Description
(i) 最大の局所的な接触圧力を最小化するために十分な皮膚面積全域に力の負荷を分布させる周辺シール。好適なことに、使用者の皮膚に接触する表面沿いに、50mmHGを超える圧力がないが、40mmHgを超える圧力がないことが好適であり、30mmHgを超える圧力がないことが更に好適であり、25mmHgを超える圧力がないことが最も好適である。
(ii) 空気ポンプは、真空センサー又は圧力センサーと、ポンプのオン/オフサイクル及び/又は速度を制御するモーター制御回路構成と、連結されるマイクロ制御要素を備えている真空制御モジュールに作動可能に接続されている。真空制御モジュールは、不連続に空気ポンプを作動させて動作真空を維持するためにポンプを制御するようにプログラムされていれば最も好適である。治療器具は、この制御モジュールを装着可能に支持していれば好適である。
(iii) 制御モジュールは、キーパッド又はタッチスクリーンのようなデータ入力装置に作動可能に接続されている、及び/又はデータ転送のために外部装置への有線及び/又は無線接続が提供されている。
(iv) 空気ポンプ、駆動モーター、電池及び制御モジュールは、1つのハウジングの中で提供され、このハウジングは、治療器具によって装着可能に支持されれば好適である。
(v) 真空制御モジュールは、治療期間の少なくとも一部の期間の間、部分真空をより低い水準までサイクル化するようにプログラムされる。このサイクル化は、吸気/呼気サイクルと一致するように同期化され、その結果部分真空が吸気の間増進されることになれば好都合である。
(vi) 治療器具は、使用者の動作によって器具内部で引き起こされる部分真空の振幅を緩和するように構成される緩衝構成要素を備えている。或る実施形態では、ポンプ、駆動モーター、電池及び制御モジュールの1つ又はそれ以上を備えているハウジングは、使用中に異物との物理的な接触から緩衝構成要素を守るように、緩衝構成要素の上を覆っている。
(vii) 電池は、誘導的に充電される。
(viii) 治療器具は、機械的及び電子的構成要素によって作られる騒音を少なくとも部分的にマスキングするために音のマスキング及び/又は音の相殺電子工学要素と併せて使用される。それらの電子工学要素は治療器具の使用者によって及び/又は使用者の配偶者又は同伴者によって使用されてもよい。或る実施形態では、音のマスキング及び/又は音の相殺電子工学要素は治療器具によって装着可能に支持されているが、しかしながら、それらを分離して設けてもよい。
(ix) 治療器具は、1つ又はそれ以上の特性を有するセンサーを備えており、その結果は、器械を制御する制御要素によって使用される及び/又はその後のアクセス、表示又は記録場所から外部装置へのデータ転送のために記録される。

Claims (9)
- 気道の閉塞の緩和用器具であって、前記器具は:
(i)治療器具であって、前記治療器具は、周辺表面を備えることにより上気道を覆うのどの外部区域と嵌め合い、且つそれによって前記のどの外部区域を密封するように構成され、それによって、嵌め合わせの際に、前記治療器具が、前記治療器具の内部表面と前記のどとの間に位置し、且つ8.193532cm3(0.5in3)〜196.644768cm3(12in3)の密封された可変可能な容積を有する空間充填室を提供し、前記周辺表面は、使用者の肌との接触面に沿った圧力が60mmHgを越えないように、十分な皮膚領域に亘って力の負荷を分布させることを特徴とする、治療器具と、及び
(ii)前記治療器具の上に装着可能に支持されるハウジングであって、前記ハウジングは、
チャンバと直接嵌め合わされる空気ポンプであって、前記空気ポンプは、前記チャンバ内に、約7.62cmH2Oから約60.96cmH2Oまでの範囲の部分真空を維持するように構成される、空気ポンプと、
真空制御モジュールであって、前記真空制御モジュールは、不連続な作動で且つ可変可能なポンプ速度において制御するモーター制御回路へ制御可能に接続されたマイクロ制御要素を備え、
ここで、前記真空制御モジュールは、最初に高速のポンプ速度を提供し、前記部分真空を発生させる第1のポンプ特性と、減速したポンプ速度を提供し、前記チャンバへの空気の漏れを補う第2のポンプ特性と、を提供するように構成される、真空制御モジュールと、
前記真空制御モジュールと操作可能に接続される圧力センサであって、前記圧力センサは、前記チャンバの部分真空と周囲の大気圧との間の圧力差を測定し、且つ前記空気ポンプを活性化させるのに必要な真空の降下を検出するように構成される、圧力センサと、並びに
前記空気ポンプ及び真空制御モジュールへ電力を供給する電池と、を備えるハウジングと、
を備えることを特徴とする、気道の閉塞の緩和用器具。 - 前記周辺表面が、デュロメータで15〜30の範囲を有する材料で形成される、請求項1に記載の器具。
- 前記治療器具が、骨格状構造によって取り外し可能に支持される使い捨て可能な柔軟材料を備え、それによって部分真空の条件下で前記チャンバを維持するのに十分な支持を提供する、請求項1に記載の器具。
- 前記空気ポンプは容積式ポンプである、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
- 体位、呼吸サイクル、無呼吸事象、いびき事象、血圧、心拍数及び血中酸素飽和度からなる群から選択される1つ以上の特性を示す電子信号を生成するように構成された1つ以上のセンサを更に備えている、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
- 前記治療器具が、前記治療器具と外部装置との間のデータのインポート及び/又はエクスポート用データ伝送電子要素を更に備えている、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
- 使用時に使用者の皮膚と接触する前記周辺表面の接触面に接着剤を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
- 患者の上気道の開口を増大させる、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の治療器具の使用。
- 患者の睡眠時無呼吸症を治療する、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の治療器具の使用。
