Description
図1に示される交流LED照明装置の基本構成要素の概略図から分かるように、交流電流の周期性により、該構成要素に基づくLED発光は周期的に明暗が変化する。即ち、発光がちらついて、装置の使用に影響を与える。
通常の交流電流は、周波数が50Hzであり、つまり、その周期が20ミリ秒である。半周期(すなわち、10ミリ秒)において、電流の方向は変わらないが、電流の大きさは変わる。実施例1〜18のLEDチップを、交直変換を行わず、主電源により直接電圧を下げて接続した場合に、図1の構成要素に示される照明装置が300コマ/秒のハイスピードカメラで測定された20ミリ秒内の発光輝度は、表2に示される通りである。対照サンプルは、市販の青色光チップに黄色発光材料が封止された白色光LEDチップが、同様に構成された交流LED照明装置である。表2において、輝度データは、計器により測定される相対輝度であり、単位は無い。
表3には実施例1〜18と対照サンプルのそれぞれの光減衰データが示されている。対照サンプルは、市販の青色光チップに黄色発光材料が封止された白色光LEDチップが目下通用の直流電源方式に従って実装された照明装置である。測定方法は以下の通りである:実施例1〜18の交流LED照明装置と対照サンプルに通電した後、一定の時間おきにその発光輝度を測定した。その結果は表3に示されるものである。表3において、データは相対輝度であって、最初のデータを基準としたものである。
Claims (3)
- 青色光LEDチップ、紫色光LEDチップまたは紫外線LEDチップのいずれかと、発光材料を用いた発光塗装層とを含み、
前記発光材料が青色残光性発光材料Aと黄色発光材料Bとの下記組合せ(1)から下記組合せ(4)のいずれかであり、
組合せ(1):
前記青色残光性発光材料Aである、40wt%Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+,Dy3+と、
前記黄色発光材料Bである、60wt%Y2O3・Al2O3・SiO2:Ce・B・Na・P,との組合せ,
組合せ(2):
前記青色残光性発光材料Aである、5wt%Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,DY3++30wt%Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+,Dy3++15wt%CaS:Bi3+,Na+と、
前記黄色発光材料Bである、25wt%Y2O3・Al2O3・SiO2:Ce・B・Na・P+10wt%Sr3SiO5:Eu2+,Dy3++15wt%Ca2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,Dy3+,との組合せ,
組合せ(3):
前記青色残光性発光材料Aである、5wt%Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,DY3++15wt%CaSrS:Bi3++20wt%Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+,Dy3+と、
前記黄色発光材料Bである、15wt%Sr3SiO5:Eu2+,Dy3++20wt%Ca2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,Dy3++25wt%Y3Al5O12:Ce,との組合せ,
組合せ(4):
前記青色残光性発光材料Aである、45wt%Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+,Dy3+と、
前記黄色発光材料Bである、55wt%Y2O3・Al2O3・SiO2:Ce・B・Na・P;との組合せ;
前記組合せ(1)〜(3)の場合、前記青色光LEDチップを有し、
前記組合せ(4)の場合、前記紫色光LEDチップを有し、
前記黄色発光材料Bが前記青色光LEDチップ、前記紫色光LEDチップまたは前記紫外線LEDチップの励起により発光でき、および/または前記青色残光性発光材料Aの励起により発光でき、
周波数が50Hz以上の交流電流で駆動され、
前記青色残光性発光材料A及び黄色発光材料Bの組合せが前記組合せ(1)から(4)の何れかである場合、所定期間における装置の光出力が所定の減衰率以下である
ことを特徴とする、白色光LED照明装置。 - 前記青色残光性発光材料Aの発光波長のピーク値が440〜490nmの範囲にあることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の白色光LED照明装置。
- 前記黄色発光材料Bの発光波長のピーク値が520〜580nmの範囲にあることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の白色光LED照明装置。
