シート防水はアスファルト防水や塗膜防水に比べて普及度が低く、工業化住宅に限られている。かつて、避難ハッチは鉄骨やRC在来工法の大規模共同住宅に使用されることが多かったため、小規模の共同住宅が多い工業化住宅の中では使用頻度が低かった。ところが、昨今は工業化住宅のシステムを3階以上の大規模物件に用いることが増加傾向にあり、本件考案によって、従来からある避難ハッチとシート防水の問題を解決するニーズが高まることが予測される。

合成樹脂製の防水シートからなる防水層を有する外部床に穿設され、上端が床面から突出した筒状の枠が嵌め込まれた開口まわりの防水処理に用いられる防水枠であって、
水平片と、該水平片の内側縁から上方に屈折した起立片と、該起立片上端から内側且つ下方に屈折した折り返し片と、を備え、
前記起立片の高さは前記筒状の枠の床面からの突出寸法に対応し、
外面側が前記防水シートと同一材料でコーティングされたことを特徴とする防水枠。
