Claims (17)

前記人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングに前記入力ポートにおいて又は該入力ポートの近傍で選択的に結合されるカバー部材であって、第1の面と、該第1の面とは反対側に配置された第2の面と、該カバー部材の前記第1の面から外方に実質的に垂直に延びる複数の壁と、当該カバー部材を通って延在する入力開口とを有し、該入力開口が前記人工呼吸器の前記入力ポートにガスを供給するカバー部材と、
前記カバー部材の前記第1の面と前記人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングとの間に配置される複数のフィルタ部材であって、少なくとも1つのフィルタ部材が該フィルタ部材を介して延在する複数のスロットを含み、前記カバー部材における前記壁の少なくとも幾つかは前記スロットを介して延在することにより該フィルタ部材の前記カバー部材に対する位置を維持する、フィルタ部材と、
前記カバー部材を前記人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングに固定し、これにより、前記カバー部材及び前記複数のフィルタ部材を前記ハウジングに対して固定する固定機構であって、当該入力空気流アセンブリが前記人工呼吸器の残部を分解することを要せずに前記ハウジングから取外し可能とする固定機構と、
を有する入力空気流アセンブリ。 - 前記人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングが、外部表面と該外部表面から内方に延びるポケットとを含み、前記カバー部材は前記ポケット内に配置されるよう構成され、前記カバー部材が前記ポケット内に配置された場合に、前記カバー部材の前記第2の面が前記人工呼吸器における前記ハウジングの前記ポケットに隣接する前記外部表面に対して実質的に面一となる請求項1に記載の入力空気流アセンブリ。
- 前記カバー部材の前記壁は入力空気流経路を形成し、該入力空気流経路は前記カバー部材の前記入力開口から前記人工呼吸器の前記入力ポートに向かって延びる請求項2に記載の入力空気流アセンブリ。
- 前記カバー部材は4つの周縁を含み、前記カバー部材の前記壁は、前記4つの周縁に隣接して配置された外側壁と、該外側壁から内方に隔てられた内側壁とを含み、前記内側壁は前記人工呼吸器の前記入力ポートの少なくとも一部の周囲に延在し、前記入力空気流経路は前記外側壁と前記内側壁との間に位置される請求項3に記載の入力空気流アセンブリ。
- 前記カバー部材は前記入力開口において又は該入力開口の周囲において該カバー部材の前記第1の面から内方に延びるダクトを更に有し、該ダクトが前記ガスを前記入力空気流経路へと向ける請求項4に記載の入力空気流アセンブリ。
- 前記複数のフィルタ部材は少なくとも1つの空気フィルタを含み、この少なくとも1つの空気フィルタは、前記ガスが該少なくとも1つの空気フィルタを介して流れるように前記入力空気流経路における前記壁の間に配置される請求項3に記載の入力空気流アセンブリ。

- 前記複数のフィルタ部材は第1のフィルタ部材及び第2のフィルタ部材を有し、前記第1のフィルタ部材は前記人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングに隣接して配置され、前記第2のフィルタ部材は前記第1のフィルタ部材と前記カバー部材の前記第1の面との間に配置される請求項1に記載の入力空気流アセンブリ。
- 前記第1のフィルタ部材は第1の厚さを有し、前記第2のフィルタ部材は第2の厚さを有し、前記第2のフィルタ部材の前記第2の厚さは前記第1のフィルタ部材の前記第1の厚さよりも大きい請求項8に記載の入力空気流アセンブリ。
- 前記第1のフィルタ部材は前記人工呼吸器の前記入力ポートと整列するように構成された孔を含み、前記第1のフィルタ部材は前記カバー部材の前記第1の面に重なるように構成される請求項8に記載の入力空気流アセンブリ。
- 人工呼吸器であって、
(a)内部及び外部を有するハウジングと、
(b)前記ハウジングの前記外部から前記内部へと延びる入力ポートと、
(c)当該人工呼吸器内に配置され、ガスの流れを発生する流れ発生器と、
(d)前記ハウジングから前記ガスの流れを放出する出力ポートと、
(e)請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載の入力空気流アセンブリと、
を有する、人工呼吸器。 - 当該人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングの前記外部は外部表面及び該外部表面から内方に延びるポケットを有し、前記入力空気流アセンブリの前記カバー部材は前記ポケット内に選択的に配置され、前記カバー部材が前記ポケット内に配置された場合に、該カバー部材の前記第1の面は当該人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングにおける前記ポケットに隣接する前記外部表面と実質的に面一となる請求項11に記載の人工呼吸器。
- 人工呼吸器を補修する方法であって、この人工呼吸器は請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載の入力空気流アセンブリを有し、該入力空気流アセンブリはカバー部材と複数のフィルタ部材とを有し、前記方法が、
(a)前記入力空気流アセンブリを、前記人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングから、該人工呼吸器の残部の分解を要することなく取り外すステップと、
(b)前記人工呼吸器の前記残部を補修するステップと、
を有する方法。 - 前記補修するステップが、前記人工呼吸器の前記残部を消毒するステップを含む請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記補修するステップに続き、前記人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングに新しい入力空気流アセンブリを取り付けるステップを更に有する請求項14に記載の方法。
- (a)前記入力空気流アセンブリの少なくとも一部を交換するステップと、

(d)前記入力空気流アセンブリを前記人工呼吸器の前記ハウジングに取り付けるステップと、
を含む請求項16に記載の方法。
