Description
別例による内部人工器官は、 複数の長尺状部材であって、内部人工器官の少なくとも一端にて相互に覆うように交差する長尺状部材と、1つ以上の長尺状部材によって内部人工器官の一端に位置される少なくとも1つのループ構造体と、少なくとも1つのループ構造体を通過するフィラメントと、長尺状部材の交差点の基端側に位置される防護構造体であって、同防護構造体によりフィラメントが交差点に進入することが防止される防護構造体と、長尺状部材の一部分に沿って位置されるカバーとを備える。カバーは、防護構造体とは分けられ離間する。
ステント構造体の縫合糸構造体を操作することにより、縫合糸構造体は、交差構造体に接近し、長尺状部材の部分的に重なる長手方向部分に対して直接に接触する。長尺状部材の部分的に重なる長手方向部分に対して縫合糸構造体が直接に接触することにより、縫合糸構造体は、長手方向部分と絡み合ってしまう。これに代えて、縫合糸構造体は、十分な圧力により長尺状部材の長手方向部分に対して直接に接触するように張引されてもよく、また、長尺状部材は、縫合糸構造体の直接的な接触により、縫合糸構造体が交差構造体を通して移動する通路を形成すべく長尺状部材を分離させるために十分な弾性を備えてもよい。縫合糸構造体は、縫合糸構造体が最初に通過して延びるループ構造体内に保持されることを通常意図されるため、どちらの状況も通常望ましくない。従って、交差構造体を通した縫合糸構造体の移動は通常望ましくない。更に、ステント構造体に対して略妨害されることなく縫合糸構造体が移動することが通常好ましいため、ステント構造体に対する縫合糸構造体の絡み合いは、通常望ましくない。
図面、より詳細には図1および2において、内部人工器官10は、管状構造体に編まれる長尺状部材14を有するステント構造体12を備える。別例において、管状構造体は1つの長尺状部材14から編み込まれる。ステント構造体12は、1つのオーバー編み組パターンおよび1つのアンダー編み組パターンの長尺状部材、即ちフィラメント14を含む。しかしながら、本発明は、1つ以上の長尺状部材が交差する少なくとも1つの交差点を含む、任意のタイプのステント構造体に応用可能である。例えば、少なくとも1つの交差点を有するステントは、編み組したステント、巻かれたステント、螺旋状に巻かれたステント、編み込まれたステント、織られたステント等を含むが、これらに限定されるものではない。更に、本発明はステントに限定されるものではなく、長尺状部材、および1つ以上の長尺状部材が交差する交差点を含む任意の内部人工器官に関する。
例示的な細胞は、幹細胞、始原細胞、内皮細胞、成人の心筋細胞および平滑筋細胞を含む。細胞は、ヒト由来(自己由来か同種異型の)ものであっても、動物由来(異種の)であっても、遺伝子的に操作されてもよい。細胞の非制限的な例は、サイドポピュレーション(SP)細胞、Lin−CD34−、Lin−CD34+、Lin−c Kit+を含む分化した血液細胞のマーカを有さない(Lin−)細胞、5−azaを備えた間葉系幹細胞を含む間葉系幹細胞、臍帯血細胞、心臓や他の組織由来の幹細胞、全骨髄、骨髄単核球、内皮始原細胞、骨格筋芽細胞や、外とう細胞、筋肉由来細胞、G0細胞、内皮細胞、成人の心筋細胞、繊維芽細胞、平滑筋細胞、成人の5−azaを備えた心筋繊維芽細胞(cardiac fibroblasts +5−aza)、遺伝子組み換え細胞、組織再生移植物(tissue engineered grafts)、MyoD痕跡繊維芽細胞(MyoD scar fibroblasts)、ペーシング細胞(pacing cells)、胚性幹細胞クローン、胚性幹細胞、胎児や新生児の細胞、免疫学的にマスクされた細胞、および奇形腫由来細胞を含む。
上述した任意の治療薬が、医療器具のポリマコーティングや、医療器具の一部に組み込まれてもよく、あるいは医療器具のポリマコーティングや医療器具の一部に塗布されてもよい。ポリマコーティングのポリマは、生物分解性であっても非生物分解性であってもよい。好適な非生物分解性ポリマの非制限的例は、ポリスチレン;ポリスチレン無水マレイン酸;スチレン−イソブチレン−スチレンブロック共重合体(SIBS)、およびスチレン−エチレン/ブチレン−スチレン(SEBS)ブロック共重合体のようなポリイソブチレン共重合体;架橋ポリビニルピロリドンを含むポリビニルピロリドン;ポリビニルアルコール、EVAのようなビニルモノマの共重合体;ポリビニルエーテル;ポリビニル芳香族;ポリエチレンオキシド;ポリエチレンテレフタレートを含むポリエステル;ポリアミド;ポリ(メタクリル酸メチル酢酸ブチルメタクリル酸メチル)ブロック共重合体を含むポリアクリルアミド;ポリエーテルスルホンを含むポリエーテル;ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンおよび高分子量ポリエチレンを含むポリアルキレン;ポリウレタン;ポリカーボネート、シリコン;シロキサン重合体;酢酸セルロースのようなセルロースポリマ;ポリウレタン分散液(登録商標BAYHYDROL)のようなポリマ分散液;スクワレン乳液;および任意の上述のものの混合物および共重合体を含む。
Claims (20)
- フィラメントが通過して延びるループ構造体と、同ループ構造体に隣接する交差構造体と、同交差構造体を形成すべく部分的に重なる、長尺状部材の長手方向部分とを有するステント構造体と、
同ステント構造体に固定され、且つ交差構造体に隣接し、交差構造体の長尺状部材の長手方向部分間のフィラメントの移動を妨害する防護構造体と、
該ステント構造体に固定されるカバーとを備える内部人工器官であって、同内部人工器官は、前記防護構造体と前記カバーとの間に位置される前記ステント構造体の覆われない部分を備えることを特徴とする内部人工器官。 - 前記交差構造体の長尺状部材の長手方向部分は、それぞれ異なる方向に延びることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記ループ構造体は、長尺状部材の長手方向部分によって形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記ステント構造体は、管状構造体からなり、前記防護構造体は、ステント構造体に対して横断して配向されるリボン構造体からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記防護構造体は、内部人工器官の内側表面および外側表面のうち少なくともいずれか一方の少なくとも一部を制限することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記リボン構造体は、前記リボン構造体およびステント構造体が元の横断面から縮小された横断面に横断方向に圧縮されるときに、リボン構造体がステント構造体を元の横断面に復帰させるように、その横断方向の圧縮に抵抗すべく十分に制限された弾性を有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記リボン構造体はシリコン材料からなることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記シリコン材料は、200lbsf/in2(約1.38MPa)乃至圧力400lbsf/in2(約2.76MPa)の弾性率を有することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記シリコン材料は、500lbsf/in2(約3.45MPa)乃至圧力1200lbsf/in2(約8.28MPa)の引張強度を有することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記ステント構造体は横断面を有する端部と、同端部の横断面より小さい横断面を有する中間部とを含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記ループ構造体は、ステント構造体に対して長手方向の位置を有することと、
該ステント構造体は、フィラメントが通過して延びる複数の付加的なループ構造体を含むことと、同付加的なループ構造体は、ステント構造体に対してそれぞれ長手方向の位置を有することと、同それぞれの長手方向の位置は、ループ構造体の長手方向位置と同じであることと、
該ステント構造体は、部分的に重なる長尺状部材のそれぞれの長手方向部分によって形成される複数の付加的な交差構造体を有することと、同付加的な交差構造体は、該付加的なループ構造体に隣接することと、
前記リボン構造体は、付加的な交差構造体の長尺状部材の長手方向部分間のフィラメントの移動を妨害することとを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内部人工器官。 - 前記リボン構造体は前記付加的な交差構造体に隣接して位置されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記ステント構造体は、横断面、前記ループ構造体、前記付加的なループ構造体、前記交差構造体および前記付加的な交差構造体によって形成された編み込んだステント構造体を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記ループ構造体および前記付加的なループ構造体は、連続する長尺状部材の長手方向部分によって形成されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記ループ構造体および前記付加的なループ構造体は、連結される長尺状部材の長手方向部分によって形成されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記長手方向部分は、第1および第2の長手方向部分からなり、前記ループ構造体および同ループ構造体に隣接する前記交差構造体は一体的に、横断方向に面する開口部の周囲を形成し、前記交差構造体は、該開口部の周囲に沿った、唯一の交差構造体であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内部人工器官。
- 複数の長尺状部材であって、同長尺状部材は、内部人工器官の少なくとも一端にて相互に覆うように交差する長尺状部材と、
1つ以上の長尺状部材によって内部人工器官の一端に位置される少なくとも1つのループ構造体と、
同少なくとも1つのループ構造体を通過するフィラメントと、
長尺状部材の交差点の基端側に位置される防護構造体であって、同防護構造体によりフィラメントが交差点に進入することが防止される防護構造体と、
前記長尺状部材の一部分に沿って位置されるカバーとを備え、同カバーは、前記防護構造体とは分離し離間することを特徴とする内部人工器官。 - 前記防護構造体は、リボンであることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記防護構造体は、円形のバンドであることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の内部人工器官。
- 前記内部人工器官の少なくとも一端は、交差点を形成し、前記少なくとも1つのループ構造体は、1つ以上の長尺状部材によって形成されるとともに少なくとも1つの他の長尺状部材に溶接されることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の内部人工器官。
