Description
The present invention relates to a stratified scavenging type two-cycle engine used as a drive source of a small working machine such as a brush cutter.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there is known an air scavenging type two-cycle engine that supplies lead scavenging air once into a front end portion of a scavenging passage and then supplies it into a combustion chamber in a scavenging stroke (see Patent Document 1). In this engine, in order to obtain a stable rotation during idling, the valve body of the air passage is fully closed, and only the air-fuel mixture from the air-fuel mixture passage is introduced into the crank chamber, so that the air-fuel mixture has the optimum concentration for idling. The gas is supplied from the scavenging passage into the combustion chamber.
However, in the engine described above, when the throttle valve is fully opened from the idling state to perform rapid acceleration, not only the mixture passage but also the air passage is suddenly opened. At this time, the air-fuel mixture enters the combustion chamber from the air-fuel mixture passage via the crank chamber and the scavenging passage, whereas air enters the combustion chamber from the scavenging passage without passing through the crank chamber. Moreover, since the air passage is empty when idling, a large amount of air rapidly enters the combustion chamber from the air passage through the scavenging passage. As a result, a large amount of air flows into the combustion chamber earlier than the air-fuel mixture, so that the air-fuel mixture is diluted and momentarily becomes thin. Therefore, when the transition from the idling state to the rapid acceleration is started, the air-fuel mixture having a sufficient concentration necessary for the rapid acceleration is not supplied into the combustion chamber, and there are cases where acceleration failure or engine rotation is likely to occur. .
Therefore, it is conceivable to set the air-fuel mixture at the time of idling thick in advance. However, if this is done, the idling opening of the throttle valve will increase, and the air valve body will open accordingly. When air enters the combustion chamber, the combustion becomes unstable and the rotation fluctuates. In addition, when the lift-up type start operation mechanism is provided, the lift amount at the time of start-up decreases as the idling opening increases, so that the air-fuel mixture at the time of start-up does not become sufficiently thick, and the startability is deteriorated.
In addition, when the throttle valve is operated at a medium opening, the flow passage area where air does not flow inside the air passage is large because the passage cross-sectional area of the air passage downstream of the throttle valve air passage hole is large. The turbulent flow is likely to occur in the air immediately after flowing into the air passage from the air passage hole of the throttle valve, and the air flow becomes unstable due to the turbulent flow, and the engine rotation becomes unstable. is there.
An object of the present invention is to provide a stratified scavenging type two-cycle engine that can stably shift from idling to sudden acceleration while having a simple configuration.
In order to achieve the above object, a stratified scavenging two-cycle engine according to the present invention is a stratified scavenging two-cycle engine that introduces an air-fuel mixture and air from a scavenging passage into a combustion chamber, and the air is introduced into the scavenging passage. A valve body for adjusting an opening of the air passage to be supplied and the air-fuel mixture passage for supplying the air-fuel mixture to the scavenging passage; a check valve for preventing a backflow of air in the air passage; and an upstream side of the check valve And a delay member that delays the time for air to reach the scavenging passage from the valve body , and the valve body is a rotary valve in which a radial passage hole is formed in a cylinder. The member is a partition plate having a front edge extending in parallel with the axis of the rotary valve and extending in the flow direction of the air passage.
According to this stratified scavenging type two-cycle engine, when an operation of sudden acceleration from the idling state is performed, a large amount of air flows from the valve body into the air passage that is empty during idling. The flow rate is reduced by changing the flow direction by the delay member protruding to the upstream side of the check valve in the passage, and the passage length of the air passage from the valve body to the scavenging passage is increased. Therefore, the timing at which the air passing through the air passage flows into the scavenging passage is delayed, and approaches the time when the air-fuel mixture flows into the scavenging passage from the mixture passage through the crank chamber. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the air-fuel mixture entering the combustion chamber from the scavenging passage from being excessively diluted by the air and causing the acceleration failure and the engine rotation stoppage, and smoothly and rapidly accelerate. The effect of improving the rapid acceleration can be achieved by a simple configuration in which only a delay member is provided in the air air passage. Further, when the rotary valve is fully opened, air hits the leading edge of the partition plate and the flow velocity is lowered, so that the timing of flowing into the scavenging passage is delayed and smooth rapid acceleration is possible.
In addition, the rotary valve opens so that its air passage hole gradually increases in the circumferential direction with respect to the downstream air passage. Therefore, if there is no partition plate, the air is opened downstream of the air passage hole until the medium opening degree. Since the passage rapidly expands, a strong turbulent flow is generated in this part. At this time, because of the partition plate, the air passage hole communicates only with one passage region partitioned by the partition plate up to an intermediate opening (medium load), so that the rapid expansion of the air passage is substantially suppressed. Is done. As a result, it is possible to prevent a strong turbulent flow from occurring in the air that has flowed into the air passage from the air passage hole of the rotary valve to cause a rotational fluctuation, and also in this respect, the stability of the engine rotation is improved.
It is preferable that the partition plate extends from an outlet of the rotary valve to a downstream side of an intermediate position between the outlet and the check valve. As a result, the air flowing into one or both of the passage regions partitioned by the partition plate in the air passage flows to the vicinity of the check valve while being rectified in the passage region, so that air turbulence can be more reliably generated. Can be prevented.
A partition unit comprising the partition plate and a columnar holding member is fitted substantially concentrically to the air passage, and the partition plate is integrally formed with the holding member, and the hollow portion of the holding member is formed. It is preferable to have a crossing configuration. In general, the air passage and the mixture passage are provided in an insulator that functions as a spacer for heat insulation from a high temperature cylinder to the vaporizer, and this insulator is formed of a material that can obtain a high heat insulation effect, for example, a phenol resin. However, since the phenol resin is brittle, it is difficult to integrally form the partition plate. On the other hand, by separately providing a partition unit composed of a partition plate and a holding member, the partition unit can be formed of a resin such as nylon having excellent moldability, and this partition unit is fitted into the air passage. Thus, the partition plate can be easily and firmly attached to the air passage.
According to the stratified scavenging type two-cycle engine of the present invention, when a sudden acceleration operation is performed from an idling state, a large amount of air flowing into the air passage through the valve body is delayed by the delay member provided in the air passage. Thus, since the air reaches the scavenging passage, the air-fuel mixture is prevented from being excessively diluted by air, and can be accelerated smoothly and rapidly. Moreover, since only the delay member is provided in the air passage, the structure is simple and the manufacture is easy.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a front sectional view showing a stratified scavenging two-cycle engine according to an embodiment of the present invention. In the two-cycle engine, a cylinder block 1 having a

Air A from the
The air A introduced into the upper portions of the first and

Next, the configuration that is the gist of the first embodiment will be described. A standing

The
The
The
At the time of idling, the air-fuel
When an operation of sudden acceleration from the idling state is performed, as shown in FIG. 7, the
As a result, the air-fuel mixture M entering the
Further, since the standing
Further, the
Further, since the passage area at the portion where the standing
When the throttle is gradually opened from the idling state, as shown in FIG. 6, the
When the
In the fully open state of the
In order to obtain the effect of the rapid acceleration described above, as shown in FIG. 4A, the height h of the standing
FIG. 8 shows a plan cross-sectional view of the main part of the second embodiment of the present invention, which can be suitably applied to a large two-cycle engine. That is, when the flow amount of the supplied air A is large, the
