Description
Claims (9)
- 異種ネットワークを介したコンテンツ配信のクリフ効果を軽減するための送信機であって、
1つのコンテンツ単位を受信し、その複数の量子化表現を生成するように構成されたジョイントエンコーダと、
前記ジョイントエンコーダに関連付けられており、前記コンテンツ単位を表す符号化されていない記号から、前記符号化されていない記号の複数の部分集合を選択するように構成された消去量子化器とを備え、
前記複数の量子化表現と、前記符号化されていない記号の前記複数の部分集合とが、前記コンテンツ単位の複数のハイブリッド記述として複数のパケットにまとめられている、
送信機。 - 前記消去量子化器が、連続する符号化されていない記号の複数の順序変更されたブロックを選択し、残りの符号化されていない記号を消去するようにさらに構成された、請求項1に記載の送信機。
- 前記ジョイントエンコーダが、前記コンテンツ単位の単一の量子化表現を生成するように構成されたエンコーダの複数のインスタンスを含む、請求項1に記載の送信機。
- 前記複数の量子化表現が、レートに関して互いに異なる、請求項1に記載の送信機。
- 前記符号化されていない記号の前記複数の部分集合が互いに異なる、請求項1に記載の送信機。
- 前記複数の量子化表現が、前記異種ネットワークにおける互いに素なチャネルを介した送信用にキューイングされる、請求項1に記載の送信機。
- 異種ネットワークを介したコンテンツ配信のクリフ効果を軽減する方法であって、
特定のレートの量子化表現を作り出すために、コンテンツ単位を符号化するステップと、
符号化されていないコンテンツ単位記号の1つの部分集合のみを選択するステップと、
ネットワークを介した送信用に、前記量子化表現および符号化されていないコンテンツ単位記号の前記部分集合をキューイングするステップとを含み、前記量子化表現と、符号化されていないコンテンツ単位記号の前記部分集合とが、ハイブリッド記述としてパケットにまとめられており、前記方法は、
前記符号化するステップ、前記選択するステップおよび前記キューイングするステップを繰り返すステップと
を含む、方法。 - 異種ネットワークを介したコンテンツ配信のクリフ効果を軽減するための受信機であって、
1つのコンテンツ単位を表す複数のハイブリッド記述としてまとめられている受信した複数のパケットから抽出される複数の量子化表現を復号するように構成されたジョイントデコーダと、
前記ジョイントデコーダに関連付けられており、前記コンテンツ単位を表す少なくとも1つの符号化されていない記号を用いて、前記ジョイントデコーダが復号できなかった少なくとも1つの対応する記号を補償するように構成された加算合流部と
を備える、受信機。 - 前記ジョイントデコーダが、前記量子化表現のうちのただ1つを一度に復号するように構成された従来のデコーダの複数のインスタンスを含む、請求項8に記載の受信機。
