Description
The present invention relates to a sheet conveying apparatus including a plurality of types of drive motors for driving a conveying roller, an image reading apparatus including the sheet conveying apparatus, and an image forming apparatus including the sheet conveying apparatus.
An image reading apparatus that reads an image on a sheet or an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a sheet includes a sheet conveying apparatus that conveys the sheet. The sheet conveying apparatus is equipped with a plurality of types of motors as the driving source of the conveying roller according to the realization of cost reduction and the specifications required at the place where the conveying roller is used. For example, a stepping motor is applied to a driving source of a conveyance roller used in a place where high positioning accuracy is required. In addition, a high torque motor such as a DC motor or an induction motor is applied as a driving source of a conveyance roller used in a place where high positioning accuracy is not required or a place where a high load is applied. The drive transmission path between the high torque motor and the conveyance roller is configured to be connectable by a clutch, and the driving force of the high torque motor is transmitted to the conveyance roller by controlling the clutch.
In such a sheet conveying apparatus, a conveying roller driven by a high torque motor and a clutch is provided upstream of the sheet conveying path, and a conveying roller driven by a stepping motor is provided downstream of the sheet conveying path. . In this configuration, if the clutch connection timing and the stepping motor drive start timing are deviated, a problem occurs when the sheet is conveyed. Specifically, if the clutch connection timing is too early than the driving start timing of the stepping motor, the sheet hits the downstream conveyance roller and the sheet bends, and the contact sound is heard when the bent sheet hits the conveyance guide surface. Occurs. On the other hand, if the clutch connection timing is too late than the stepping motor drive start timing, the sheet cannot be transported by the downstream transport roller alone, and a high load is applied to the stepping motor, causing a problem of stepping out. . In addition, the sheet may be pulled and damaged.
In general, because clutch manufacturing and variation over time are large, it is not possible to uniformly determine clutch connection timing and stepping motor drive start timing at the design and manufacturing stages. It is necessary to adjust to.
For this reason, in a general sheet conveying apparatus, the clutch connection timing and the stepping motor drive start timing are aligned after the product is manufactured. In Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2, the step-out motor is detected by detecting the output voltage or output current of the stepping motor, increasing the supply current amount based on the detection result, and increasing the torque of the stepping motor. A stepping motor control device and a media transport control device to prevent are described.
However, timing adjustment after product manufacture can adjust timing deviation due to manufacturing variation, but timing adjustment due to secular change cannot be adjusted. Further, in the methods disclosed in Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2, it is possible to prevent the stepping motor on the downstream side from stepping out, but it is possible to adjust the clutch connection timing and the driving start timing of the stepping motor. Can not.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and the object of the present invention is to convey the drive start timing of the second motor that drives the conveyance roller on the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the conveyance path. An object of the present invention is to provide a sheet conveying apparatus, an image reading apparatus, and an image forming apparatus capable of adjusting the connection timing of the connecting means of the first conveying roller on the upstream side in the conveying direction of the path.

The
As shown in FIG. 2, the

<Driving start timing of
Next, the drive start timing of the

The
In this embodiment, when the voltage level of the drive signal RefIn is a voltage level corresponding to a drive torque required when the stepping
The voltage level of the drive signal RefIn is switched by the
Further, during the period in which the drive signal RefIn is switched (period in which the switching timing in FIG. 6 is Low), the
In the detection mode, since no current is supplied to the

The
As shown in FIG. 6, the current supplied to the
The
The
The set value electromotive force Vrc is a voltage value that is higher by one or more steps than the detection-time electromotive force Vrd. In the present embodiment, as specific examples of the set value electromotive force Vrc and the detection-time electromotive force Vrd, a plurality of threshold values determined in advance as a first voltage value Vs, a voltage value V1, a voltage value V2, and The voltage value V3 is used. Among these threshold values, the smallest threshold value is the first voltage value Vs, which is set to a larger voltage value in the order of the voltage value V1, the voltage value V2, and the voltage value V3. Each threshold value (each voltage value) is set so that the voltage difference becomes equal. In the following, for convenience of explanation, changing from a low threshold value to the next higher threshold value is referred to as raising one step, and changing from a higher threshold value to the next lower threshold value is referred to as lowering one step. That is, increasing one step means changing the threshold value from, for example, the first voltage value Vs to the voltage value V1. To lower by one step means to change the threshold value from the voltage value V3 to the voltage value V2, for example.

(Step S21)
First, in step S21, the
As described above, the
(Step S22)
Next, in step S22, the

In this manner, the amount of current supplied to the

Next, referring to FIG. 6, the

The connection timing adjustment process is an adjustment method in which the load is reduced (the delay time is increased) from the state in which the paper S is pulled.
