Description
安全ベントの外周面を囲む主ガスケット及びCID外周面を囲む補助ガスケットを含むキャップアセンブリにおいて、
前記主ガスケットは、前記補助ガスケットによって支持されて前記安全ベントと離隔された空間を形成しないことを特徴とするキャップアセンブリを提供する。
前記主ガスケットは、前記補助ガスケットによって支持されて前記安全ベントと離隔された空間を形成しないことを特徴とするキャップアセンブリに関するものである。
以下では、本発明の前記実施例の性能を照明するための実験に対して設明する。
図3に示したようなキャップアセンブリ構造で製作した電池のたるみ量と図1aに示したような従来のキャップアセンブリ構造で製作した電池のたるみ量を測定した。たるみ量は、安全ベントから離隔されたガスケット間の距離のうち最大距離に該当することに定義し、その単位はmmである。
実施例及び比較例のキャップアセンブリに電解液を注入し、これに窒素ガスを利用して電池内を加圧して電解液が漏液されるか否かを確認した。注入されたガスがキャップアセンブリに加える圧力は、略18kgf/cm2であった。
実験条件は、略1m高さから木床に円筒型電池を落下した後、電解液の漏液可否を確認した。電池を落とせる方向において、上部分(キャップアセンブリが配置された部分)を下向きにして落下すること;電池の側面を下向きにして落下すること;及び電池の上部分を上向きにして落下することの3つ方法を使用した。前記3つの方法を一回りを1サイクルにして漏液有無を確認した。実験は、計1サイクル行い、使用された電池は実施例、比較例各々30個ずつ使用した。
Claims (5)
- 安全ベントの外周面を囲む主ガスケット及びCID(電流遮断素子)外周面を囲む補助ガスケットを含むキャップアセンブリにおいて、
前記主ガスケットは、前記補助ガスケットによって支持されて前記安全ベントと離隔された空間を形成しないことを特徴とするキャップアセンブリ。 - 前記主ガスケットの一部は、前記CID上に配置され、前記CID上に配置された前記主ガスケットの一部を前記補助ガスケットが支持することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のキャップアセンブリ。
- 前記補助ガスケットは、前記主ガスケットに締り嵌め状態で嵌め合わされて前記CID外周面を囲み、前記主ガスケットが内周側面から補助ガスケットにより支持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のキャップアセンブリ。
- 前記主ガスケットと前記安全ベントとの離隔量は、0.12mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れか1項に記載のキャップアセンブリ。
- 請求項1から4のうち何れか一項のキャップアセンブリを備える円筒型二次電池。
