Description
この塗装装置では回転軸の先端からカップ状霧化ヘッドに供給された塗料は回転に伴う遠心力によってカップ状霧化ヘッドの内側面に沿って径方向外側に広がり、周縁部から微細な塗料粒子として飛び出し、シェービングエアによって車体表面などに付着せしめられる。
特に塗料に含まれる顔料の硬度が高い場合には、筋状に塗料が移動する部分の摩耗が他の部分よりも速く進行し、カップ状霧化ヘッドの寿命が短くなる問題も生じる。更に、摩耗粉が塗料に混入して塗装不良を招く原因にもなる。
また、塗料の成分による質量の偏りの影響、特に中塗り、ベースコートなどは顔料が多く含まれているため不均一になりやすい。
したがって、特許文献2においても従来と同様の課題が残っている。
回転霧化式塗装装置はエアモータ1の外側にカバー2が設けられ、またエアモータ1に形成した貫通孔内に軸受け3を介して回転軸1aを設け、この回転軸1aの内側にフィードチューブ4を配置している。
先ず、塗料については、図4に示すように、ノズル5の先端の中央に開口する塗料流路6からポンプ圧によって霧化空間9に噴出する。
Claims (3)
- 塗料供給用の回転軸の先端にカップ状霧化ヘッドを取付けた回転霧化式塗装装置において、前記カップ状霧化ヘッドの内側面には回転中心を中心とした円に沿って等間隔で塗料吐出通路の開口が形成され、この開口の外側には開口から吐出した塗料が接触しないで飛び越える塗料離間部が形成され、更に前記塗料吐出通路は前記カップ状霧化ヘッドの内側面に設けた凸部内に形成されていることを特徴とする回転霧化式塗装装置。
- 請求項1に記載の回転霧化式塗装装置において、前記塗料離間部よりも径方向内方に寄った位置に洗浄液吐出口が形成されていることを特徴とする回転霧化式塗装装置。
- 塗料供給用の回転軸の先端にカップ状霧化ヘッドを取付け、回転軸から供給された塗料を遠心力によってカップ状霧化ヘッド内側面に沿って径方向外側に広げ、カップ状霧化ヘッドの外周から塗料を霧化した状態で飛散させるようにした塗布方法において、前記カップ状霧化ヘッド内側面には回転中心を中心とした円に沿って等間隔で塗料吐出通路の開口が形成され、また前記塗料吐出通路は前記カップ状霧化ヘッドの内側面に設けた凸部内に形成され、更にカップ状霧化ヘッド内側面で前記塗料吐出通路の開口よりも外側には遠心力によって径方向外方に移動する塗料が飛び越える塗料離間部が設けられ、この塗料離間部を飛び越えた塗料を前記カップ状霧化ヘッドの内側面に衝突させることで塗料を拡散させることを特徴とする回転霧化式塗装方法。
