Description
電極端子が一側端部に形成されており、前記一側端部に熱融着余剰部が形成されている2つ以上の電池セルが側面配列された構造の電池セル配列体;
保護回路が形成されている保護回路基板(PCB)、前記PCBの保護回路に接続されている外部入出力端子、及び前記PCBが装着されるPCMケースを含んでおり、前記電池セルに電気的に接続された状態で電池セルの前記熱融着余剰部上に搭載されるPCM;
前記電池セルを固定できるように、電池セルの外周面にそれぞれ対応するフレーム状の電池セル装着部が2つ以上形成されているカートリッジフレーム;及び
前記PCMが接続された電池セルがカートリッジフレームに固定された状態で、これらを覆うように付着する外装ラベル;
を含む構造で構成されている。
(a)側面配列された2つ以上の電池セルの電極端子を、PCBに形成されている電極端子接続部に電気的に接続する過程;
(b)PCBをPCMケースに装着したPCMの外面に両面接着テープを付着する過程;
(c)電池セルの電極端子を折り曲げてPCMを電池セルの熱融着余剰部上に装着する過程;
(d)PCMが接続された電池セル配列体をカートリッジフレームに固定する過程;
(e)電池セルの熱融着余剰部上に装着されたPCMにホットメルティング(hot−melting)を行う過程;及び
(f)PCMが装着された電池セルがカートリッジフレームに固定された構造を、ラベルで覆う過程;
を含む方法で製造することができる。

Claims (18)
- 熱融着余剰部が一側端部に形成されており、前記一側端部に沿った第1方向と略垂直な第2方向に前記熱融着余剰部の端部から突出するように電極端子が形成されている2つ以上の電池セルが、前記第1方向に一側面が互いに隣接するように配列された構造の電池セル配列体と、
保護回路が形成されている保護回路基板(PCB)、前記PCBの保護回路に接続されている外部入出力端子、及び前記PCBが装着される保護回路モジュール(PCM)ケースを含んでおり、2つ以上の前記電池セルの前記電極端子に電気的に接続された状態で電池セルの前記熱融着余剰部上に搭載される保護回路モジュール(PCM)と、
前記電池セルを固定できるように、電池セルの外周面にそれぞれ対応するフレーム状の電池セル装着部が2つ以上形成されているカートリッジフレームと、
前記PCMが接続された電池セルがカートリッジフレームに固定された状態で、これらを覆うように付着する外装ラベルと、
を含み、
前記電極端子は、前記第1方向及び前記第2方向と略垂直な第3方向から見たとき、前記PCMとともに前記熱融着余剰部と重畳するように、折り返されていることを特徴とする、二次電池パック。 - 前記電池セルは、金属層と樹脂層を含むラミネートシートのケースに電極組立体を内蔵した後、外周面をシールした構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルは、互いに同一の構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルは、板状型の長方形構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- カートリッジフレームは、電池セル配列体の外周面に位置する外側熱融着余剰部が装着される外側フレーム、及び電池セル間の内側熱融着余剰部が装着される隔壁フレームを含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記カートリッジフレームの外側フレームには、外部デバイスに対する結合が容易なように、側面に外向きに突出した構造の2つ以上の締結部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記締結部は、外側フレームから外向きに突出した突起、及び前記突起に穿孔されている締結孔を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記締結部は、締結孔にボルトが挿入されて外部デバイスに結合されることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記PCMの外面には、熱融着余剰部との接着のための両面接着テープが付着していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルの熱融着余剰部上に装着されたPCMは、ホットメルティング(hot−melting)によって装着状態が固定されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セル配列体は2つの電池セルを含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セル配列体の電池セルは電気的に並列に接続されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記PCMケースは、外部入出力端子を除いてPCBを取り囲んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記外装ラベルの外面にはバーコードラベルが付着していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルはリチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれかに記載の電池パックを電源として含んでいることを特徴とする、デバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、携帯電話、携帯用コンピュータ、スマートフォン、スマートパッド、タブレットPC、及びネットブックから選択されることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載のデバイス。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれかに記載の二次電池パックを製造する方法であって、
(a)側面配列された2つ以上の電池セルの電極端子を、PCBに形成されている電極端子接続部に電気的に接続する過程と、
(b)PCBをPCMケースに装着したPCMの外面に両面接着テープを付着する過程と、
(c)電池セルの電極端子を折り曲げてPCMを電池セルの熱融着余剰部上に装着する過程と、
(d)PCMが接続された電池セル配列体をカートリッジフレームに固定する過程と、
(e)電池セルの熱融着余剰部上に装着されたPCMにホットメルティング(hot−melting)を行う過程と、
(f)PCMが装着された電池セルがカートリッジフレームに固定された構造を、ラベルで覆う過程と、
を含むことを特徴とする、二次電池パックの製造方法。
