Description

The present invention relates to an electric wire cover that encloses an electric wire led out from a connector housing while facing an intended direction.

A connector having a cover for fixing a corrugated tube to a connector housing is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
As shown in FIG. 5, in this type of connector 501, three electric wires 505 are drawn from a female housing (connector housing) 503, and the drawn electric wires 505 are surrounded by a corrugated tube 507. The corrugated tube 507 is fixed to the female housing 503 by a cover 509. The cover 509 is configured by a cover main body 511 that opens upward and can accommodate the corrugated tube 507 from the open portion, and a lid portion 513 that can close the open portion of the cover main body 511. Of the cover main body 511, the corrugated side holding portion 515 in which the corrugated tube 507 is accommodated is formed to a depth that accommodates the corrugated tube 507 in the entire circumference (half or more circumferences).

When the lid portion 513 is held in a properly closed state with respect to the cover body 511, the open portion of the corrugated side holding portion 515 is closed by the lid portion 513 as shown in FIG. 6. At the same time, the locking portion 517 of the cover main body 511 and the lid portion 513 is locked to the groove portion (outer peripheral groove) 519 of the corrugated tube 507, so that the corrugated tube 507 is firmly prevented from coming off in the front-rear direction and the radial direction. Retained.

However, in the conventional cover 509, the arc radius of the locking portion 517 is determined in accordance with the corrugated tube 507 having the maximum applicable diameter. For this reason, when the corrugated tube 507 having the maximum diameter is used, the cover 509 can be assembled without rattling. However, when the corrugated tube having a small diameter is used, a clearance is generated between the cover 509 and the corrugated tube 507. Then, when vibration or the like is applied, the corrugated tube moves as much as the clearance, and the electric wire 505 also moves simultaneously. Further, the movement of the electric wire 505 causes the movement of the terminal in the connector housing, which accelerates the contact wear of the terminal, resulting in a decrease in contact reliability of the contact portion.

The present invention has been made in view of the above situation, and its purpose is to be able to fix a plurality of types of corrugated tubes having different diameters without rattling, and to induce movement of the electric wire starting from the rattling of the corrugated tubes. It is to provide an electric wire cover that does not have any.

The above object of the present invention is achieved by the following configuration.
A cover body that is attached to the connector housing and surrounds the electric wire led out from the connector housing in a desired direction;
A semi-cylindrical corrugated tube fixing portion to which the end portions of a plurality of types of corrugated tubes having different diameters that are integrally formed with the cover main body and through which the electric wires are inserted are respectively fixed;
A first engagement projection which engages the circumferential groove of the corrugated tube of small diameter of which is projected along a circumferential direction Te in the inner circumferential center of the corrugated tube fixing portion,
Engages the outer peripheral groove of the corrugated tube of the inner large diameter is projected along the circumferential direction Te in the inner circumferential direction end sides of the corrugated tube fixing portion is larger arc diameter than the first engaging protrusion At least two pairs of second engaging protrusions;
A bundling member for tightening and fixing the corrugated tube on the inner peripheral side of the corrugated tube fixing portion,
The first engagement ridge and the second engagement ridge are projected along the same inner circumferential direction of the corrugated tube fixing portion, and the axes thereof at different positions in the axial direction of the corrugated tube. An electric wire cover , which is discretely provided in parallel in each direction .

According to the wire cover having the configuration of (1) above, the arc diameter of the first engaging protrusion at the corrugated tube fixing portion is substantially the same as the outer diameter of the small corrugated tube. When the member is fastened and fixed to the inner peripheral side of the corrugated tube fixing portion, the first engaging protrusion engages along the outer peripheral groove of the corrugated tube. There is no clearance between the outer peripheral groove of the corrugated tube and the engaging first engaging protrusion, and the small-diameter corrugated tube does not move in the axial direction and the radial direction.
Further, since the arc diameter of the second engaging protrusion at the corrugated tube fixing portion is substantially the same as the outer diameter of the large corrugated tube, the large diameter corrugated tube is connected to the inside of the corrugated tube fixing portion by the binding member. When tightened and fixed to the peripheral side, the second engaging protrusion engages along the outer peripheral groove of the corrugated tube. There is no clearance between the outer peripheral groove of the corrugated tube and the second engaging protrusion, and the large-diameter corrugated tube does not move in the axial direction and the radial direction.
Therefore, a plurality of types of corrugated tubes having different diameters can be fixed to the corrugated tube fixing portion without rattling.

Moreover, according to the electric wire cover of the structure of said (1) , since a 1st engagement protrusion and a 2nd engagement protrusion are formed on the same plane orthogonal to the axis line of the said corrugated tube, a corrugated tube The axial dimension of the fixed part can be made compact.

Further , according to the wire cover having the configuration of (1) , the first engagement protrusion or the second engagement protrusion is engaged with the outer peripheral groove at a plurality of locations along the axis of the small-diameter or large-diameter corrugated tube. Therefore, the engagement allowance can be increased as compared with the case of engaging at one place, and the corrugated tube can be made difficult to come off. In particular, when two or more pairs of second engaging ridges are provided in a limited inner circumferential direction region in the semi-cylindrical corrugated tube fixing portion, the inner circumferential length of each engaging ridge is reduced. Even when the engagement margin is shortened and the engagement margin is reduced, the engagement margin can be increased by engaging the outer peripheral groove at a plurality of locations along the axis of the corrugated tube.

According to the electric wire cover according to the present invention, a plurality of types of corrugated tubes having different diameters can be fixed without rattling, and the movement of the electric wire starting from the rattling of the corrugated tube is not induced.

The present invention has been briefly described above.
Embodiments according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIG. 3, the wire cover 11 according to the present embodiment can be applied to, for example, a low insertion force connector 15 including a lever 13 for reducing the insertion force with the mating connector 50.

The low insertion force connector 15 accommodates a plurality of terminals (not shown) in the connector housing 17. An electric wire 19 is connected to each terminal, and the electric wire 19 is led out from the housing rear portion 21 on the side opposite to the fitting side with the mating connector 50. The electric wire cover 11 is attached to the rear portion 21 of the housing by engaging the engaging portion 23, and surrounds the electric wire 19 in the intended direction.

In this embodiment, the several electric wire 19 derived | led-out from the housing rear part 21 is covered with the electric wire cover 11 in the state bent in the direction orthogonal to a connector fitting direction (up-down direction of FIG. 3). That is, the electric wire cover 11 has the electric wire accommodation path 25 bent in an L shape (see FIG. 1).

As shown in FIG. 1, the wire cover 11 of the present embodiment includes a cover main body 27 that is attached to the connector housing 17 and surrounds the electric wire 19 led out from the connector housing 17 while facing the target direction. A semi-cylindrical corrugated tube fixing portion 31 to which ends of plural types (two types in this embodiment) of corrugated tubes 47 and 51 having different diameters through which the electric wire 19 is inserted are fixed, and corrugated tube fixing A binding band 53 (see FIG. 3) for tightly fixing the small-diameter corrugated tube 47 or the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 to the inner peripheral side of the portion 31 is provided.

The cover main body 27 accommodates the proximal end side electric wire accommodating portion 29 that accommodates the electric wire 19 immediately after being led out from the housing rear portion 21 and the electric wire 19 that is connected to the proximal end side electric wire accommodating portion 29 and bent in the orthogonal direction. And a distal end side electric wire housing portion 33.
The corrugated tube fixing portion 31 is formed in a semi-cylindrical shape in which the distal end side and the side facing the connector housing 17 are opened. A pair of parallel projecting walls 35 for positioning the binding band 53 are formed on the outer periphery of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31.

As shown in FIG. 2, a first engagement protrusion 45 that engages with the outer peripheral groove 39 of the small-diameter corrugated tube 47 is provided at the center in the inner peripheral direction of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31. In addition, a pair of second engagement protrusions 49 that project into the outer peripheral groove 39 of the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 protrude from both ends in the inner peripheral direction of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31. The first engagement protrusion 45 and the second engagement protrusion 49 in the present embodiment are provided so as to protrude along the same inner peripheral direction of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31.

The plurality of electric wires 19 passing through the inside of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31 are collectively inserted into the corrugated tube 47 or 51. That is, the plurality of electric wires 19 are protected by the corrugated tube 47 or 51.
These corrugated tubes 47 and 51 are made of synthetic resin, have a bellows shape in which circumferential grooves 39 and ridges 41 are alternately arranged on the outer circumference, and have flexibility, and the axis 43 Can be bent and deformed. By surrounding the wire 19 led out from the housing rear portion 21 by the corrugated tube 47 or 51, the wire 19 is protected without being exposed to the outside.

As shown in FIG. 4A, the inner peripheral edge of the first engaging protrusion 45 having an arc diameter R1 substantially the same as the outer diameter of the outer peripheral groove 39 of the small-diameter corrugated tube 47 is a small-diameter corrugated tube. It is possible to engage along the outer circumferential groove 39 of 47.
Further, as shown in FIG. 4B, a pair of second members having an arc diameter R2 that is substantially the same as the outer diameter of the outer peripheral groove 39 of the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 and larger than the first engaging protrusion 45. The inner peripheral edge of the mating protrusion 49 can be engaged along the outer peripheral groove 39 of the large-diameter corrugated tube 51.

Band insertion holes 54 through which the binding band 53 is passed are formed at both ends in the outer peripheral direction of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31. The binding band 53 inserted through the band insertion hole 54 fastens and fixes the corrugated tube 37 to the inner peripheral side of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31.
The binding band 53 is a binding member having a buckle portion 57 provided with a locking piece at the base end of a flexible binding band 55 made of synthetic resin. A plurality of locking grooves that are locked to the locking pieces are formed in the longitudinal direction on the surface of the binding band 55. The binding band 53 passes through the through hole of the buckle portion 57 so that the tip of the binding band 55 is passed through, so that removal is restricted by the locking piece, and a plurality of members (corrugated tube fixing portion 31, corrugated tube 47 or 51 arranged in the loop). ) Can be bundled.

Next, the operation of the wire cover 11 having the above configuration will be described.
In the electric wire cover 11 having the above configuration, the corrugated tube 47 or 51 is fixed inside the corrugated tube fixing portion 31 by the binding band 53 shown in FIG.
First, when the small-diameter corrugated tube 47 is fastened and fixed to the inner peripheral side of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31 by the binding band 53, the arc diameter R1 of the first engaging protrusion 45 in the corrugated tube fixing portion 31 is small. Since the outer diameter of the outer peripheral groove 39 of the corrugated tube 47 is substantially the same diameter, the first engaging protrusion 45 is engaged along the outer peripheral groove 39 of the small corrugated tube 47 (FIG. 4A). reference). Therefore, no clearance is generated between the outer peripheral groove 39 of the small diameter corrugated tube 47 and the first engaging protrusion 45, and the small diameter corrugated tube 47 does not move in the axial direction and the radial direction.

Further, when the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 is fastened and fixed to the inner peripheral side of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31 by the binding band 53, the arc diameter R2 of the second engaging protrusion 49 in the corrugated tube fixing portion 31 is Since the outer diameter of the outer peripheral groove 39 of the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 is substantially the same diameter, the second engaging protrusion 49 engages along the outer peripheral groove 39 of the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 (FIG. 4). (See (b)). Therefore, no clearance is generated between the outer peripheral groove 39 of the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 and the second engaging protrusion 49, and the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 does not move in the axial direction and the radial direction.

Therefore, the corrugated tube fixing portion 31 can fix the large-diameter corrugated tube 51 and the small-diameter corrugated tube 47 having two different diameters without rattling.
As a result, the wire cover 11 according to the present embodiment does not induce the movement of the wire 19 starting from the rattling of the corrugated tubes 47 and 51, and ensures the contact reliability of the terminal contact portion in the connector housing 17. it can.

In the electric wire cover 11 of the present embodiment described above, the first engagement protrusion 45 and the second engagement protrusion 49 are formed on the same plane orthogonal to the axis 43 of the corrugated tubes 47 and 51. Thus, the axial dimension of the corrugated tube fixing portion 31 can be made compact. Of course, the 1st engagement protrusion 45 and the 2nd engagement protrusion 49 in this invention can also be offset and provided in the direction along the axis line 43 of the corrugated tubes 47 and 51, respectively.

In addition, by providing a plurality of first engagement ridges and second engagement ridges in parallel with each other in the direction along the axis of the corrugated tube, the first engagement ridge or the second engagement ridge is The outer peripheral groove can be engaged with each other at a plurality of locations along the axis of the corrugated tube having a small diameter or a large diameter. Therefore, the engagement allowance can be increased and the corrugated tube can be made difficult to come off as compared with the case of engaging with the outer peripheral groove at one place.

For example, when two or more pairs of second engaging protrusions are projected in a limited inner circumferential direction region in the semi-cylindrical corrugated tube fixing portion, and three or more types of corrugated tubes having different diameters can be fixed. Since the length in the inner circumferential direction of each engagement protrusion is shortened and the engagement allowance is reduced, the first engagement protrusion and the second engagement protrusion are along the axis of the corrugated tube as described above. It is desirable to provide a plurality in parallel with each direction.

In addition, the electric wire cover of this invention is not limited to embodiment mentioned above, A deformation | transformation, improvement, etc. are possible suitably. In addition, the material, shape, dimensions, number, arrangement location, and the like of each component in the above-described embodiment are arbitrary and are not limited as long as the present invention can be achieved.
For example, in the above embodiment, the synthetic resin binding band 53 is used as the binding member. However, as long as the corrugated tube can be fastened and fixed to the corrugated tube fixing portion, a steel band made of sheet metal, an adhesive tape, or the like is known. It goes without saying that various binding members of the above can be used.
