Claims (19)
- 70psi(482.6kpa)より大きい内圧用に等級された完全開口式飲料用缶であって、
缶本体と、
5000シリーズアルミ合金から形成され、前記缶本体に継ぎ合わされ、中央パネルと、前記中央パネル内に形成された主スコアとを含むエンドと、
リベット中心を定めるリベットと、
前記リベットによって前記中央パネルに固定され、先端及び後端を有し、前記先端から前記後端へ前記リベット中心を通って延びる主基準線と、前記主基準線に直角で前記リベット中心を通って延びる横基準線とを画定するタブと、
前記中央パネル内に形成されたガス抜き用スコアであって、前記横基準線と平行に延びるとともに、前記タブの前記先端に向かって0と0.050インチ(0mmから1.27mm)の間の第1の距離で前記横基準線の前方に配置された一対の横方向部分、及び前記横方向部分から延びる一対の側部であって、各側部が前記主基準線に向かって内方に延びるとともに、前記タブの前記後端に向かって0.15と0.4インチ(3.81mmから10.16mm)の間の第2の距離で前記横基準線に対して後方に延び、前記側部が前記主基準線に対して−30°と30°の間の角度で配向される、一対の側部を含む、ガス抜き用スコアと、
を含む、
完全開口式飲料用缶。 - 前記ガス抜き用スコアは、実質的に均一のスコア残余を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の完全開口式飲料用缶。
- 前記横方向部分は、前記中央部分に対して前方に延びることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の完全開口式飲料用缶。
- 前記横方向部分は、前記リベットの中心線まで、又はこれより前方に延びることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の完全開口式飲料用缶。
- 前記中央部分における前記平均的なガス抜き用スコア残余は、少なくとも前記横方向部分における前記平均的なガス抜き用スコアと同じ厚さであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の完全開口式飲料用缶。
- 前記可動パネルは、完全開口式エンド上の取り外し可能パネルであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の完全開口式飲料用缶。
- 完全開口式飲料用エンドであって、
中央パネルと、
前記中央パネルを囲む皿穴と、
前記中央パネル内に形成され、取り外し可能な開口パネルを定めるように前記皿穴の近傍に配置された主スコアと、
リベット中心を定めるリベットと、
前記リベットによって前記中央パネルに固定され、先端及び後端を有し、前記先端から前記後端へ前記リベット中心を通って延びる主基準線と、前記主基準線に直角で前記リベット中心を通って延びる横基準線とを画定するタブと、
前記中央パネル内に形成されたガス抜き用スコアであって、前記横基準線と平行に延びるとともに、前記タブの前記先端に向かって0と0.050インチ(0mmから1.27mm)の間の第1の距離で前記横基準線の前方に配置された一対の横方向部分を含み、前記ガス抜き用スコアは、前記横方向部分から延びる一対の側部を更に含み、各側部は、前記主基準線に向かって内方に延びるとともに、前記タブの前記後端に向かって0.15と0.4インチ(3.81mmから10.16mm)の間の第2の距離で前記横基準線に対して後方に延び、前記側部は、前記主基準線に対して−30°と30°の間の角度で配向され、それにより、前記エンドは、5000シリーズアルミ合金から形成されるとともに、70psi(482.6kpa)よりも大きい圧力がかけられた製品に使用されるようになっており、開口時に前記ガス抜き用スコアは、まず分断して、前記中央パネルの外面と内面との間の圧力差を制御し、それによっ前記主スコアが制御され且つ信頼性のある方法で破れるのを可能にする、ガス抜き用スコアと、を含む、

- 前記中央部分における前記平均的なガス抜き用スコア残余は、少なくとも前記横方向部分における前記平均的なガス抜き用スコアと同じ厚さであることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の完全開口式飲料用エンド。
- 請求項7に記載の完全開口式飲料用エンドに上に非拘束型ガス抜き用スコアを形成するためのパンチ・ツール。
- 前記パンチ面は、前記中央部分、前記横方向部分、及び前記側部の少なくとも大部分を通ってほぼ均一な寸法だけ前記基部面から延びることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載のパンチ・ツール。
- 請求項1に記載の完全開口式飲料用缶をガス抜きする方法であって、
前記缶を位置決めするステップと、
前記フラップ・スコアの破裂を開始し、缶の内圧は、スコアの伝搬が拘束されない前記フラップ・スコアの破裂を伝播し、かつ、前記フラップを変位させるのを可能にし、これにより前記内圧のガス抜きを可能にするステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記開始するステップは、前記フラップ・スコアが、ヒンジの周りに上方にピボット運動するステップを含むことを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記開始するステップは、前記スコア操作時のリベットの撓みによって始められることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。
