Description
多くの場合、血管は、主血管から相対的に離れた組織に血管形成する多数の側枝を有する。図11Aに示す一例では、主血管MVは、主血管MVから伸びる側枝SBを有する。主血管MVなどの血管は、複数の側枝を有してもよいが、説明のために単一側枝SBのみを示す。血管が疾患、例えば、主血管MV、側枝SBまたはこれら両方内の流れを妨げる動脈硬化症を発症する場合、閉塞が主血管MVとその側枝SBの1つとの分岐点で発生する可能性がある。図11Bは、複数の病変LS1、LS2、LS3が主血管MVと側枝SBとの分岐点に形成される場合の例を示す。この場合、LS1、LS2は、主血管MVと側枝との間に形成され、LS3は、主血管MV内で、側枝SBが主血管MVから伸びる場所のすぐ近くに形成される。
Claims (19)
- 埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドにより画定される管腔を有する、前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドを備える、拡張可能なステントシステムであって;
前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドが送達形状と配置形状を有し;
前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドが前記送達形状から前記配置形状に拡張可能であり;
前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドが、前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドの壁に沿って画定される少なくとも1つのオープンセルを備え;
前記少なくとも1つのオープンセルが、前記少なくとも1つのオープンセルに導入される拡張機器により第1の形状から第2の形状に拡大されることができ;
前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドが、259,000g/molから2,120,000g/molの分子量および20%から40%の結晶化度を特徴とする生体吸収性ポリマーから成るシステム。 - 前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドを前記送達形状から拡張させるバルーンカテーテルをも備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドが前記配置形状に自己拡張するよう構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのオープンセルを拡張する、前記少なくとも1つのオープンセルに配置される拡張機器をも備える、請求項1に記載のシステムであって、前記拡張機器が、前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドにより画定される前記管腔中に配置されるバルーンカテーテルであるシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのオープンセルが、膨張バルーンにより直径2.0mmから4.5mmに拡大されるよう構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 孔、フラップ、窓、溝、セル構造、およびこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択される形状を有する前記第2の形状に拡大されるよう前記オープンセルが構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドがさらに一つまたは複数のストラットを備え、前記一つまたは複数のストラットが亀裂、破壊、または破断を生じることなく2%から120%伸長されるよう構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。

- 前記生体吸収性ポリマーが、27%から35%の結晶化度によりさらに特徴付けられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記生体吸収性ポリマーが、結晶性領域および非晶質領域によりさらに特徴付けられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドがPLLAから製造され、前記オープンセルが、前記拡張機器により等方的に拡大されるよう構成される、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記結晶性領域が長手方向に配向している、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記結晶性領域が円周方向に配向している、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記生体吸収性ポリマーが、100ppmより少ない溶媒含量であることによりさらに特徴付けられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記生体吸収性ポリマーが、1000MPaから3000MPaの弾性係数によりさらに特徴付けられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドの破断時の加荷重が、100Nから300Nである、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドが、破壊形成または破断することなく、約1cmの曲率半径で180°まで湾曲するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドが、0.1Nから20Nの負荷下に置かれた場合20%の半径方向の変形を伴う半径方向強度により特徴づけられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記埋め込み可能なステントスキャフォールドが、外部負荷の下に配置されたとき塑性変形を生ずることなく5%から70%の間の直径の縮小を受けるよう構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
