Claims (2)
- 実質的に単分散の液滴を生成する方法であって、
当該方法は、1組のチャネル内に第1流体及び非混和性である第2流体を供給する工程であって、前記第2流体は前記第1流体の周りを取り囲み、かつ前記チャネルを満たすことで、複合噴流を構成する、工程を有し、
前記複合噴流は入口チャネルを通過して広い空洞へ入り込み、
該広い空洞へ入り込むと、前記第1流体は液滴に分裂し、
該分裂の結果生成された、前記第2流体内に存在する前記第1流体の液滴の複合体は出口チャネルを通過し、
前記複合体の流れに対して垂直な前記出口チャネルの断面積は前記空洞の断面積よりも小さく、かつ前記第1流体の液滴が前記出口を介して前記空洞の外へ流れることで、前記空洞内での前記複合体の流れ場が外乱を受け、
該外乱により、入り込む前記第1流体の噴流が外乱を受け、
前記第1流体は、前記空洞の入口から距離L B で液滴に分裂し、
前記L B は、前記空洞の長さをLとすると、(1/3)L<L B <Lである、
方法。 - 1組のチャネル並びに入口チャネル及び出口チャネルを有する伸張した空洞を有する実質的に単分散の液滴を生成するデバイスであって、
当該デバイスの1組のチャネル内では、第1流体及び該第1流体を取り囲む非混和性の第2流体が複合噴流を生成し、
前記空洞の断面積は前記入口チャネル及び出口チャネルの断面積よりも大きく、
前記複合流は前記空洞内部で分裂して、前記第2流体内に前記第1流体の液滴を生成し、
前記出口を介した前記空洞の外側への前記第1流体の流路は前記空洞内での前記複合流場に外乱を与え、それにより入ってくる前記第1流体の噴流が外乱を受け、
前記第1流体は、前記空洞の入口から距離L B で液滴に分裂し、
前記L B は、前記空洞の長さをLとすると、(1/3)L<L B <Lである、
