Claims (3)
- 円盤状圧電要素を備えている第1の超音波振動子要素と、
円盤状圧電要素を備えている第2の超音波振動子要素と、
電源兼制御モジュールであって、携帯式でバッテリ作動型であり、前記第1及び前記第2の超音波振動子要素によって非侵襲的に患者の頭骨へ交番パルス様式で送信されることになる超音波エネルギーを生成する、電源兼制御モジュールと、を備え、
前記電源兼制御モジュールは、
前記超音波エネルギーを、患者の頭蓋へ非侵襲的に印可し、
前記超音波エネルギーによって、前記患者に投与された音響活性剤を励起して安定キャビテーションを生じさせ、前記第1及び前記第2の超音波振動子が交番で前記超音波エネルギーをパルス様式で前記患者の前記頭蓋へ印可するように、前記超音波エネルギーの印可を制御し、
前記第1の超音波振動子要素または前記第2の超音波振動子要素のいずれかが、前記超音波エネルギーを印加していない時に、前記第1の超音波振動子要素または前記第2の超音波振動子要素をそれぞれ使用して前記音響活性剤のキャビテーションの状態を検知し、検知された状態からキャビテーションの種類を決定し、
前記超音波エネルギーの印加が療法ウインドーに相応しいレベルを超過したことによって、前記キャビテーションの種類が慣性であった場合、前記キャビテーションが安定であると検知されるまで前記超音波エネルギーの出力パワーを減少させ、
前記キャビテーションの種類が安定の場合、安定状態が維持されるように、前記超音波エネルギーの出力パワーを維持することを、
自動的に実行されるように構成されており、
前記第1及び前記第2の超音波振動子要素の各々は、単回使用向けに設計されていて、使用されるまで滅菌性を維持するように包装されている、装置。 - 前記電源兼制御モジュールは、前記超音波エネルギーの生成のための回路構成を更に備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1及び前記第2の超音波振動子要素は、200kHzの周波数か又は200kHzを中心とする周波数の帯域のどちらかで作動する、請求項1に記載の装置。
