Claims (12)
- 容器(34)と、
前記容器(34)に結合された複数の電極(E1〜E4)と、
1又はそれ以上の刺激リード(14)に結合するように構成された1又はそれ以上のコネクタ(36)と、
前記1又はそれ以上の刺激リード(14)に電気エネルギーを伝達し、前記電気エネルギーを前記電極(E1〜E4)に時間的に交互に戻すことにより、該電気エネルギーを前記電極(E1〜E4)に個別に戻すように構成された、前記容器(34)内に含まれる刺激回路(38)と、
を含むことを特徴とする神経刺激装置。 - 前記電極(E1〜E4)が、前記容器(34)の少なくとも一部を形成する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記電極(E1〜E4)がセグメント化されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記電気エネルギーがパルス電気エネルギーであり、前記電極(E1〜E4)へそれぞれ戻される複数の電気パルスが時間的に交互になる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記刺激回路(38)が、前記電極(E1〜E4)に複数の電気パルスをそれぞれ戻す間に前記1又はそれ以上の刺激リード(14)に単一の電気パルスを伝達して、前記それぞれの電極(E1〜E4)に戻される個々の電気パルスの持続時間を前記単一の電気パルスよりも短くするように構成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記刺激回路(38)が、前記1又はそれ以上の刺激リード(14)に前記単一の電気パルスを伝達する間に、前記電極(E1〜E4)の各々に複数の電気パルスを戻すように構成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記複数の電極(E1〜E4)が少なくとも3つの電極(E1〜E4)を含み、前記刺激回路(38)が、前記電気エネルギーを前記少なくとも3つの電極(E1〜E4)に連続して戻すように構成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記電極(E1〜E4)を選択的に活性化するように構成された制御回路(50)をさらに含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記制御回路(50)が、前記電極(E1〜E4)に戻される前記電気エネルギーを個別に調整するようにさらに構成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記電極(E1〜E4)に戻される前記電気エネルギーを個別に調整することが、前記活性化された電極(E1〜E4)に対して分割された電流を選択することを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記刺激回路(38)が、前記電極(E1〜E4)にそれぞれ結合した複数の独立した電流源(44)を含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。 - 前記刺激回路(38)が、前記神経刺激装置(12)に接続された少なくとも1つの外部リード(14)に前記電気エネルギーの一部を戻すように構成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の神経刺激装置(12)。
