Description
The present invention is an inspection for inspecting normal operation and abnormal operation of a charger mainly assuming rapid charging of an in-vehicle storage battery (hereinafter referred to as “battery”) of an unspecified number of electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as “EV”). The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a charger for EV, a technique has been proposed in which charging is automatically performed by setting a charging condition for a battery having a different type and voltage depending on a target EV (forklift or the like) (for example, , See Patent Document 1).
In
Conventionally, as a method of charging an EV battery, a DC charging method of charging with a direct current and an AC charging method of charging with an alternating current are known.
The AC charging method is a method of connecting a cable from the EV side to an outlet of a power supply system of 100V or 200V, and converting the direct current on the EV to charge the battery.
In this case, a charge / discharge control device including an in-vehicle power control system (hereinafter referred to as “PCS”), a battery management system (hereinafter referred to as “BMS”), etc. performs charge control.
In general, performing 0% to 100% charging in one hour is referred to as “1 hour rate”, and the current value at that time is referred to as “1C”. If this notation is used, the AC charging method varies depending on the battery, but generally, charging is performed at 0.2 C to 0.1 C, so that the charging time is about 5 to 10 hours.
On the other hand, in the DC charging method, since charging is performed at about 2C to 0.5C, the charging time is about 0.5 to 2 hours.
In this case, a stationary charger is required outside the vehicle, and the charger converts the AC power from the power supply system into DC and charges the battery with a voltage of about 50 V to 500 V and a current of about 0 to 120 A. It will be.
Further, the charger in the DC charging method includes a PCS that controls voltage, current, etc., and the PCS controls the current within the range of the charger specifications in accordance with the charging instruction from the in-vehicle PCS, The charging current is supplied to the battery.
However, the voltage range and current amount of the battery differ depending on the vehicle type and battery specifications, and the voltage and current range that can be supplied to the charger are not uniform.
By the way, as a charger inspection device, whether or not the charger achieves the performance and signal communication function as specified is naturally inspected at the factory before shipment, but after the charger is installed In this case, the signal communication is inspected relatively easily by a tester or the like. In this case, as an example, an inspection device that generates 500 V and 125 A of actual power is only connected to the EV.
If the charger is connected to the EV when the charger malfunctions, an error signal is sent to the EV side, so that the BMS malfunctions and the battery is damaged such as overcharge or overdischarge.
In order to avoid this, in order to check the operation of the charger for various EVs having different charging voltages and current ranges, it is necessary to actually connect and verify different inspection devices corresponding to the EVs having different specifications. There is.
In a conventional charger inspection device, an EV charger needs to be charged to a battery having various voltage and current specifications. Therefore, in order to confirm an operation that matches each specification, a different EV is used. It is necessary to confirm the operation by actually connecting.
However, the operation check with the actual vehicle connected has a problem of damaging the battery when a malfunction of the charger occurs.
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems, and when inspecting a charger used for rapid charging of a battery equipped with an EV, battery data and data of the chargers of a plurality of EVs are obtained. By recording in the inspection device in advance and operating the charger under the same conditions as when using the battery, and sending the battery acceptance voltage or indication value outside the acceptance current range to the charger and stopping the operation, It is an object of the present invention to provide a charger inspection apparatus and method capable of efficiently performing charge inspection on EVs having different specifications without using a battery.
A charger inspection device according to the present invention is an inspection device connected to a charger via a charging cable in order to inspect a charger for charging a battery, to which the charging cable is connected. A charging outlet, a recording device that pre-records battery data specific to the vehicle model on which the battery is mounted or charging condition data specific to the charger, and a charge control unit that instructs the charger on the current indication value supplied from the charger Data recorded in the recording device, the discharger that absorbs the current supplied from the charger, and the actual amount of voltage and current supplied from the charger based on the current indication value from the charge control unit And a calculation unit that compares the value or the current instruction value from the charge control unit.
According to the present invention, by using an inspection device that includes a discharger that absorbs electric power and a recording device that records battery control specification data of a plurality of vehicle types, a charger without using an actual EV and battery. Can be inspected.
In addition, charging control communication inspection of the charger is performed without using an actual vehicle equipped with a battery, so that even if a malfunction occurs, the battery is not damaged and the battery is inspected under difficult and accurate conditions. Is possible.
In addition, since the data unique to various EVs and the allowable voltage / current range of the charger are recorded in the inspection device, the inspection can be performed under the same conditions as when an actual vehicle is connected.
Further, according to the present invention, the stop operation is inspected by instructing the charger from the inspection device intentionally the allowable voltage and value outside the current range of the EV, and the allowable voltage and value outside the current range of the charger. It becomes possible to do.

Next, a specific inspection procedure according to the first embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 1 will be described with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram showing battery data recorded in the
In FIG. 2, the horizontal axis represents the elapsed time (hr), the vertical axis represents the cell voltage (V) of the battery, the cell voltage at the minimum value A of the battery (lithium ion battery) remaining capacity is 3 V, and the maximum value B. The charging voltage characteristic when the cell voltage is 4 V and power is supplied from the
In FIG. 2, normal constant current and constant voltage charging (generally referred to as “CC-CV charging”) is performed. CC-CV charging is a stage where charging is performed at a constant current when the difference between the set voltage and the current voltage is greater than a certain value, and the current value is decreased near the set voltage, resulting in a current value less than a certain value or a set time. This is a process for ending charging.
Note that when an electronically controlled load application device is used as the discharger 9 in the
Therefore, for example, it is possible to confirm the operation of the entire range in a short time by increasing or omitting the boosting speed within the range of 3.1 V to 3.9 V, compared with the case of charging the battery.
During charging, the
Furthermore, it is possible to inspect the stop operation by instructing the charger from the inspection device intentionally a battery allowable voltage and a value outside the current range specific to the EV, and a value outside the charger allowable voltage and current range. Become.

At this time, the information from the

At the time of steps S4 and S5, if the collation results are inconsistent and there is a difference between the data, both data are displayed on the display unit 6 of the

Next, a voltage (= 3 V) and a required current instruction value assuming that the remaining capacity of the battery is at the minimum value A are transmitted from the
Thereby, the cell voltage (battery voltage) of the discharger 9 rises as shown in FIG. 2 according to the amount of charge, and the battery capacity of the discharger 9 reaches the specified value (step S11).
When the current value becomes equal to or lower than the current instruction value at the upper limit voltage and the
Thereby, the
Further, the stop operation is inspected by instructing the charger to a value outside the allowable voltage and current range (step S14a).
Subsequently, on the
Thereby, on the
Since the actual vehicle battery is not used in the series of inspections in FIG. 3, even if a large current different from the indicated value is sent from the
Moreover, by adding a sequence for sequentially inspecting the inspection routine of FIG. 3 for each vehicle type to the
As described above, the
The charging

That is, the
As described above, the
Further, since the charging control communication inspection of the
Furthermore, since the
In addition, in the data recorded in advance in the

The charging condition data specific to the
As a result, the voltage and current supplied from the
Further, the
That is, the step of collating, the step of displaying an abnormality, the step of transmitting a current instruction value, the step of supplying power, and the step of stopping the supply of power are performed by sequentially obtaining a plurality of data recorded in advance in the
By having such a repetitive sequence, it is possible to automatically and accurately inspect the charging pattern according to the specifications of the vehicle type and the battery, and efficient inspection can be performed in a short time.
