer papermaking machine. It is not limited to the three layers exemplified, and a paperboard having three or more layers such as five layers and seven layers may be used. In addition, when using a paperboard for the base material layer 2 to make a laminated pulp layer, a part of the pulp layer may be used as a colored pulp layer for reasons such as to obtain opacity when formed as a paper cup. Also good.
As needed, a wet paper strength improver, a filler, a sizing agent, a dry paper strength enhancer, a yield improver, a color pigment, and the like are appropriately added to the base material constituting the base material layer 2 in an appropriate amount. May be. The wet paper strength improver can be selected from the commonly used known ones, and is preferably selected from, for example, polyamide / polyamine resins, polyacrylamide resins, melamine resins and the like. The blending amount of such a wet paper strength improver is suitably about 0.1 to 0.7 wt% of the wet paper strength improver relative to the pulp. Even if the blending amount exceeds 0.7 wt%, it is difficult to obtain an effect commensurate with the amount added, and the cost increases, and the disaggregation property is lowered, making it difficult to reuse the paper cup base paper of the present invention as waste paper later. This is because it is expected. Further, when the blending amount of the wet paper strength improver is less than 0.1 wt%, it is difficult to obtain a sufficient wet paper strength.

And since the paper cup base paper 1 which concerns on this invention is equipped with the novel structure for preventing generation | occurrence | production of the penetration mark mentioned above in addition to the above-mentioned base paper basic structure, this point is further demonstrated.
As shown in FIG. 2, in the illustrated paper cup base paper 1, an additional oil-resistant layer 6 is used as an oil-resistant layer that prevents the oil for curling from penetrating into the base material layer 2 between the base material layer 2 and the coating layer 4. Is provided. Such a novel oil-resistant layer can be formed, for example, as a layer obtained by adding an oil-resistant agent to a resin layer mainly composed of starch and PVA (polyvinyl alcohol). As the oil-resistant agent here, for example, a material selected from the group of fluororesin and acrylic resin can be suitably used, and more preferably in consideration of damage (bending or heating) to the oil-resistant layer during processing. It is more preferable to use a fluorinated oil-resistant resin such as Unidyne TG-8111 manufactured by Daikin Industries or Asahi Guard E060 manufactured by Asahi Glass, which has oil repellency for the resin itself.
The additional oil resistant layer 6 shown in FIG. 2 should be understood as a mere example of the oil resistant layer. The oil-resistant layer provided on the paper cup base paper 1 of the present invention is not particularly limited as far as the oil-resistant layer is provided as long as it can prevent the occurrence of the above-described penetration mark, and is novel as illustrated in FIG. An oil-resistant layer may be provided, or an existing layer may be made into an oil-resistant layer by subjecting it to an oil-resistant treatment. Furthermore, the structure by which the some oil-resistant layer coexists in the paper cup base paper 1 may be sufficient.
That is, the oil resistant layer may be an oil resistant layer newly provided between the base material layer 2 and the coating layer 4. In addition, the oil resistant layer may be an oil resistant layer by subjecting at least one of the base layer 2 and the coating layer 4 to an oil resistant treatment.
Here, the most effective oil-resistant layer design was formed by subjecting the base material layer 2 to an oil-resistant additional oil-resistant layer 6 newly disposed between the base material layer 2 and the coating layer 4 and an oil-proof treatment to the base material layer 2. An oil-resistant layer composite type comprising an oil-resistant base material layer. This is the layer structure illustrated in FIG. 2, and the base material layer 2 is further subjected to oil resistance treatment. Since the base material layer 2 in FIG. 2 is a paperboard having a surface layer 2-1, a core layer 2-2, and a back layer 2-3, it is preferable to first subject the surface layer 2-1 close to the surface to an oil resistance treatment. And if necessary, if the core layer 2-2 and the back layer 2-3 are further subjected to oil resistance treatment, the base material layer 2 can be formed into a more preferable oil resistance layer.
The paper cup base paper according to the present invention described above can be formed into a paper cup for beverages by the same paper cup manufacturing process as before. The basis weight of the paper cup base paper is not particularly limited, but for example, it is preferably 180 g / m 2 or more and 350 g / m 2 or less.
The paper cup base paper 1 having the above configuration is punched into a fan shape, heat-sealed so that the
When manufacturing such a paper cup, since the paper cup base paper of the present invention has a simple configuration that is not heavy, it has excellent processability and can be produced efficiently.
Examples of the present invention will be further described below.
Table 1 below shows data on a configuration example of the paper cup base paper of the present invention. And based on the paper cup base paper shown in this Table 1, the oil-resistant layer was changed suitably and the paper cup base paper was produced, and the paper cup manufactured using this was evaluated as Examples 1-4. Further, Comparative Example 1 was also evaluated. Table 2 summarizes the results.

Table 2 shows the results of evaluating the paper cups of Examples 1 to 4 and Comparative Example 1 manufactured with the paper cup base paper having the following configuration. Among the items evaluated for the paper cup, the suitability / non-suitability of the paper cup as the product was determined based on the printability and appearance (presence of penetration marks).
The evaluation items shown in Table 2 were measured according to the following criteria.
-Basis weight (g / m 2 ): JIS P 8124
・ Thickness (μm): JIS P 8118
Cobb water absorption (front / back, 60 minutes) (g / m 2 ): JIS 8140
Oil resistance: J.M. TAPPI UM-557
Printing suitability: Printing was performed with an RI tester (Rotay Ink. Taster) in accordance with JIS-5701K, and the ink deposition property was measured. ◎ (excellent), ○ (good), Δ (possible), × (impossible) was evaluated in four stages.
Appearance: The state of occurrence of permeation marks after top curl treatment was visually observed and evaluated in four stages: ◎ (excellent), ○ (good), △ (possible), and × (impossible).
-If either printability or appearance is x (impossible), the paper cup is not suitable.
As can be confirmed from Examples 1 to 3, when the additional oil-resistant layer 6 is provided as the oil-resistant layer or when the oil constituting the base material layer 2 is subjected to oil-proof treatment, the effect of preventing the occurrence of permeation marks is obtained. I can confirm that there is. Then, as shown in Example 1, it can be confirmed that the process of providing the new additional oil-resistant layer 6 and treating the base material layer 2 with the oil resistance to make the base material layer 2 itself the oil-resistant layer is extremely effective. And since the coating layer 4 is provided in the paper cup (paper cup base paper) of this invention, it becomes the outstanding printing appropriateness.
In Example 4, an oil-resistant agent is used for the coating layer 4 to form an oil-resistant layer. For this reason, the coating layer 4 in this case is slightly deteriorated in acceptability of the ink containing oil, so there is a concern about the occurrence of uneven printing, and although the printability is slightly inferior, the smoothness is improved, so that the final printing evaluation Becomes △. Therefore, it can be set as the paper cup (paper cup base paper) of the present invention.
On the other hand, since the comparative example 1 does not include an oil-resistant layer, the penetration mark described above is generated, and thus the appearance is evaluated as x.
As described above, a paper cup manufactured using the paper cup base paper of the present invention, which prevents penetration marks and has good printability and processability, can be provided as a paper cup with no appearance of penetration marks and a beautiful appearance. For example, even when colored pulp is disposed in the base material layer of the paper cup base paper, no permeation mark is generated, so that it can be provided as a beautiful paper cup.
Although the description of the embodiment has been completed above, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and it is needless to say that various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention.
