上述の様に構成する本例に記載の一方向クラッチ内蔵型プーリ装置1aの場合、前記スリーブ3aのねじ孔8に螺合固定された回転軸の回転によって、このスリーブ3aが回転するのに伴い、前記キャップ18が回転する。そして、回転に基づく遠心力が発生し、前記内部空間22内に封入されたグリースが、前記本体部分17の内周面に押し付けられる傾向となる。更に、前記回転に基づく遠心力によって、前記グリースのうち、前記小通孔23の周辺部に押し付けられたグリースが、前記グリース供給路25を通じて、前記円筒状空間16に供給される事により、この円筒状空間16に、前記一方向クラッチ5を潤滑するのに十分な量のグリースが確保される。
前記グリース供給路25を構成する小通孔23、24の断面積は、前記円筒状空間16に供給するグリースの量、前記回転軸の回転速度及び前記グリース供給路25の長さ寸法等に基づいて適切に規制する。長期間の使用により、前記内部空間22に封入されたグリースが枯渇或いは劣化した場合には、前記キャップ18を交換する事で、引き続き前記円筒状空間16にグリースを供給できる。又、上述の様なグリース供給路は、前記本体部分の外周壁及び前記スリーブの複数箇所に設けても良い。
