現在符号化単位で可能な最小変換単位サイズ‘CurrMinTuSize’と比較して、変換単位分割情報が0である場合の変換単位サイズである‘RootTuSize’は、システム上採択可能な最大変換単位サイズを表す。すなわち、関係式(1)によれば、‘RootTuSize/(2^MaxTransformSizeIndex)’は、変換単位分割情報が0である場合の変換単位サイズである‘RootTuSize’を、最大変換単位分割情報に相応する回数ほど分割した変換単位サイズであり、‘MinTransformSize’は最小変換単位サイズであるため、これらのうち小さな値が、現在現在符号化単位で可能な最小変換単位サイズ‘CurrMinTuSize’でありうる。

すなわち、現在予測モードがインターモードならば、変換単位分割情報が0である場合の変換単位サイズである‘RootTuSize’は、最大変換単位サイズ及び現在予測単位サイズのうち小さな値に設定される。

Claims (5)
- ビットストリームから獲得された分割情報を用いて一つ以上の符号化単位を決定する段階と、
前記一つ以上の符号化単位のうち現在符号化単位に含まれた現在レベルの変換単位の分割いかんを示す変換単位分割情報を前記ビットストリームから獲得する段階と、
前記変換単位分割情報が前記現在レベルの変換単位の分割を示すと、前記現在レベルの変換単位を下位レベルの変換単位で分割する段階と、
前記変換単位分割情報が前記現在レベルの変換単位の非分割を示すと、前記現在レベルの変換単位についてのパターン情報を獲得する段階とを含み、
前記パターン情報は、前記現在レベルの変換単位が0でない変換係数を含むか否かを示すことを特徴とするビデオ復号化方法。 - 前記現在レベルの変換単位は前記現在符号化単位内に含まれ、
前記現在レベルの変換単位のサイズは前記符号化単位のサイズと等しいか小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ復号化方法。 - 前記現在レベルの変換単位は前記現在符号化単位の高さ及び幅を分割して決定されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のビデオ復号化方法。
- 前記現在符号化単位は符号化されたビデオのピクチャーが符号化されたデータ単位であり、前記現在レベルの変換単位は前記現在符号化単位のデータが変換されたデータ単位であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ復号化方法。
- 現在符号化単位に含まれた現在レベルの変換単位の分割いかんを示す変換単位分割情報をビットストリームから獲得する抽出部と、
前記変換単位分割情報が前記現在レベルの変換単位の分割を示すと、前記現在レベルの変換単位を下位レベルの変換単位で分割する復号化部とを備え、
前記抽出部は、前記変換単位分割情報が前記現在レベルの変換単位の非分割を示すと、前記現在レベルの変換単位についてのパターン情報を抽出し、
前記パターン情報は前記現在レベルの変換単位が0でない変換係数を含むか否かを示すことを特徴とするビデオ復号化装置。
