特許文献1は、ハンドル軸部を折りたたむものであるが、構成部品点数が多くまた個々の部品は複雑形状となっており切削機械等が無ければ加工できないものである。
特許文献2は、後輪側デッキボードに接合してなる左右2枚の連結座と前輪側の接合架を左右向きの2本のピンで係合するものである。接合架の係合穴はボール盤で加工可能であるが、連結座の弧状溝は円弧状の長穴となっておりレーザーカッターあるいは打抜プレス等で加工せざるを得ず、相応の設備と技術が必要である。
特許文献3は、前輪側フレームの下端に接合された四角管状の管台に後輪側の車体管を挿入し、それらを貫通してボルトで固定するものである。前輪側の管台は上下面に対し左右面のみが後方に伸びた形状となっており、この加工はプレス成型品を溶接で閉じるか又は角パイプの上下面を切り落とすかの何れかで加工する必要がある。一方後輪側の車体管の穴は長穴となっておりこれもボール盤で加工することは出来ない。

図9は折りたたみ部を図8の構造とし、図6とは反対方向に後輪2が前輪1の前方となるように折りたたんだ状態である。この折りたたみ状態は前輪1と後輪2を接地させ転がして持ち運ぶことができる。
本願発明の構造にあっては、メインフレーム3を左右2本のフレームで構成し且つメインフレーム3本体で基台5を挟むように係合していることにより折りたたみ方向に制約がなくいずれの方向へも折りたたみ可能となっている。
