Description
The present invention uses an upper blowing lance having a burner function, and heats the powder refining agent with a burner flame formed below the tip of the upper blowing lance, while the powder refining agent is inactivated via the upper blowing lance. The present invention relates to a method for subjecting hot metal to oxidation refining, such as dephosphorization or decarburization, by spraying molten iron in a converter with gas and applying heat from a powder refining agent heated by a burner flame to the hot metal.
From the viewpoint of environmental protection, it is an urgent task to reduce CO 2 emissions in the steel manufacturing process. In the steelmaking process, the amount of cold iron such as iron scrap used as the iron source is increased to lower the hot metal content rate. Countermeasures such as making it happen are being studied and implemented. This is because when manufacturing steel products, hot metal production in a blast furnace requires a large amount of energy for reducing and melting iron ore, and at the same time emits a large amount of CO 2 while This is because the iron source only needs heat of melting, and when the cold iron source is used in the steel making process, the amount of energy used and the amount of CO 2 generated can be reduced.
However, in the steel manufacturing process consisting of a combination of a blast furnace and a converter, the heat source for melting a cold iron source such as iron scrap mainly consists of sensible heat of hot metal, combustion heat of carbon and silicon in the hot metal, A large amount of cold iron source cannot be dissolved. In addition, dephosphorization treatment (also referred to as “preliminary dephosphorization treatment”) is carried out as a pretreatment for hot metal, and not only a reduction in hot metal temperature due to the addition of the treatment process but also carbon and silicon in the hot metal. Is oxidized by dephosphorization treatment, and its concentration decreases, which is disadvantageous for the dissolution of the cold iron source. The hot metal dephosphorization process is a process in which the dephosphorization process is performed in advance in the hot metal stage before the decarburization and refining of the hot metal in the converter to remove a certain amount of phosphorus in the hot metal.
Thus, in hot metal dephosphorization processing and converter decarburization refining, a number of methods have been proposed for increasing the thermal margin of hot metal and molten steel in order to dissolve more cold iron sources. For example,
In
Patent Document 3 discloses that a main hole for oxygen ejection and a supply flow path for oxygen gas ejected from the main hole are independent of each other, and the fuel gas, oxygen gas, and refining flux can be ejected simultaneously. Method for promoting hatching of refining flux by allowing refining flux to pass through the flame while forming a flame at the front end of the subhole independently of an oxygen gas jet using an upper blowing lance having a subhole Has been proposed.
However, the above prior art has the following problems.
That is, in
In
In Patent Document 3, the flow rate of the fuel gas and the combustion oxygen gas is kept constant when the flame is formed below the upper blowing lance with the fuel gas and the oxygen gas, and the oxidation refining treatment is performed in the converter using the upper blowing lance. When performing, the lance height of the top blowing lance may be changed during the oxidation refining. In such a case, the flow rates of the fuel gas and the combustion oxygen gas are kept constant. There is a risk that the lance height will vary greatly and the powdery refining agent will not heat up effectively. In order to form a flame that reaches the hot metal bath surface below the top blowing lance, it is necessary to control the flow rate of the combustion oxygen gas according to the flow rate of the refining oxygen gas and the shape of the top blowing lance. Patent Document 3 does not consider this point at all. Further, in Patent Document 3, oxygen gas and a refining agent (such as iron oxide, iron ore, and ironworks generated dust) containing metal and carbon are simultaneously passing through one channel, and oxygen gas and A part of the refining agent may react to generate heat and burn in the flow path, which poses a problem in safety management of equipment.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances. The object of the present invention is to use an upper blowing lance having a burner function, and to convert a powder refining agent with a burner flame through the upper blowing lance. When the molten iron is sprayed onto the molten iron and subjected to oxidative refining such as dephosphorization and decarburization, the shape and lance height of the top blowing lance are not affected, and the flow of the top blowing lance Without worrying about heat generation and combustion, combustion gas can be efficiently burned to stably form a burner flame that reaches the hot metal bath surface in the furnace, thereby blending cold iron sources such as iron scrap It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for refining hot metal in a converter that can stably increase the ratio.

According to the present invention, the flow rate of the oxidizing gas for combustion for forming the burner flame below the top blow lance tip is controlled so as to be in a range satisfying the above equation (1). Regardless of the lance height, it is possible to stably burn the combustion gas and stably form a flame long enough to reach the hot metal bath surface, which ensures optimal heat transfer to the powdered smelting agent. As a result, the thermal margin of the hot metal is improved and the mixing ratio of the cold iron source such as iron scrap can be greatly increased by the oxidative refining of the hot metal in the converter. In addition, since the efficiency of heat application to the hot metal is stably maintained high, the amount of carbonized material for carburizing can be reduced, and the effect of reducing CO 2 emissions is also exhibited.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be specifically described.
The present invention is directed to oxidation refining performed by supplying oxidizing gas for refining from a top blow lance to hot metal contained in a converter, and this oxidation refining is currently performed before decarburization refining. Hot metal dephosphorization treatment and hot metal decarburization refining performed as treatments are performed, and the present invention can be applied to any of these. In this case, in hot metal decarburization refining, either hot metal that has been previously dephosphorized or hot metal that has not been dephosphorized may be used. The present invention can be applied to the case where the present invention is applied to hot metal dephosphorization treatment and the hot metal refined by the dephosphorization treatment is decarburized and refined in a converter. As the oxidizing gas for refining, oxygen gas (industrial pure oxygen), oxygen-enriched air, or a mixed gas of oxygen gas and rare gas is used, but oxygen gas is generally used.
The hot metal used in the present invention is a hot metal produced in a blast furnace, and this hot metal is received in a hot metal transfer container such as a hot metal ladle or a topped car and transferred to a converter for performing dephosphorization treatment and decarburization refining. To do. When performing the dephosphorization process, in order to efficiently perform the dephosphorization process with a small amount of the lime-based medium solvent, the silicon in the hot metal is removed in advance before the dephosphorization process (referred to as “hot metal desiliconization process”). In addition, it is preferable to reduce the silicon content of the hot metal to 0.20% by mass or less, desirably 0.10% by mass or less. When the desiliconization process is performed, the slag generated during the desiliconization process is discharged before the dephosphorization process.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described by taking hot metal dephosphorization treatment in a converter as an example. The hot metal dephosphorization process can also be performed in a hot metal transfer container such as a hot metal pan or a topped car, but the converter has a larger freeboard than these hot metal transfer containers and can vigorously stir the hot metal. Thus, not only the melting ability of the cold iron source is high, but also the dephosphorization treatment can be carried out quickly with a small amount of lime-based medium solvent used. Phosphorus treatment is performed.

FIG. 4 shows the radius (R 1 ) of the collision surface of the flame with the stationary hot metal bath surface and the oxidizing gas for refining injected from one refining oxidizing
3 and 4, the central angle of a stationary hot metal impact surface of the flame (phi 1) and the center angle in the still hot metal collision face of refining oxidizing gas (phi 2) is, equation (5) and the ( 6) It is derived geometrically as an equation.
S=(φ1/2×R1 2+φ2/2×R2 2)-{R1cos(φ1/2)+R2cos(φ2/2)}×R1sin(φ1/2)
=(φ1/2×R1 2+φ2/2×R2 2)-R1 2sin(φ1/2)cos(φ1/2)-R2 2sin(φ2/2)cos(φ2/2)
=1/2×{R1 2(φ1-sinφ1)+R2 2(φ2-sinφ2)} …(8)
ri=重なり面積(n×S)/火炎の面積
=S×n/πR1 2
={(φ1-sinφ1)+(R2/R1)2×(φ2-sinφ2)}×n/2π …(2)
The interference rate (r i ) is the ratio of the overlapping area (S × n) of the flame and the oxidizing gas for refining to the flame area. Here area S, S = is calculated by the following equation (8) (φ 1/2 × R 1 2 +
= (Φ 1/2 × R 1 2 +
= 1/2 × {R 1 2 (φ 1 -sin φ 1 ) + R 2 2 (φ 2 -sin φ 2 )} (8)
Therefore, interference ratio (r i) is calculated by the following equation (2).
r i = overlapping area (n × S) / flame area = S × n / πR 1 2
= {(Φ 1 −sinφ 1 ) + (R 2 / R 1 ) 2 × (φ 2 −sinφ 2 )} × n / 2π (2)
In this way, equations (2) to (6) are derived.
By supplying the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas for combustion under the conditions shown in the above equation (1), the burner flame is brought to the vicinity of the bath surface of the
When the value of “G / G st + 0.81 × r i ” shown in the equation (1) is less than 0.89, unburned fuel gas remains, and the heat receiving efficiency to the
The reason for the interference ratio for the formation of a flame (r i) is affected, when refining oxidizing gas interferes with the flame is by refining oxidizing gas serves as combustion of the fuel gas. Even if the lance shape is the same, the interference rate (r i ) increases as the lance height increases. In the lance shape, the inclination angle (α) of the refining oxidizing
The value lance shape and lance height is 1.0 or more interfering factor (r i), resulting in the tip end of the lance 3 blown on the peak flame temperature, the

The lime-based medium solvent sprayed on the hot metal bath surface as the
When iron oxide such as iron ore or mill scale is used as the
Further, as the
Further, the
Thereafter, when the phosphorus concentration in the
As described above, according to the present invention, flames corresponding to various lance shapes and lance heights can be adjusted by adjusting the flow rate of the oxidizing gas for combustion to form a burner flame below the top lance tip. The length can be controlled. As a result, it is possible to continuously and stably heat the
