Description
The present invention relates to a personal computer, and more particularly to a personal computer capable of setting a mouse function.
A mouse is used together with a keyboard for personal computer input. The function of the mouse differs depending on the concept of the operation system, and is roughly divided into a type having a single mouse button and a type having a so-called left click button and right click button. The latter mouse has become particularly sophisticated in recent years, and a mouse with a wheel provided between the left click button and the right click button, and a five-button mouse with two buttons added to the side of the mouse have been proposed.
This highly functional mouse has improved operability significantly by using various buttons with one hand operation, but for users with weakened finger functions, such as the elderly, the abundant functions of each button are used properly. It has become difficult. This becomes a problem not only in the recent multi-button mouse but also in the proper use of the right button and the left button.
The most commonly used mouse is the click button, which is usually assigned the left button. However, in the case of an elderly person, the middle finger may move when attempting to click with the right index finger, and the right click button may be pushed by mistake. Also, even when the mouse is simply moved, the right click button may be pushed unknowingly due to the natural weight of the middle finger. In such a case, it is complicated to open the pull-down menu unnecessarily during the operation of the mouse, and if one of the menu items in the menu is accidentally clicked, a confusion that cannot be collected occurs. This is a serious problem especially for elderly beginners.
A high-function mouse with a large number of buttons has software for arbitrarily setting the function of each button, and if this software is installed, a menu that can be set for each button appears on the setting screen. . In this menu, there is an item of “Invalid”, so in order to deal with the above-mentioned problem of the elderly's erroneous operation, use a high-function mouse and set this to “Invalid” for buttons that are likely to be erroneously operated. It is possible to prevent the personal computer from responding if the button is accidentally pressed.
However, high-performance mice were not originally designed for users who cannot use them. Furthermore, the function setting menu items are common to the buttons, and can be arbitrarily set independently, and there is no mutual association. The menu for each button was originally prepared for custom settings, so the settings for each button should not be correlated with each other, and it is a requirement that each button can be set independently. . Therefore, when setting a function, each button is individually selected from the menu one by one.
In addition, the above-mentioned “invalid” setting cannot be made with a normal mouse that cannot be customized. Therefore, the above-mentioned custom setting function for a multi-functional mouse is a measure that can be widely used by users who have problems with finger functions. No. In the computer operation system, consideration is given to the user who operates the mouse with the left hand, and the functions of the right button and the left button can be exchanged with one touch for all the mice.
As described above, although various proposals have been made for the mouse button function settings, even if they are more sophisticated and more convenient, there is a problem with the function of fingers such as the elderly. It is not a structure that considers some users.
On the other hand, as a proposal to make it easy for a user having a finger function problem such as an elderly person to use a mouse, for example, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-358159, the index finger and the middle finger are correctly left click button and right click. It has been proposed to provide a guide on the mouse to hit the button.
As a result, even if there is a problem with the function of the finger, the relationship between the mouse and each finger is maintained correctly, and the usability is improved. However, there is still a problem that the operation is confused by right-clicking without knowing it.
A problem to be solved by the present invention is a personal computer capable of easily setting a mouse function that can be operated without causing confusion even for a user such as an elderly person who has a problem with finger functions. To provide that program.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention can be connected to a mouse having a left button and a right button provided for a different function, and can display a function setting screen of the mouse on the display unit. A personal computer and a program therefor are improved. In other words, for mouse function setting to collectively set one button invalid combination setting in which one of the right button or the left button is invalidated and the other is a predetermined function such as a main button function. Display the function setting screen. Further, when such one button invalid combination setting is performed, the operation of the invalid button is invalidated and the execution of the predetermined function is instructed according to the operation signal from the other button. Let In addition, according to the present invention, instead of performing the one-button invalid combination setting as described above, the same function combination setting for both buttons having the same function as the right button and the left button is collectively performed. The mouse function setting display for setting is performed on the function setting screen.
Further, according to the present invention, there is prepared a two-button effective combination setting in which one of the right button and the left button of the mouse is used as a main button function and the other is used as a sub button function, for example, and different predetermined functions are used. This can be displayed on the function setting screen so that it can be set to be interchangeable with the one-button invalid combination or the same function combination setting for both buttons. When the effective combination setting of both buttons is performed, execution of predetermined functions different from each other is instructed in accordance with an operation signal from each button.
Since the present invention is configured as described above, when one-button invalid combination setting is performed, for example, when a click operation is performed with the left button, the right click is performed without knowing, and the operation is performed. The problem of causing confusion is solved. Similarly, when both buttons are set to the same function combination, the same click operation is performed regardless of which button on the mouse is operated. Therefore, it is as if a mouse having a single click button with a large area is operated. Button operation can be performed without using a nerve at the place of pressing. In any case, even a user who has a problem with finger functions, such as an elderly person, can easily use the mouse.
Since the present invention has the above-described purpose, combinations are determined in advance in any one button invalid combination setting, both button same function combination setting, and both button effective combination setting. However, unreasonable combinations where the function of the main button is not set are prohibited.
According to a specific feature of the present invention, in addition to the above, a case where a mouse having a central operation unit such as a wheel that can be further rotated and pressed between the right button and the left button is used. Yes. That is, when the one button invalid combination setting is set, the operation of the central operation unit is also invalidated collectively. In addition, when the same function setting for both buttons is set, when the operation signal of the central operation unit is received, the same function is set to execute the same function as both buttons in response thereto. In any case, the button function of the mouse is simplified, and an erroneous operation due to the presence of the central operation unit can be eliminated.
According to a specific feature of the present invention, when the one-button invalid combination setting or the two-button same function combination setting is performed, the display form is made different from that in the case of the two-button valid combination setting. As a result, when the one-button invalid combination setting or the two-button same-function combination setting is performed, for example, the display can be enlarged. I can deal with it.
According to a specific feature of the present invention, a function setting screen for one-button invalid combination setting or two-button same function combination setting is automatically displayed. As a result, even a user who is unfamiliar with the settings of the personal computer can easily change the function setting of the mouse button himself.
The present invention further improves a personal computer which can be connected to a mouse having a click button and can display a screen including a pointer and a double-click reaction area on the display unit, and a program therefor. That is, the pointer position detecting means for detecting that the pointer is in the double click reaction area, the click detecting means for detecting a single click operation of the click button, and the pointer position detecting means for detecting that the pointer is in the double click reaction area Click operation processing means for making the instruction to be executed different when the click detection means detects a single click depending on whether or not the click detection means detects a single click.
As a result, when an operator who has difficulty in double-clicking tries to operate the computer with only a single click, the normal click function becomes the normal click function in the normal area, and when the single click in the double-lick reaction area, the click position You can configure the same menu to be opened when you right-click in, and you can efficiently perform operations such as opening a file from that menu with the next click.
The present invention further improves a personal computer connectable with a mouse having a button that can be double-clicked and a program thereof. That is, an identification means for identifying a continuous operation of a button as a double click, a storage means for storing the timing of the continuous operation, and an analysis of the relationship between the identification condition of the double click operation and the identification means based on the identification means and the storage means And analyzing means for changing the identification condition of the identifying means based on the analyzing means.
As a result, even if the user is poor at double-clicking, the user's double-click trap is learned, and based on that trap, the user's operation is automatically identified as a double-click as intended. It will be corrected. On the contrary, if the double click is improved, the identification condition can be automatically corrected accordingly.
The present invention further improves a personal computer that can be connected to a mouse and can display a screen including a pointer that can be moved by operating the mouse on the display unit, and a program therefor. That is, the mouse operation detecting means for detecting that the mouse has been operated, and the pointer is displayed at a predetermined position on the display section such as the center of the screen based on the detection of the detecting means, and the pointer is subsequently moved to the original position. Pointer display control means for moving to the pointer position is provided.
As a result, even when a user whose vision has decreased or whose field of view has become narrower loses sight of the pointer, the pointer always appears at a predetermined position to which the user pays attention and moves from there to the original pointer position. You can easily discover this.
The present invention further improves a personal computer that can be connected to a mouse having a click button and can display a screen including a pointer and a click reaction area on the display unit, and a program therefor. That is, the pointer position detecting means for detecting that the pointer is in the click reaction area and the display of the click reaction area based on the fact that the pointer position detecting means has detected that the pointer is in the click reaction area Enlarged display control means for displaying an image larger than the display is provided.
As a result, even if the user's vision is reduced or it is difficult for the user to click and hold the pointer in the click reaction area by operating the mouse, the display will be enlarged once the pointer is in the click reaction area. Therefore, it is possible to easily click without removing the click reaction region.
As described above, according to the present invention, a personal computer capable of easily setting a mouse function that can be operated without causing confusion even for a user such as an elderly person who has a problem with a finger function. And its program are provided.

In the present invention, as described in detail below, the function of each
As described above, the present invention is implemented as a program for causing the personal computer main body 1 to function as a combination of means for setting mouse functions, or the personal computer main body 1 in which this program is installed. The function is controlled by the operation system of the control unit.

In each menu, selectable menus are displayed in a list, and a check mark is added to the currently set function.
Since FIG. 2 shows a state in which default settings are made, the left button function menu 21 is set to a main button in charge of functions such as click, double click, and drag and drop that are most often used. The right button function menu 22 is set as a sub button in charge of a so-called “right click” function such as displaying a menu at the click position. Further, the wheel button function menu 23 is set to “next window” for switching the window each time the button is pressed.

In addition, the mouse
An OK button 29 is further displayed in the mouse
FIG. 3 is a display screen diagram when the main / sub-button replacement setting box 24 is checked by clicking in the mouse
FIG. 4 is a display screen diagram when the sub-button function prohibition setting box 25 which is one of the features of the present invention is clicked and checked in the mouse
When the sub button function prohibition setting box 25 is clicked and checked, the mouse
Next, a function for dealing with a decline in visual acuity in the elderly and the like will be described. FIG. 5 is a display screen diagram on the
On the other hand, FIG. 6 is a display screen diagram of the
FIG. 7 and FIG. 8 are display screen diagrams showing an improvement in the display of the pointer that also copes with the decline in visual acuity in the elderly and the like. First, FIG. 7 is a display screen diagram showing pointer movement on the
However, when the visual acuity is weakened, it may be difficult to find it again in the
FIG. 8 is a display screen diagram showing the pointer movement on the
In FIG. 8, the pointer 14b is moved to the position of the pointer 14d by the mouse operation in a state where the pointer deformation setting box 33 is checked. However, as shown in FIG. Instead, the pointer 14e is instantaneously displayed at the center of the
Thus, in any case, the user pays attention to the center of the
Such a display is complicated when the pointer is not lost, so the display of FIG. 8 is displayed only when the pointer is moved after a predetermined time has elapsed since the previous operation, and the predetermined time has not elapsed since the previous operation. If the pointer is continuously moved or the click is repeated, the normal locus display as shown in FIG. 7 (however, the size of the pointer is not 14a but the enlarged size of 14b). ) Is performed.
Further, a user who does not need the mouse deformation display as shown in FIG. 8 and dislikes it can always click the pointer deformation setting box 33 in the mouse function setting window to uncheck the normal locus as shown in FIG. Display (however, the size of the pointer is not 14a, but the enlarged size of 14b) is performed.
FIG. 9 is a display screen diagram of the mouse function setting window when the partial enlargement setting box 30 is clicked and checked. At this time, the setting of each button in the mouse
FIG. 10 and FIG. 11 show this. First, in FIG. 10, only the file 41d which is the selection item indicated by the pointer 14b is enlarged, and the editing 41b and display 41c of other selection items are displayed. The display is not magnified. Also, the icons 15a, 15b, 15c and 15d are not enlarged. The pointer 14b itself is enlarged as in FIG.
In FIG. 11, only the icon 15e indicated by the pointer 14b is enlarged, and the other icons 15b, 15c, and 15d are not enlarged. Further, regarding the selection items, neither the file 41a, the edit 41b, nor the display 41c is enlarged. As described above, when the partial enlargement setting is performed as shown in FIG. 8, the display on the
FIG. 12 is a display screen diagram of the mouse function setting window when the double click
When the function of the finger is reduced, such as in elderly people, the double click operation may not be easy, and repeated failures will be extremely stressful. In such a case, the double click prohibit
First, FIG. 13 and FIG. 14 show an operation of opening a file with a single click according to a conventional operation method when double-clicking is not prohibited as in the setting of FIG. For users who do not care about double-clicking, it is certain to open the file in this way. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 13, first, when a pointer is placed on a file to be opened and a single click is performed, the icon 15e is selected and its color changes.
Next, as shown in FIG. 14, when the pointer 14b is moved to the selection item file 41d and single-clicked, a pull-down menu 32c appears. If the "Open" in that is single-clicked, the file of the icon 15e is opened.
However, this operation is complicated because the number of clicks is large and the pointer is moved. These can be a heavy burden on the elderly. Therefore, in the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 15, when the icon 15e to be double-clicked is single-clicked for the first time, a pull-down menu 43 appears at the position of the pointer 14b. Since this pull-down menu is the same as the pull-down menu 32c shown in FIG. 14, the file of the icon 15e is opened by clicking “Open” in the pull-down menu 43. That is, when the double-click prohibition is set in FIG. 12, if it is detected that the pointer 14b is on an icon that needs to be double-clicked to open, if there is a first single-click, the sub-normal case Make your PC react in the same way that you “right-click” with a button. Thus, even though the sub button function is prohibited and the double click function is also prohibited, an operation with high functionality can be performed without double click.
FIG. 16 is a display screen diagram when the sub-button function prohibition setting box 25 is clicked to check in the mouse
FIG. 17 is a display screen diagram when the all button main button setting box 26 is clicked and checked in the mouse
Also in the case of FIG. 17, since the sub button function is prohibited in terms of content, the personal computer basically performs the same operation as described with respect to the setting of FIG. The partial enlargement setting box 30 and the double click
FIG. 17 is useful for a user who is difficult to move each finger independently or who is difficult to select and press a button position of a small area stably. In other words, since the function of the main button is the same regardless of where the button is pressed, it can be used in the same manner as a mouse in an operation system that assumes a single click button with a large button area. Moreover, it is the same as the setting of FIG. 4 also in that the sub button function is not operated by mistake.
FIG. 18 is a display screen diagram when the custom setting box 27 is clicked and checked in the mouse
In addition, in the custom setting of FIG. 18, not only the operation of entering the menu selection after clicking the custom setting box 27 but also any one of the left button function menu 21, the right button function menu 22, and the wheel button function menu 23 suddenly. It is also possible by clicking the item in the menu and checking it. In this case, the combination of the selected items is a combination of default settings and a combination determined in advance in the main / sub button replacement setting box 24, the sub button function prohibition setting box 25, and the all button main button setting box 26. Is automatically checked in the custom setting box 27 when it is detected that the above does not apply.
On the contrary, in FIG. 18, in the case where custom setting is performed using the left button function menu 21, the right button function menu 22, and the wheel button function menu 23, the combination of items selected in each menu is When the default setting or main / sub button replacement setting box 24, sub button function prohibition setting box 25, or all button main button setting box 26 matches one of the predetermined combinations, the custom setting box 27 is checked. It automatically disappears and if there is a corresponding setting box, it is automatically checked here.
In this way, the combination of the three buttons is always checked to grasp the presence / absence of a predetermined combination. In addition, in the combination of predetermined settings including default settings, the function of the main button is always assigned to either the right button or the left button, and the function of the main button is assigned to either the right button or the left button. Combinations where is not set are prohibited.
The setting in the mouse function setting window gives priority to the setting made later in time, and when the previous setting and the subsequent setting contradict each other, the previous setting is automatically canceled. For example, in the state where the sub button function prohibition setting box 25 is checked as shown in FIG. 4, when the sub button is clicked and checked in the right button function menu 22 as shown in FIG. The check in the button function prohibition setting box 25 disappears automatically. In addition, when clicking on “Forward” in the wheel button function menu 23 and checking it, as described above, such a combination does not correspond to any of the predetermined combinations, so at this time, automatic The custom setting box 27 is automatically checked.
FIG. 19 is a display screen diagram showing the display of the mouse
When a mouse having no custom setting function is connected to the personal computer main body 1, the custom setting box 27, the left button function menu 21, the right button function menu 22, and the wheel button function menu 23 are not displayed as shown in FIG. That is, arbitrary setting is not possible, and only combinations of button function settings determined in advance by checking the main / sub button replacement setting box 24, the sub button function prohibition setting box 25, and the all button main button setting box 26 are possible. It becomes.
Even in the case of FIG. 19, the main / sub button replacement setting box 24, the sub button function prohibition setting box 25, the all button main button setting box 26, the partial enlargement setting box 30, and the double click
FIG. 20 is a flowchart of functions executed in the
Next, the process proceeds to step S4, where it is confirmed whether or not the setting has been changed in the mouse
Next, in step S8, it is confirmed whether or not the setting change is a check of the all button main button setting box 26. If the answer is no, the process proceeds to step S10, and it is confirmed whether or not the setting change is a check to the main / sub button replacement setting box 24.
If the answer to step S10 is yes, in step S12, processing for handling the right button click signal as the main button click signal is performed. Next, in step S14, a process for handling the left button click signal as a sub button click signal is performed, and the process proceeds to step S16. If the answer is no in step S10, the process directly proceeds to step S16.
In this way, in steps S10, S12 and S14, the main button and the left button are exchanged between the right button and the left button according to the setting. This is a process in the operation system software, and in the application software stage, Regardless of whether the button is clicked or the left button is clicked, processing is performed only by clicking the primary button or the secondary button.
In step S <b> 16, it is confirmed whether the setting change is a check on the sub button function prohibition setting box 25. If the answer is yes, a process of invalidating the wheel is first performed in step S18. As a result, even if the
Next, in step S20, the state of the main / sub button replacement setting box 24 is confirmed again. Then, if it is confirmed that the main / sub button replacement setting box 24 is not checked, processing for invalidating the right button signal is performed in step S22. As a result, even if the right button is pressed by mistake, the effect is not reflected in the application software. This corresponds to the setting in FIG.
On the other hand, if it is confirmed in step S20 that the main / sub button replacement setting box 24 is checked, a process of invalidating the left button signal is performed in step S24. As a result, even if the left button is pressed by mistake, the effect is not reflected in the application software. In either case, the secondary button becomes invalid. This corresponds to the setting in FIG.
As described above, when the sub button function prohibition is set, the process of disabling the function of the
On the other hand, if the setting change is a check of the all-button main button setting box 26 in step S8, processing for setting all buttons as main buttons is performed in step S28. This corresponds to the setting in FIG. Then, control goes to a step S26.
In step S26, a process to be automatically changed is set in association with the process of invalidating the sub button function as in step S22, step S24, or step S28. This corresponds to the processing described with reference to FIGS. 6 to 15, and details thereof will be described later. When the process of step S26 ends, the process proceeds to the setting result display of step S30.
If it is confirmed in step S16 that the setting change is not a check of the sub button function prohibition setting box 25, the process proceeds to step S32, and whether or not the setting change is a check of the custom setting box 27. Is confirmed. In this step S16, in the left button function menu 21, the right button function menu 22 and the wheel button function menu 23, the main / sub button replacement setting box 24, the sub button function prohibition setting box 25 and the all button main button setting box 26 are preset. Also check whether items that do not correspond to any of the determined combinations are checked. If any answer is yes, it means that the custom setting has been performed, so the process proceeds to step S34, the custom setting is performed as set, and the process proceeds to the setting result table in step S30.
On the other hand, if the setting change is not a custom setting in step S32, the process directly proceeds to step S30. This case corresponds to the case where there is a setting change in step S4, the replacement of the main / sub button is confirmed in step S10, and it is confirmed that the sub button function is not prohibited in step S16.
If it is confirmed in step S4 that no setting has been changed, the process directly proceeds to step S30. In this case, the result is displayed with the mouse function setting window open.
In step S30, the above setting result is displayed on the mouse
In step S36, it is confirmed whether the OK button is clicked or the cancel button is clicked. When it is confirmed in step S36 that the OK button has been clicked, the settings as displayed in step S30 are validated, the settings confirmed for the user confirmed in step S2 are saved, and the flow ends. If it is confirmed in step S36 that the cancel button has been clicked, the flow returns to the setting state before starting the flow of FIG. 20 and the flow ends.
On the other hand, when neither the OK button nor the cancel button is confirmed in step S36, the process returns to step S4 to prepare for further setting changes. Thereafter, steps S4 to S36 are repeated until it is confirmed in step S36 that the OK button or the cancel button is clicked.
FIG. 21 is a flowchart showing details of step S26 in FIG. First, in step S42, it is confirmed whether or not the setting change is a check of the partial enlargement setting box 30. If the answer is yes, partial enlargement processing setting is performed in step S44. This corresponds to the setting in FIG. 9 and means setting for performing the display in FIGS. 10 and 11 in accordance with the movement of the pointer. If the answer to step S42 is no, an overall enlargement setting is made in step S46. This corresponds to the setting of FIG. 4 and the like, and means that the display of FIG. 6 is set.
In the above, step S44 is a setting of processing performed when the mouse is moved, but the setting of step S46 is immediately reflected in the display processing.
In any case, the process proceeds to step S48, and the pointer deformation process is set. This corresponds to a process for causing the display as shown in FIG. 8 to be performed when the pointer is moved by operating the mouse. This will be further described later.
In step S50, it is confirmed whether the setting change is a check on the double-click
FIG. 22 is a flowchart of functions executed in the
If the answer to step S66 is no, the pointer is not deformed and the process directly proceeds to step S70. At this time, the pointer movement is displayed according to FIG. However, the size of the pointer is the same as 14b or 14d in FIG.
The flow in FIG. 22 starts when the movement of the mouse is detected as described above. If the execution of step S68 is slow, the movement from the enlargement pointer 14e at the center of the screen to the original pointer 14d in FIG. There is a possibility of confusion between the actual pointer movement based on the movement and the display becomes difficult to understand. Therefore, the flow of FIG. 22 is started in response to a slight movement at the time of starting the mouse, and step S68 is quickly executed to complete the movement from the position of the enlargement pointer 14e to the original position of the pointer 14d. It is desirable to display the sense that the pointer movement based on the movement of the mouse starts from the original pointer position 14d. In other words, in FIG. 8, it is desirable that the movement from the pointer 14e to the pointer 14d is performed with no substantial visual shift between the positions of the pointer 14b and the pointer 14d.
Note that in order to perform the pointer deformation display execution of S68 before the substantial movement of the mouse, in addition to the case where the flow of FIG. 22 is started by detecting the start of the mouse as described above, it is detected that the mouse has been lifted. You may start. Specifically, in the case of a mechanical mouse, it is determined that the mouse has been lifted by detecting that the ball has come off the roller. In the case of an optical mouse, it is determined that the mouse has been lifted by a change in the intensity of light incident on the light receiving unit.
Further, in order to distinguish the movement from the position of the enlargement pointer 14e to the original pointer 14d and the actual pointer movement based on the movement of the mouse, in order to avoid confusion, a sound is generated during execution of the former, Sometimes the mouse color may be changed to a different color.
If the user does not like the pointer deformation display as described above, the user clicks the pointer deformation setting box 33 in the mouse
In step S70, it is confirmed whether or not the pointer is at a specific position for accepting a click operation such as an icon or a button. If it is in the icon / button position, the process advances to step S72 to check whether or not the partial enlargement setting box 30 is set to be checked. If the answer is yes, the process proceeds to step S74, the icon / button enlarged display is performed, and the process ends. This corresponds to performing the display of FIG. 10 and FIG.
If the pointer is not at the icon / button position in step S70, the process is immediately terminated. If it is confirmed in step S72 that the partial enlargement setting box 30 is not checked, the processing is immediately terminated.
If it is confirmed in step S62 that the sub button function prohibition setting box 25 is set so that the check is not entered, the process proceeds to step S76, and normal pointer movement display is performed. This corresponds to performing the display of FIG. The size of the pointer 14a or 14c is also as shown in FIG. 7, and there is no interlocking expansion corresponding to visual impairment.
FIG. 23 is a flowchart of functions executed in the
As described above, only when all the answers are yes through the confirmation procedures of steps S82, S84, S86 and S88, as shown in FIG. The menu is displayed at the click position according to the case where “click” is performed.
FIG. 24 is a flowchart of functions executed in the
When it is detected by the signal from the input / output buffer of FIG. 1 that the click has been repeated in the main button within a predetermined short time, the flow of FIG. 24 starts. Note that the predetermined short time set to start this flow is sufficiently longer than the set interval for recognizing double clicks, and the operator who grasped the double click failure has been grasped. You can learn the habit of.
When the flow of FIG. 24 starts as described above, first, in step S102, it is confirmed whether or not the double click
In other words, having reached Step 110 through Steps S102, S104, S106, and S108 means that this is attempted without prohibiting double-clicking, and consecutive clicks within the set interval to be recognized as double-clicking fail. However, it is interpreted that the operation of the user who has attempted to double-click again immediately after the previous double-click failure has occurred due to the deterioration of the finger function that needs to inhibit the sub-button function. The process of step S110 and subsequent steps is to learn such user's operation habits and to automatically correct the personal computer settings based on the learning result so that the double-click is more likely to succeed.
First, in step S110, the operation interval in the operation extracted through steps S102, S104, S106, and S108 is stored. The stored operation intervals are accumulated. Next, in step S112, if there is an approximation from a plurality of accumulated operation intervals including what is newly stored this time, it is extracted. Then, the number of occurrences of the interval extracted in step S114 is counted.
In step S116, it is confirmed whether or not the approximate number thus counted is a predetermined number or more. If the count number exceeds the predetermined number, the process proceeds to step S118. That is, if the answer to step S116 is yes, it means that the user does not fall within the set interval with the current setting, but has the ability to perform continuous clicks with a relatively approximate interval with good reproducibility. Therefore, in step S118, the setting interval for recognizing the double click is set to be extended to an interval longer than the approximate interval recognized in step S112. This increases the probability of success when the next double-click is attempted.
In step S120, the received click is recognized as a one-click operation, and the process ends. The setting interval is extended in step S118, but this is for the next operation, and this operation is only for processing as a one-click operation.
If it is confirmed in step S102 that the double-click prohibition setting is set, or if it is confirmed in step S106 that the sub-button function prohibition setting is not set, the process immediately proceeds to step S120 and one-click is performed. Process the operation. Similarly, when it is confirmed in step S108 that the predetermined time or more has elapsed since the previous operation, or when the count number has not reached the predetermined number in step S116, the process proceeds to step S120 and the one-click operation process is performed. I do. In other words, the setting interval is not changed in these cases.
On the other hand, when it is confirmed in step S104 that the continuous click has been performed within the set interval, the process proceeds to step S122, and the executed operation interval is stored. Next, in step S124, the accumulated intervals including those newly stored this time are averaged. In step S126, it is confirmed whether or not there is a predetermined abnormality deviation between the average interval and the set interval. The case where there is a difference because the double click has been successful means that the operation interval as a result is sufficiently shorter than the set interval. Therefore, if the answer to step S126 is yes, after setting the setting interval to be shorter in step S128, the process proceeds to step S130 and double-clicking is performed. The shortening of the setting interval in step S128 is to prevent a normal click repeated in a short time from being mistaken for a double click.
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S126 that there is no divergence, the setting interval is not changed and the process proceeds to step S130 and a double click is executed.
In any of the above cases, the process is terminated by executing a double click. Needless to say, the shortening of the setting interval in step S128 is reflected when the next operation is detected.
The processing from step S122 to step S128 is automatic correction of the setting interval by learning, but it functions regardless of the setting of prohibition of the sub button function. In other words, in the case of shortening, not only can a user who prohibits the sub-button function become proficient in double-clicking, but the normal setting interval for the normal user is the normal setting for that user. It can cope with the case where this is automatically shortened when it deviates from the double click speed.
