第1の発明は、車両のキャビンのアウタパネルとインナパネルとの間にリンフォースが介在された部位に取り付けた通気ダクトを介して車室内側と車室外側を通気する構造であって、アウタパネルとインナパネルとの間をリンフォースで車室外側と車室内側の2室に区画し、車室外側の区画においてアウタパネルに通気ダクトを取り付け、この通気ダクトよりも下方かつインナパネルに設けた車室内側の通気口よりも下方において、リンフォースに車室外側の区画と車室内側の区画を連通する排気口を設けた通気構造である。

また、車室外側の区画と車室内側の区画を連通する排気口が、車室内側の通気口よりも下方に設けられているので、通気ダクトを経て車室外側の区画内に滴下した雨水等の水分に対してリンフォースを防水カバーとして機能させることができ、この点でも従来の内部カバーを省略して当該通気ダクトの部品点数を削減し、またコストの低減を図ることができる。
第2の発明は、第1の発明において、車室内側の区画内にシートベルトリトラクタが内装されており、このシートベルトリトラクタよりも下方に排気口を設けた通気構造である。
第2の発明によれば、シートベルトリトラクタに対する高い防水性能を持たせることができる。
第3の発明は、第1又は第2の発明において、アウタパネルとインナパネルとのヘミング部の下端部に、インナパネルを車室内側に屈曲させてアウタパネルとの間に隙間を設けてこの隙間を、通気ダクトを経て車室外側の区画内に滴下した雨水等の水分を排水する排水口として機能させる構成とした通気構造である。

次に、本発明の実施形態を図1〜図5に基づいて説明する。図1は、ピックアップとも称される貨物車両のキャビン1(乗員室)の右後部を構成する右側(運転席側)のリヤクォータパネル2が示されている。図3及び図4に示すようにこのリヤクォータパネル2は、アウタパネル10とインナパネル11との間にリンフォース12を介在させた断面閉じ構造を備えている。アウタパネル10とインナパネル11はその周縁部がヘミング加工されて相互に一体化されている。アウタパネル10とインナパネル11間に形成される上下に長い空間部は、リンフォース12によって車室外側と車室内側に区画されている。このリヤクォータパネル2には、ドア7の特に閉じ操作を楽に行うために車室内の空気を外部へ逃がすための通気構造を備えている。本実施形態の通気構造では、右側のリヤクォータパネル2に取り付けた通気ダクト15と、車室内の通気口との間の通気経路が従来とは異なっている。

以上説明した右側の通気構造は、左側のリヤクォータパネルについても左右対称に構成されており、左側のドア7についても小さな操作力で楽に開閉操作(特に、閉じ操作)できるようになっている。

以上のように構成した本実施形態の通気構造によれば、リヤクォータパネル2の内部であってアウタパネル10とインナパネル11との間の空間部がリンフォース12で区画されており、通気ダクト15は車室外側の区画13に取り付けられ、車室内側の区画14に通気口11aが設けられている。このことから、車室外側の区画13に取り付けられた通気ダクト15は、従来のように通気口11aが設けられた車室内側の区画14に直接繋がっているのではなく、排気口12aを経て間接的に車室内側の区画14に繋がった構成となっており、車両走行時等におけるダクト本体15bのバタフライのばたつき音等の騒音はリンフォース12で遮音されて直接車室内へは伝わらないようになっている。

また、排水口17については、例示した形態ではなく別途排水パイプ等を用いる構成としてもよい。
さらに、例示した通気構造は、ピックアップと称される貨物車両に限らず、セダン形あるいはワンボックス形の乗用車等その他の形態の車両に広く適用することができる。
