Description

The present invention relates to a vehicular instrument including a liquid crystal panel on which various states of a vehicle such as a travel distance and a fuel remaining amount are displayed.

Conventionally, a vehicle instrument provided in front of a driver's seat of a vehicle is provided with a liquid crystal panel that displays various states of the vehicle such as a travel distance and a remaining amount of fuel. The liquid crystal panel is not self-luminous, and displays characters or the like by transmitting a light source disposed on the back side or transmitting / reflecting sunlight.

By the way, if the light emitted from the light source arranged on the back side of the liquid crystal panel is directly transmitted to the transmission part of the liquid crystal panel, the area near the light source of the liquid crystal panel becomes brighter than the other areas and uneven illumination occurs. Resulting in.

In order to avoid this, for example, the vehicular instrument of Patent Document 1 includes a shielding plate that blocks light emitted from a light source disposed near the outer periphery of the liquid crystal panel and directly directed to the liquid crystal panel, and a light source to the liquid crystal panel. A reflection plate that reflects and diffuses the light emitted along the liquid crystal panel toward the liquid crystal panel is provided, and the light unevenness is eliminated by directing the light emitted from the light source toward the liquid crystal panel.

2)Japanese Patent No. 4514569 (paragraphs 0027-0033, FIG. 2)

However, even with the structure as in Patent Document 1, when the area of the liquid crystal panel is large, the region far from the light source is difficult to reach light, so it becomes darker than the region near the light source, resulting in illumination unevenness. End up. In order to avoid this, the shape of the shielding plate is changed to reduce the amount of light that is reflected and diffused toward the area near the light source of the liquid crystal panel on the reflection plate, thereby eliminating uneven illumination on the entire liquid crystal panel. However, if it does so, the illumination of a liquid crystal panel will become dark overall.

The present invention has been made in view of such points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle instrument that can illuminate the entire liquid crystal panel in a balanced and bright manner even when the area of the liquid crystal panel is large. And the 1st inner wall part 33 of the vehicle width direction left side is the said 3rd light L3 except the said 1st light L1 and the 2nd light L2 among the lights emitted from the said left side LED7 in the said liquid crystal panel 2. so as not to transmit to a portion corresponding to the left in the vehicle width direction of the lighting space S (one LED7 side), and the vehicle width direction right side of the lighting space S from between the liquid crystal panel 2 and the bridging portion 35 through being so that the position is transmitted through a portion corresponding to the right in the vehicle width direction of the lighting space S in the liquid crystal panel 2.

On the other hand, the inclined surface portion 35a on the right side in the vehicle width direction of the bridge portion 35 is emitted toward the left side in the vehicle width direction so as to be substantially along the liquid crystal panel 2 out of the light emitted from the right LED 7, and the right light passage opening. The second light L4 passing through 33a is reflected and diffused toward the right side of the liquid crystal panel 2 in the vehicle width direction.

And the 1st inner wall part 33 of the vehicle width direction right side WHEREIN: The 3rd light L5 except the said 1st light L1 and the 2nd light L4 among the lights emitted from the said right side LED7 is the said in the said liquid crystal panel 2. so as not to transmit to a portion corresponding to the illumination space right in the vehicle width direction of S (other LED7 side), and the vehicle width direction left side of the lighting space S from between the liquid crystal panel 2 and the bridging portion 35 through being so that the position is transmitted through a portion corresponding to the left in the vehicle width direction of the lighting space S in the liquid crystal panel 2.

As described above, according to the embodiment of the present invention, the left LED 7 side of the liquid crystal panel 2 emits from the right LED 7 in addition to the second light L2 emitted from the left LED 7 and reflected and diffused by the bridge portion 35. While the light L5 that reaches directly beyond the bridge portion 35 is transmitted, the right LED 7 side of the liquid crystal panel 2 is added to the second light L4 that is emitted from the right LED 7 and is reflected and diffused by the bridge portion 35. The third light L3 emitted from the left LED 7 and directly reaching the bridge portion 35 is transmitted. Therefore, even when the area of the liquid crystal panel 2 is large, the entire liquid crystal panel 2 can be illuminated in a well-balanced and bright manner while eliminating uneven illumination.

Further, since the LED 7 is used as the light source, the light source becomes small, and the periphery of the liquid crystal panel 2 can be made compact.

In the embodiment of the present invention, the LED is used as the light source. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and other types of light sources may be used.

In the embodiment of the present invention, the instrument body 10 and the attachment member 3 are separate bodies, but they may be integrally formed.

Furthermore, in this embodiment, although application about the vehicle instrument 1 used for a motor vehicle was demonstrated, for example, it may apply to a motorcycle and can also be applied to another vehicle.

The present invention is suitable for a vehicular instrument provided with a liquid crystal panel on which various states of the vehicle such as a travel distance and a fuel remaining amount are displayed.
