Description

The present invention relates to a reciprocating saw structure suitable for a pruning operation.

A so-called “powered reciprocating saw” that cuts wood or the like by reciprocating a saw blade with respect to a tool body may be used for pruning operations such as fruit trees and garden trees. The demand is increasing now because it requires less labor than the hand-ground type and the time required for cutting is shortened.

This ordinary pruning operation is different from a normal sawing operation in which sawed wood is cut, and there is no work table, and the object to be cut is a “branch”, and the thickness varies. Therefore, when the saw blade of the reciprocating saw is simply applied to the branch, for example, in the case of cutting a flexible twig, the bending of the branch may be synchronized with the back and forth movement of the saw blade, making cutting impossible.

Therefore, usually, while holding the reciprocating saw with a dominant hand, the other hand holds the branch to be cut, and the saw blade is driven so that the branch is not synchronized. However, if the position for gripping the branch is away from the saw blade, the effect of preventing synchronization is reduced, and it is dangerous to grip the vicinity of the saw blade that moves back and forth by power.

There has also been proposed a device for preventing the synchronization operation at the time of pruning by a method other than a method of attaching a hand. For example, in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-236747, a branch cutting tool used to cut off a branch at a high place and a reciprocating branch cutting machine equipped with this cutting tool are provided with a hook that can hook a branch. An invention has been proposed in which

However, in the case of this hook-shaped cutting tool, the saw blade and the hook main body are both on the same side with respect to the branch, and it is only the tip of the hook that may support the branch from the opposite side of the saw blade. It is. On the other hand, the actual cutting in the reciprocating motion of the saw blade is usually during the “pulling operation”.
That is, when a flexible and easily bent twig is cut with a general reciprocating saw, it can be said that the twig tends to be pulled to the near side.

However, in the case of this hook-shaped cutting tool, the structure at the tip of the hook is suitable for restricting the twig from leaving, but has little effect of preventing the twig from moving forward.
Therefore, when performing a pruning operation using this cutting tool, when the branch is captured at the tip of the hook, the branch is bent as much as possible to the near side, that is, the branch is on the blade side of the hook inner surface by its own restoring force. It is necessary to drive the saw blade in a state where it is urged by.
Naturally, such an operation puts an unnecessary load on the branch, and in some cases, the branch may break at an unexpected part, which may cause trouble in harvesting.

Therefore, the present inventor has finally made the present invention as a result of intensive studies in view of this point. The feature of the present inventor is that a tool body having a reciprocating body and a rear end side are fixed to the reciprocating body. A reciprocating saw constituted by a saw blade, wherein a support member disposed in parallel to the saw blade without contacting the blade surface is rotatably provided on the tool body. A branch support portion is provided on the side facing the teeth of the saw blade, and the rotation of the support member is urged by a spring member in a direction from the back of the support member toward the branch support portion. A handle member is provided for rotating the support member in a direction from the branch support portion of the support member toward the back against the force.

That is, the greatest feature of the present invention resides in the presence and function of the support member. The support member is grasped so that the branch to be cut is sandwiched between the saw blade and the support member, and then the saw blade is driven to cut. A portion of the support member that contacts the cutting target (branch) is referred to as a “branch support portion”. The branch support portion is configured so that the branch does not shift during the cutting operation by the saw blade, but the details thereof are not particularly limited. A typical structure for “preventing slippage” of the branch support is a tooth structure. By adopting a tooth structure, the zigzag tip (tooth) bites into the branch, and displacement can be prevented.

As a structure other than the teeth, a paper file-like rough surface, a structure in which the branch support part is recessed, a structure in which a rising part is provided on the tip side, a structure in which a large number of grooves are provided, and the like are conceivable.

The object to be cut (branch) is held in such a way that a bird can be caught by a beak, and one of the beaks at that time is a saw blade and the other is a support member. The support member is responsible for opening and closing the beak, and branch cutting is performed by moving the saw blade back and forth while holding the branch. Note that the branch at the time of cutting receives a force in the direction of rotation about its axis by the saw blade, but since one end of the branch is integrated with the tree trunk, the branch does not rotate greatly and can be smoothly operated.

The support member is rotatable, and the center of rotation is on the tool main body side (that is, on the side where reciprocating motion such as a reciprocating body and a saw blade is not performed). And since the blade surface of a support member is arrange | positioned in parallel without contacting the blade surface of a saw blade, even if it rotates, the distance with a saw blade does not change. The teeth of the support member are provided so as to face the teeth of the saw blade.

The rotation of the support member is always urged by the spring member in the direction from the back toward the branch support portion. One end of the spring member is fixed to the support member, and the other end is fixed to the tool body side. Since it is more efficient to obtain a large urging force if the spring member is fixed at a position away from the rotation axis position of the support member, it is preferable to provide a bent portion on the rear end side of the support member and fix it there. is there. Further, since the rotation range of the support member is sufficient if it is about 45 degrees, the rotation may be restricted. The mechanism for restriction is not particularly limited, but the stopper can be easily provided by using a member that the tool body originally has.

At the time of cutting the branch, first, in order to grasp the branch, it is necessary to open the support member by applying a force in a direction against the spring force of the spring member. In the present invention, this is performed manually, and is performed by a handle member provided on the support member. Depending on the mounting position of the handle member, it may be pushed and opened. In any case, once the branch is held, it will be held until the cutting is completed.

Further, if the support members are provided on both sides of the saw blade, the branches can be stably held, but may be provided only on one side. Also, if the support member, spring member, handle member, etc. are detachable from the tool body, the reciprocating saw can be used for purposes other than pruning by removing it, and a commercially available reciprocating saw can be easily used. It can be changed for pruning and is convenient.

The pruning reciprocating saw according to the present invention is an extremely advanced invention having the following effects.
(1) Since the cutting is performed after sandwiching the branches so as to hold the branches, the branches are supported from below, and the cutting operation can be performed reliably without applying a load to the branches.
(2) If a conventional reciprocating saw is used as it is and a support member or the like is detachably attached thereto, both normal use and pruning work can be handled.

(A) thru | or (d) are all partial side views which show the other example about the branch bearing part of the pruning reciprocating saw which concerns on this invention. It is a schematic side view which shows the other example of the pruning reciprocating saw concerning this invention.

1 to 3 show an example of a pruning reciprocating saw 1 according to the present invention (hereinafter referred to as “the present invention reciprocating saw 1”). FIG. 1 is a perspective view, FIG. 2 is a side view, and FIG. It is a side view. As is apparent from these drawings, the reciprocating saw 1 of the present invention is an electric saw using an AC power source, and a pair of support members 4 and 4 is added to a normal reciprocating saw constituted by a tool body 2 and a saw blade 3. Similarly, a pair of coil springs 5 and 5 and a handle member 6 are attached. The tool body 2 uses a conventional product as it is, and is not numbered, but includes a power cord, a motor, switches, a grip portion, and the like.

The saw blade 3 is detachably attached to a reciprocating body 21 provided in the tool body 2 and moves back and forth in a state of being fitted into a gap formed by a bent guide arm 22 made of steel wire. . This guide arm 22 is originally a member installed in the tool body 2 for the purpose of preventing the saw blade from entering the wood too much during the cutting operation and the reciprocating body 21 from hitting and damaging the wood surface. is there.

In the reciprocating saw 1 of the present invention of this example, the two support members 4, 4 are first integrated by two spacer rivets 41 and one rotating shaft rivet 42, and the rotating shaft rivet 42 is integrated with the guide arm 22. After fitting into the upper surface of the lower end, the bolts 43 are attached in the order of fixing.

The support member 4 and the tooth row of the saw blade 3 are gripped so as to sandwich the branch. In order to ensure the gripping, zigzag teeth 44 are engraved on the side of the branch of the support member 4 as a branch support portion. It is installed. Further, the proximal side of the support member 4 is bent in an L shape so as to be substantially orthogonal to the tooth row of the zigzag tooth 44, and a spring mounting rivet 45 is provided at the bent portion, near the tip. A handle member 6 is attached. After attaching the spring mounting rivet 45, one end of the coil spring 5 is locked to each of both ends thereof, and the other end is locked to the tool body 2 side.
As described above, in this example, the support member 4, the coil spring 5, and the like are attached using the guide arm 22, but other attachment methods may be employed (not shown).

The members such as the support member 4 and the coil spring 5 can be easily removed in the reverse order. Therefore, while usually used as a normal saw, it can be used as a dedicated saw for pruning by attaching the above-mentioned member during pruning work. However, since the structure and shape of the tool body is used for mounting, it cannot be said that the versatility is high. Therefore, a design designed for each reciprocating saw may be required.

The support member 4 is pivotable about the position of the pivot shaft rivet 42. This rotation area θ corresponds to a portion where the spring mounting rivet 45 can move inside the guide arm 22, and the tooth row of the zigzag tooth 44 of the support member 4 can be rotated between the p position and the q position. It is. The coil spring 5 constantly urges the support member 4 in the direction from the q position toward the p position. Therefore, the support member 4 is in a state where the tooth row is in the p position in a state where no external force is received. Become. The rotation range θ can be set to some extent by changing the design of the mounting position of the spring mounting rivet 45.

FIG. 4 shows a state in which the branch B is being cut using the reciprocating saw 1 of the present invention. At the time of cutting, while holding the tool body 2 with one hand, the handle member 6 is pushed forward (in the direction of the arrow in the figure) with the other hand to spread the support member 4. The hand is released from the handle member 6 at an appropriate position and the branch B is gripped (this figure depicts the state in which the support member 4 is most opened, that is, the state where the branch B is gripped at the q position. No need to open). When the reciprocating body 21 is driven, the saw blade 3 starts to move back and forth, and branches.

Next, FIGS. 5A to 5D show another example of the branch support portion structure of the support member 4. Instead of the zigzag teeth 44 shown so far, a rough surface 46 such as a paper file (FIG. (A)), a concave bay portion 47 (FIG. (B)), near the tip The gripping function is exhibited even when the projection 48 is provided (FIG. (C)) and the concave / convex groove 49 is provided (FIG. (D)).
In the case of the zigzag tooth 44, the tooth is stuck in the surface of the branch to prevent the branch from being displaced, and any part of the dentition has the branch B, which is sufficient. In the case of (a) and (d) in the figure, the disadvantage that the ability to prevent misalignment is somewhat lacking, in the case of (b) and (c) in the figure, the branch is not necessarily held anywhere. In the case of FIG. 3C, there is a problem that there is a risk that the projection 48 may be damaged because the projection 48 may exceed the tooth row of the saw blade 3 as the cutting operation proceeds. However, as long as the present inventors have experimented, it is possible to continue to hold the branch in any structure.

Up to this point, the present invention has been described with a two-piece structure in which the support member 4 is positioned on both sides of the saw blade 3. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and a type in which only one piece is provided on one side of the saw blade 3 can sufficiently exhibit the effect (not shown).

Finally, FIG. 6 shows an example of the present invention in the case of using a reciprocating saw for a case where branches to be pruned are separated (usually called a high branch). In the case of this type of reciprocating saw, the saw blade drive switch 23 is located at the hand handle 24 position, but the saw blade position itself is separated, so that it is difficult to rotate the support member 4 with the above-described structure. Therefore, as shown in the figure, an L-shaped fold on the proximal side of the support member 4 is provided on the opposite side to the one shown so far to form a T-shape, and one end of the remote control wire 61 is attached to the opposite side portion. The remote control wire 61 is pulled with the lever 62 at the hand and the support member 4 is opened. The remote operation wire 61 and the lever 62 in this example are the same as the bicycle brake wire peripheral structure, but are not limited thereto.
