Claims (9)
- 繊維配置システム(10)であって、
樹脂(4)を1つ又は2つ以上の繊維トウ(2)に塗工し、樹脂を繊維トウに注入して1つ又は2つ以上のインライン樹脂注入繊維トウを形成する樹脂含浸アセンブリ(20)、及び
樹脂含浸アセンブリからインライン樹脂注入繊維トウを受け取り、冷却するように構成された1つ以上の冷却器(40)と、冷却後の樹脂注入繊維トウを受け取り、切断するように構成された1つ以上の切断機アセンブリ(50)と、切断後の繊維トウを受け取り、器具(70)に圧縮するように構成された圧縮アセンブリ(60)とを有する繊維配置ヘッド(30)
を備え、
樹脂含浸アセンブリ(20)が、樹脂(4)を受け取るように構成された1つ又は2つ以上の注入ローラー(22)を有し、各注入ローラーには複数のホール(24)が設けられ、樹脂を繊維トウに注入してインライン樹脂注入トウを形成するように構成されており、
前記繊維配置システム(10)は、さらに、1つ以上のクリール(90)を備え、各クリールが1つ又は2つ以上の繊維トウを各冷却器(40)に供給するように構成されている、
繊維配置システム(10)。 - 樹脂含浸アセンブリ(20)が、樹脂をそれぞれの繊維トウに堆積するように構成された1つ又は2つ以上のノズル(21)を有し、繊維配置システム(10)がさらに、それぞれの繊維トウの繊維速度に対して各ノズル(21)からの樹脂の流量を制御するように構成された制御装置(80)を備え、樹脂含浸アセンブリ(20)がさらに1つ又は2つ以上のコンピュータ制御ポンプ(23)を有し、各ポンプが樹脂をそれぞれのノズル(21)に供給するように構成され、制御装置(80)により各ポンプを制御する、請求項1に記載の繊維配置システム(10)。
- 樹脂含浸アセンブリ(20)が樹脂をそれぞれの繊維トウに堆積するように構成された1つ又は2つ以上のノズル(21)を有し、樹脂含浸アセンブリ(20)がさらに繊維トウへの樹脂の注入を増強する注入増強装置(25)を有する、請求項1に記載の繊維配置システム(10)。
- 各冷却器(40)が樹脂注入繊維トウを100°F以上の初期温度から50°F未満の冷却後温度まで冷却するように構成され、各冷却器(40)には複数の冷却チャンネル(41)が設けられ、それぞれのインライン樹脂注入繊維トウを受け取り、冷却するように構成され、各インライン樹脂注入繊維トウが冷却チャンネルの上側壁(43)及び下側壁(45)から0.5mm以上のギャップ(δ)で隔てられている、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の繊維配置システム(10)。
- 各冷却器(40)が樹脂注入繊維トウを100°F以上の初期温度から50°F未満の冷却後温度まで冷却するように構成され、各冷却器(40)には複数の冷却チャンネル(41)が設けられ、それぞれのインライン樹脂注入繊維トウを受け取り、冷却するように構成され、各冷却チャンネル(41)がさらに並行流、対向流及び直交流の少なくとも1つを用いてそれぞれのインライン樹脂注入繊維トウを冷却するように構成されている、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の繊維配置システム(10)。
- 各冷却器(40)が樹脂注入繊維トウを140°F以上の初期温度から40°F未満の冷却後温度まで冷却するように構成されている、請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の繊維配置システム(10)。
- 各冷却器(40)が、冷却材を受け取るように構成された少なくとも1つの入口(42)と、前記入口と流体連通している少なくとも1つのプレナム(44)と、冷却材の少なくとも一部をプレナムの内方部分から外方部分に分流する分流器(46)とを備え、各冷却器(40)には複数の冷却チャンネル(41)が設けられ、それぞれのインライン樹脂注入繊維トウを受け取り、冷却するように構成され、分流器(46)が冷却材の少なくとも一部を冷却チャンネルの出口部分に分流する、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の繊維配置システム(10)。
- 樹脂(4)を1つ又は2つ以上の繊維トウ(2)に塗工し、
樹脂を繊維トウに注入してインライン樹脂注入トウを形成するように構成された複数のホール(24)が各々に設けられた1つ又は2つ以上の注入ローラー(22)を用い、
樹脂を繊維トウに注入して1つ又は2つ以上のインライン樹脂注入繊維トウを形成し、
1つ以上のクリール(90)を用い、1つ以上のインライン繊維トウの各々を1つ以上の冷却器(40)の各々に供給し、
前記1つ以上の冷却器(40)を用い、インライン樹脂注入繊維トウを100°F以上の初期温度から50°F未満の冷却後温度まで冷却し、
冷却後の樹脂注入繊維トウを切断し、
切断後の繊維トウを器具(70)に圧縮する工程を含む、
繊維配置方法。 - 前記初期温度が140°F以上で、冷却後温度が40°F未満であり、冷却工程で並行流、対向流及び直交流の少なくとも1つを用いてインライン樹脂注入繊維トウを冷却する、請求項8に記載の繊維配置方法。
