Description
The present invention relates to a network system, a policy control apparatus, and a control method for controlling a policy used for network operation management.
3GPP(The Third Generation Partnership Project)で規定されているLTE(Long Term Evolution)ネットワークを含め、さまざまな理由でネットワークの輻輳が発生することがある。 Network congestion may occur for various reasons, including LTE (Long Term Evolution) networks defined by 3GPP (The Third Generation Partnership Project). For example, congestion occurs due to simultaneous access to the network from smartphones such as the New Year holidays. This may cause a failure of the network equipment, and may not be able to provide the service. There are the following methods and techniques as methods for avoiding and reducing network congestion for the problems caused by such congestion.
For example, there is a method of restricting a part of connected users in a time zone when congestion is expected. In addition, there is a method in which a congested network device rejects access from some smartphones during network congestion. In addition, there is a method of avoiding congestion by adding a facility to a telecommunications carrier, but it may not be cost effective.
Further, there is a
The policy server collects application history information including information on an applied period and information indicating an application result for each of the plurality of policy rules. The policy server analyzes the application history information and collects statistical information regarding the occurrence of a condition corresponding to the applied policy rule. The policy server changes the condition and action constituting each policy rule based on the statistical information.
Further, there is a
また、緊急通信サービス(たとえば、GETS(Government Emergency Telecommunications Service:政府の緊急通信サービス))をサポートするためのホーム加入者サーバと方法に関する従来技術3がある(たとえば、下記特許文献3を参照。)。
Further, there is
However, when communication congestion occurs between the server A that has received the connection request message from the terminal that is the connection request source and the server B that determines a policy to be applied to the terminal that is the connection request source from the server A, Waiting for a response from server B occurs. Therefore, in the server A, there is a problem that the connection request message stays, the buffer usage increases, and the load increases.
Further, in the
An object of the present invention is to reduce the stay of connection request messages due to waiting for a response.

A determination procedure for determining, a transmission procedure for transmitting the policy determined by the determination procedure to the certain connection request source via the gateway, and the second storage unit when the policy is determined by the determination procedure And an erasing procedure for erasing the certain connection request information stored in the second storage unit.
According to the representative embodiment of this invention, it is possible to reduce the stay of connection request messages due to waiting for a response. Problems, configurations, and effects other than those described above will become apparent from the description of the following embodiments.

<New connection sequence example 1>
FIG. 2 is a sequence diagram showing a first connection sequence example 1 between the terminal 110 and the
First, the terminal 110 transmits a connection request message RQ1 to the
When the
Here, it is assumed that a certain grade G is acquired. The
Upon receiving the connection response message RS1, the
The
The
Thereafter, the
Thereafter, when the
<New connection sequence example 2>
FIG. 3 is a sequence diagram showing a new connection sequence example 2 between the terminal 110 and the
The
This is because the
For this reason, the
Thereafter, as in FIG. 2, the

In FIG. 4, the connection request message RQ1 from the terminal 4 includes a user
Further, the connection request message RQ10 from the terminal 40 includes a user
The connection request message RQ100 from the terminal 400 includes a user
In FIG. 4, the message transmission between the
Assume that a failure has occurred in the
For this reason, the
Then, the

QCI is information that specifies a QoS class. The maximum bandwidth item specifies the maximum bandwidth of the entry. The guaranteed bandwidth item specifies the guaranteed bandwidth allowed for the entry. That is, the QoS specified by the entry indicates a service provided in a band between the maximum band and the guaranteed band. By referring to the QoS information management table 900, it is possible to specify what class the QoS specified by the QoS SID is and what range the bandwidth range defined by the guaranteed bandwidth and the maximum bandwidth is. it can.

The
The receiving
The
The
Here, the usage rate is the ratio of the used area of the new connection table 201 to the
When the
The
The
That is, even when a connection request message is received when no failure has occurred in the
The

<New connection processing procedure example>
FIG. 13 is a flowchart showing a new connection processing procedure example 1 of the
Next, the
When the grade is equal to or higher than the specific grade Gs (step S1305: YES), the
In step S1303, when the usage rate is less than α% (step S1303: No), the
Specifically, for example, since the connection response message includes a user identifier, a service identifier, and a grade, the
In step S1304, if there is no grade (step S1304: No), or if it is less than a specific grade Gs in step S1305 (step S1305: No), the process proceeds to step S1310.
As described above, when the usage rate is α% or more, the

FIG. 14 is a flowchart showing a new connection processing procedure example 2 of the
First, the
When it is α% or more (step S1401: Yes), the
On the other hand, when there is an unselected entry (step S1402: Yes), the
On the other hand, when there is a grade (step S1404: Yes), the
As described above, in the congestion state, it is possible to preferentially connect to a user of a specific grade Gs or higher, reduce the stagnation of entries in the new connection table 201, and reduce the congestion of communication with the
As described above, according to the embodiment of the present invention, when the usage rate of the new connection table 201 exceeds the threshold value, the
Further, when a failure has occurred in the
If the user's grade is equal to or higher than a specific grade, the
In this way, even if some network devices are congested, new connection processing to some users can be continued, and service impact on users can be reduced. In addition, for some users who have delayed new connection processing, new connection processing can be preferentially continued when congestion of some network devices is detected, reducing service impact on users. Can be made. Also, by skipping a part of the call processing sequence during congestion, the amount of messages exchanged between devices can be reduced. Thereby, it is possible to alleviate the congestion state and avoid the secondary congestion state.
