Description

The disclosure of the present application relates to a terminal cover capable of covering a conductive terminal such as a flexible printed circuit board (hereinafter referred to as FPC).

In recent years, electronic devices such as notebook personal computers have become more multifunctional and higher performance, and an increasing number of users desire to purchase models with limited functions and performance. Increasingly, electronic device manufacturers produce a plurality of models with different functions and performances in order to meet the specifications demands of various users. For example, in the case of a notebook personal computer, a notebook personal computer manufacturer may manufacture a model equipped with communication means and a model not equipped with communication means. In this way, the manufacturer expands the model so that the user can select and purchase a model that meets his / her needs.

Electronic devices often use FPCs or conductive cables to electrically connect various built-in electrical units. When manufacturing a plurality of models having different functions and performances as described above, manufacturing FPCs for each model increases costs, and thus FPCs that can be shared by a plurality of models may be mounted. For example, in the case of a notebook personal computer, an FPC that can connect the main electric circuit board and the communication circuit board is mounted, and in the case of manufacturing a notebook personal computer equipped with a communication means, the communication circuit board is connected to the conductive terminal of the FPC for communication. In the case of manufacturing a notebook personal computer not equipped with a means, the conductive terminal of the FPC is electrically opened (the communication circuit board is not connected). The electrically opened FPC conductive terminals are often covered with an insulating cover to prevent short circuits from occurring with other components. Patent document 1 is disclosing the cover tube which can be covered on the connector of a flexible cable connector.

However, in the configuration disclosed in Patent Document 1, since the cover tube is merely covered with the connector of the flexible cable connector, the cover tube may be detached from the connector due to vibration or impact applied to the mobile phone. .

A terminal cover disclosed in the present application is a terminal cover that is formed in a planar shape and is attachable to and detachable from a conductive cable in which a conductive terminal is exposed in the vicinity of a longitudinal end portion of at least one main surface , and has electrical insulation. The first adhesive that is disposed in the vicinity of a pair of end portions on one main surface of the base material and is bonded to a portion other than the conductive terminal of the conductive cable. and a part and the second adhesive portion, wherein the first adhesive portion is adhered to said one main surface of said conductive cable, wherein the second adhesive portion, the other main surface of said conductive cable Affixed to cover the vicinity of the longitudinal end of the conductive cable where the conductive terminal is exposed.

According to the disclosure of the present application, since the terminal cover can be fixed to the FPC, the conductive terminal of the FPC can be reliably insulated. Further, when the terminal cover is intentionally removed from the FPC, no adhesive or the like remains on the conductive terminal of the FPC, so that it is possible to prevent conduction failure of the conductive terminal.

(Embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an FPC. The FPC 1 includes a plurality of conductive terminals 2. The conductive terminal 2 is exposed to the outside at the end of the FPC 1 in the longitudinal direction. The conductive terminal 2 is exposed only on the surface 1a of the FPC 2.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the terminal cover according to the present embodiment. The terminal cover 10 includes a base material 11, a first adhesive portion 12, and a second adhesive portion 13. The substrate 11 is preferably formed of a material that has electrical insulation and can be easily bent and deformed. In the present embodiment, the base material 11 is made of polyethylene terephthalate as a material, has a rectangular planar shape, and has a sheet shape with a thickness of 0.05 mm. In addition, the material, dimension, and shape of the base material 11 are examples. The first adhesive portion 12 is disposed on one end portion in the longitudinal direction on the surface 11 a of the base material 11. The second adhesive portion 13 is disposed on the other end portion in the longitudinal direction on the surface 11 a of the base material 11. The 1st adhesion part 12 and the 2nd adhesion part 13 are realizable by the composition where the adhesive was applied, and the composition where the double-sided adhesive tape was stuck. It is preferable that the 1st adhesion part 12 and the 2nd adhesion part 13 have the adhesive force which can attach or detach the terminal cover 10 to FPC1. The width dimension L11 of the first adhesive portion 12 in the longitudinal direction of the base material 11 and the width dimension L12 of the second adhesive portion 13 in the longitudinal direction of the base material 11 are:
L11 <L12
Have the relationship. By having such a dimensional relationship, a large width dimension L1 of the non-adhesive region (region where the adhesive portion is not disposed) on the first adhesive portion 12 side from the center line C in the longitudinal direction of the base material 11 is ensured. be able to. The center line C is an imaginary line located in the center of the terminal cover 10 in the longitudinal direction and along the short direction of the terminal cover 10. Further, by increasing the width dimension L12 of the second bonding portion 13, the bonding area between the FPC 1 and the terminal cover 10 can be increased, and the bonding strength can be improved. The relationship between the width dimension L11 of the first adhesive portion 12 and the width dimension L12 of the second adhesive portion 13 is an example.

Moreover, the width dimension L21 (refer FIG. 1) of the transversal direction of FPC1 and the width dimension L31 of the transversal direction of the terminal cover 10 are as follows.
L21 ≦ L31
It is preferable that With such a dimensional relationship, the terminal cover 10 can reliably cover the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1. In the case of the relationship of “L21 <L31”, the second adhesive portion 13 is bent and deformed on the electrode portion back surface of the conductive terminal 2 and the surface 11a of the base material 11 (the first adhesive portion with respect to the center line C). 12 side), the adhesive constituting the second adhesive portion 13 may adhere to the electrode portion of the conductive terminal 2. In such a case, it is preferable that the length dimension L41 of the conductive terminal 2 and the length dimension L2 of the base material 11 satisfy the relationship “L41 ≦ L2”.

When the terminal cover 10 shown in FIG. 2 is attached to the FPC 1, the procedure shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B is performed.

First, as shown to FIG. 3A, the 2nd adhesion part 13 of the terminal cover 10 is stuck on the back surface 1b of FPC1. At this time, the terminal cover 10 has a posture in which the longitudinal direction is the same as the longitudinal direction of the FPC 1. Moreover, it is preferable that the sticking position is a position where the center line C of the terminal cover 10 and the end 1c on the conductive terminal 2 side of the FPC 1 do not overlap. With this configuration, for example, the peeling of the conductive terminal 2 from the end 1c due to the contact between the terminal cover 10 and the conductive terminal 2 can be suppressed, whereby the first adhesive portion 12 is adhered to the conductive terminal 2 in the next step. Less likely.

Next, from the state shown in FIG. 3A, the first adhesive portion 12 side of the base material 11 of the terminal cover 10 is displaced as shown by an arrow D, and the base material 11 is bent or bent as shown in FIG. 3B. . Next, the 1st adhesion part 12 is stuck on the surface 1a of FPC1. At this time, the 1st adhesion part 12 is stuck on the position which is not in contact with conductive terminal 2 other than the field in which conductive terminal 2 of FPC1 was formed. In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3A, when the second adhesive portion 13 is attached to the FPC 1, the center line C of the terminal cover 10 is attached to a position that does not overlap the end portion 1c of the FPC 1. As shown in FIG. 3B, when the terminal cover 10 is bent, the first adhesive portion 12 is disposed at a position where it is difficult to contact the conductive terminal 2.

The terminal cover 10 can be attached to the FPC 1 by the above procedure. 4 is a plan view of the FPC 1 and the terminal cover 10 in the state of FIG. 3B. 3B and 4, when the terminal cover 10 is mounted on the FPC 1, the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1 is covered with the terminal cover 10, and the conductive terminal 2 is connected to, for example, a connector (not shown). Even in a free end state, other members are in contact with the conductive terminal 2 to prevent problems such as a short circuit or unnecessary power supply to the FPC 1.

When the terminal cover 10 is detached from the FPC 1, the first adhesive portion 12 is peeled off from the surface 1a on the conductive terminal 2 side of the FPC 1, and the second adhesive portion 13 is peeled off from the back surface 1b of the FPC 1.

According to the present embodiment, since the terminal cover 10 can be fixed to the FPC 1 with the first adhesive portion 12 and the second adhesive portion 13, even if vibration or impact is applied to the FPC 1 from the outside, The position of the terminal cover 10 is difficult to shift. Therefore, the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1 can be reliably covered and electrically insulated.

Further, according to the present embodiment, one end (first adhesive portion 12 side) of the terminal cover 10 is fixed to the front surface 1a of the FPC 1, and the other end (second adhesive portion) of the terminal cover 10 is attached to the back surface 1b of the FPC 1. 13), the terminal cover 10 is not easily displaced, and the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1 can be reliably covered with the surface 11a of the terminal cover 10.

Further, according to the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, since the first adhesive portion 12 is adhered to the FPC 1 over the entire width direction of the FPC 1, the terminal cover 10 is the first cover. It can prevent rotating around the bonding portion 12. Thereby, the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1 can be reliably covered. In addition, although illustration is abbreviate | omitted, it is preferable that the 2nd adhesion part 13 is also stuck over the whole area of the width direction of FPC1 similarly to the 1st adhesion part 12. FIG. According to any one of the configurations described above, the bonding area between the first bonding portion 12 and / or the second bonding portion 13 and the FPC 1 can be widened in a region other than the region where the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1 is disposed. At the same time, the surplus portion of the terminal cover 10 in the short direction of the FPC 1 can be bonded. Together, these are configured to cover the conductive terminal 2 in a bag shape, and the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1 can be reliably covered.

As described above, when the width dimension L21 of the FPC 1 and the width dimension L31 of the terminal cover 10 have a relationship of “L21 <L31”, the length dimension L41 of the conductive terminal 2 and the length of the base material 11 It is preferable that the dimension L2 satisfies the relationship “L41 ≦ L2”. Due to this dimensional relationship, the conductive terminal 2 and the second adhesive portion 13 do not overlap as shown in FIG. 4, so that the adhesive constituting the second adhesive portion 13 is formed on the electrode portion of the conductive terminal 2. The possibility that the agent will adhere is reduced. The length dimension L2 is the length of the region where the surface of the base material 11 is exposed from the center line C (see FIG. 2) of the base material 11 to the end of the second adhesive portion 13.

Moreover, according to this Embodiment, since the terminal cover 10 is affixed on locations other than the conductive terminal 2 in FPC1, the adhesive which remains in FPC1 when the terminal cover 10 is intentionally removed from FPC1. Remains in places other than the conductive terminal 2. Therefore, it is possible to prevent a conduction failure or the like of the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1 due to the adhesive residue on the conductive terminal 2.

In the present embodiment, the conductive terminal 2 of the FPC 1 is described as an object to which the terminal cover can be attached. However, the present invention can also be applied to a conductive terminal of a conductive wire, a terminal of an electronic device, or the like. That is, the FPC 1 in the present embodiment is an example of a conductive cable. Moreover, the conductive terminal 2 in this Embodiment is an example of a conductive terminal. Moreover, the terminal cover 10 in this Embodiment is an example of a terminal cover.

In this embodiment, the FPC with the conductive terminals exposed on one side is described as an example, but the present invention can also be applied to the FPC 1 with the conductive terminals 2 and 3 exposed on both sides as shown in FIG. In this case, it is necessary to shorten the dimension of the terminal cover 10 in the longitudinal direction so that the second adhesive portion 14 of the terminal cover 10 does not contact the conductive terminal 3.

Moreover, in this Embodiment, the 2nd adhesion part 13 is affixed on the back surface 1b of FPC1 (refer FIG. 3A), and the terminal cover 10 is attached in the order which affixes the 1st adhesion part 12 on the surface 1a of FPC1. Although the procedure for attaching to the FPC 1 has been described, the attaching procedure may be reversed.

In the present embodiment, the first adhesive portion 12 and the second adhesive portion 13 in the longitudinal direction have been described as being provided up to both ends of the terminal cover 10, but the first end from the end of the terminal cover 10 is the first. For example, the base material 11 may be provided between the adhesive portion 12 and / or the second adhesive portion 13 as a holding allowance. By adopting such a configuration, when the terminal cover 10 disposed on the FPC 1 is peeled and connected to the connector, an unnecessary force applied in a direction parallel to the surface of the FPC 1 can be suppressed.

The disclosure of the present application is useful for a terminal cover that can cover a conductive terminal such as an FPC.
