本発明のまつ毛化粧料の成分として、フェニルアラニン及びワックスを含有する場合は、マスカラとして高いカール効果が得られる。
いずれの場合にも、本発明のまつ毛化粧料を塗布して得られたカール効果は、洗浄によりまつ毛化粧料を除去した後までも、持続し、くり返し使用することにより、その持続効果も高くなる。

実施例において行った評価方法は、以下のとおりである。
(1)塗布後のカール効果(毛髪試験):
長さ1〜1.5cmの毛髪を3本とり、水平に固定し、図1のようにセットする。この毛髪に、マスカラブラシ(外径5.5mm、ナイロン(4ミル)、シゴキ径3.4mm)を用いて、まつ毛化粧料10回を塗布し、水平面からの毛髪のカール角度を測定した。測定は3回行ない、平均値を反り角度として評価した。

ただし、実施例8〜9、比較例2を塗布した場合は、水で洗浄する前に、オイルクレンジング剤で洗浄した。

◎:ダマが僅かにできるが仕上がりに大きな影響はない。
○:ダマが僅かにできて仕上がりに影響がある。
×:ダマができる。
(5) Finish:
