Description
The present invention relates to a light source device and an illumination device.
In recent years, lighting devices using solid-state light sources such as LEDs have been used, and the illumination color is changed by controlling the light emission intensity of each color using three types of LEDs of red, green, and blue, taking advantage of its characteristics. An illumination light source and an illumination device that can be used have been developed (Patent Document 1). In this case, since it is physically impossible to install the three types of LEDs in the same place, they are arranged at a distance from each other. Therefore, in an illuminating device that controls light distribution using a lens such as a spotlight, for example, color breakage occurs at the end of the irradiation region due to the difference in the position of the light source, that is, the difference in the optical axis.
In order to solve this problem, for example, a light source device using a disk-like rotating body (hereinafter referred to as a fluorescent rotating body) in which a phosphor layer as shown in
FIG. 2 is a view showing a light source device using the
In this light source device, although the
However, when the
As a method of changing the illumination color, it is conceivable to control the rotation speed of the fluorescent rotator for each color, but it is difficult to control the speed of the fluorescent rotator rotating at a high speed by a motor. Even so, expensive motors and complex control systems are required.
The present invention can prevent color breakup using a fluorescent rotator, and even when a fluorescent rotator is used, the illumination color can be easily changed without requiring a complicated control system. In particular, in the invention according to
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
The first embodiment of the present invention includes a solid-state light source that emits ultraviolet light and a reflection-type fluorescent rotator that can rotate around a rotation axis, and the reflection-type fluorescent rotator includes ultraviolet light from the solid-state light source. In the light source device having a plurality of phosphor regions each having a phosphor layer that emits fluorescent light of different colors upon incidence of light, the reflective fluorescent rotator is conical, and When an arc is drawn on the reflective fluorescent rotator with a radius in a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis around the rotational axis of the conical reflective fluorescent rotator, the arcs corresponding to the plurality of phosphor regions The plurality of phosphor regions are arranged such that the ratio of the upper length changes depending on the radius, and the positional relationship between the conical reflection type fluorescent rotator and the solid state light source is variable. Variable means are provided It is characterized by a door.
More specifically, when a circular arc is drawn on the reflective fluorescent rotator with a radius in a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis around the rotational axis of the conical reflective fluorescent rotator, the plurality of phosphors In the reflection type fluorescent rotator, at least one of the boundary lines dividing the plurality of phosphor regions is curved so that the ratio of the length on the arc corresponding to the region changes depending on the radius. It has become.
The phosphor region is a region having a phosphor layer. When an adjustment layer or the like is provided corresponding to the phosphor layer as will be described later, the phosphor region is provided together with the phosphor layer. It shall refer to what is included. In the following, for the sake of convenience, the same reference numerals are assigned to the phosphor layers and the corresponding phosphor regions.
FIG. 3 is a diagram (schematic front view) showing a configuration example of the light source device according to the first embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 3, the
Further, in the
When the reflection type fluorescent rotator 1 is used, the transmitted light from the
The conversion efficiency from excitation light to fluorescence in the phosphor layer in the phosphor region is about 50% to 99%, although it varies depending on the phosphor material forming the phosphor layer. Therefore, in the present invention, it is necessary to design the fluorescent rotator 1 taking this conversion efficiency into consideration. As a method of adjusting the transmittance or reflectance of the

As the variable means 6 for changing (changing) the positional relationship between the conical reflection type fluorescent rotating body 1 and the solid
3 to 5, the
That is, the principle that the illumination color can be changed by the
Further, in the configurations of FIGS. 3 to 5, since the conical reflection type fluorescent rotator 1 is used, it is excited by ultraviolet light (excitation light) emitted from the solid

3 to 5 show the case where one solid
Color break phenomenon is a phenomenon in which the individual colors of red, green and blue light emission that should originally be observed as white are visually recognized, and as long as they are normally observed in a bright room, the color break phenomenon will not occur. However, the color break phenomenon occurs when observing in a dark room or when looking away from the light source or lighting place suddenly.
If the rotational speed of the fluorescent rotator is increased and the repetition cycle of light emission is shortened, the color break phenomenon will not occur to some extent, but it may be unpleasant for other reasons, such as an increase in motor noise due to an increase in the rotational speed. End up.
In order to prevent the color break phenomenon without increasing the rotation speed of the fluorescent rotator so as to cause an increase in motor sound, etc., a plurality of phosphors of the fluorescent rotator are simultaneously used as much as possible by using a plurality of solid state light sources. It is better to irradiate the layer. Moreover, when illuminating a plurality of locations of the fluorescent rotator using a plurality of solid light sources, a large amount of illumination light can be obtained.
FIG. 6 is a diagram (schematic front view) showing a configuration example when a plurality of solid-state light sources are used in the light source device according to the first embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 6, the same parts as those in FIG. Referring to FIG. 6, the

As the variable means 6 for changing (changing) the positional relationship between the conical reflection type fluorescent rotating body 1 and the solid

Further, in the configuration of FIGS. 6 to 8, when the fluorescent rotator 1 is rotated by the
For example, when the fluorescent rotator 1 having the three red, green, and

Hereinafter, the
In the
6 to 8, the solid
In addition, as the fluorescent rotator 1,
The phosphor layers 2a, 2b, and 2c are excited by ultraviolet light having a wavelength of about 380 nm to about 400 nm. For example, the
4 and 7, only the boundary line 3c that divides the red and
6 to 8, the three solid
A light source device according to a second embodiment of the present invention includes a solid-state light source that emits visible light, and a reflective fluorescent rotator that can rotate around a rotation axis. The reflective fluorescent rotator includes the solid-state light source. At least one phosphor region that includes a phosphor layer that is excited by visible light from the light source and emits fluorescence having a wavelength longer than the wavelength of visible light from the solid-state light source, and non-fluorescence that is not provided with the phosphor layer Each of the body regions is divided into regions, the reflection type fluorescent rotator is conical, and rotates about the rotation axis of the conical reflection type fluorescent rotator. When each arc is drawn on the reflective fluorescent rotator with a certain radius in a plane perpendicular to the axis, the ratio of the length on the arc corresponding to each area changes depending on the radius. Is arranged, and further, said conical shape Varying means is characterized by being provided with the reflective fluorescent rotator a positional relation between the solid-state light source to the variable.
More specifically, when an arc is drawn on the reflective fluorescent rotator with a certain radius in a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis around the rotational axis of the conical reflective fluorescent rotator, each region (at least 1 At least one phosphor region and non-phosphor region so that the ratio of the length on the arc corresponding to one phosphor region and each non-phosphor region) varies depending on the radius. At least one boundary line that divides each region is curved. In addition, this means that, for example, when using a fluorescent rotator formed of two regions of one type of phosphor region and a non-phosphor region, only one of the two boundary lines dividing the two regions, Or it means that both are curved.
The non-phosphor region refers to a region that does not have a phosphor layer.
FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of the light source device according to the second embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 10, the same reference numerals are given to the same portions as in FIG. Referring to FIG. 10, the
In the
When the reflection
The conversion efficiency from excitation light to fluorescence in the phosphor layer in the phosphor region is about 50% to 99%, although it varies depending on the phosphor material forming the phosphor layer. Therefore, in the present invention, it is necessary to design the

As the variable means 6 for changing (changing) the positional relationship between the conical reflection type
10 to 12, the
That is, the principle that the illumination color can be changed by the

That is, in the configurations shown in FIGS. 10 to 12, the cone-shaped reflection type
10 to 12 show a case where one solid
End up.
In order to prevent the color break phenomenon without increasing the rotation speed of the fluorescent rotator so as to cause an increase in motor noise, etc., multiple areas of the fluorescent rotator are simultaneously formed as much as possible by using multiple solid light sources. It is good to irradiate. Moreover, when illuminating a plurality of locations of the fluorescent rotator using a plurality of solid light sources, a large amount of illumination light can be obtained.

Hereinafter, the
In the
Here, in the configuration of FIGS. 13 to 15, the solid
The
The phosphor layers 42a and 42b are excited by blue light having a wavelength of about 440 nm to about 470 nm. For example, the
In the above-described example of the second embodiment of the present invention, the three solid-
In the above example, the fluorescent rotator shown in FIGS. 14 and 16 is used. However, as the conical reflection type fluorescent rotator in the second embodiment, for example, one fluorescent region and one fluorescent region are used. It is also possible to employ a configuration in which two solid light sources that emit visible light (for example, blue light) are used as a solid light source, using a reflection type fluorescent rotator formed in two regions of two non-phosphor regions. FIG. 17 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of such a light source device. In FIG. 17, the same reference numerals are given to the same portions as in FIG. Referring to FIG. 17, the
In the configurations of FIGS. 17 and 18, the illumination color can be changed based on the same principle as described in FIGS. That is, by rotating the conical reflection-

The
Further, the
The
