Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a manufacturing apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof for forming glass, plastic, etc. heated with a temperature-controlled mold. In particular, the present invention relates to a manufacturing apparatus and a manufacturing method for molding a high-precision optical element in which temperature measurement accuracy affects the quality of a molded product and the quality of an appearance.
As a technique for manufacturing an optical element at low cost and high accuracy, there is a glass mold forming method. In this molding method, a temperature detector such as a thermocouple is used for temperature detection for temperature control of the mold. However, when this temperature detector is placed in a harsh environment, it may deteriorate due to a change with time. Therefore, even if the same process is set, the actual temperature may not be controlled to the target temperature due to the deterioration of the temperature detector. Therefore, defects such as surface accuracy and appearance of the molded product may occur due to this.
However, in the above method, the process adjustment for measuring and feeding back the viscosity and deformation amount of the glass can be performed only at the time of pressing, and the process adjustment other than at the time of pressing cannot be performed. In addition, since it is a relative adjustment, it is impossible to know in absolute value what process was actually performed. For this reason, when trying to mold the same molded product with different manufacturing apparatuses, there is a problem that the same process is not always reproduced between two manufacturing apparatuses even if the same conditions as the original process conditions are set for different manufacturing apparatuses. It was.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an optical element manufacturing apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof capable of highly accurate temperature control.
The present invention provides an optical element manufacturing apparatus that performs hot pressing with a heated mold, and detects the temperature of the mold using an output of a temperature detector for detecting the temperature of the mold. And a calculation unit that calculates a measurement error included in the temperature measured by the temperature detection unit and performs temperature correction, and the temperature detection element is an optical element in the hot press in the mold. In contact with a metal having a melting point or freezing point lower than the molding temperature of the element, the calculation unit calculates the measurement error based on the detection result of the freezing point plateau or melting point plateau of the metal during the heat cycle of the hot press. The present invention relates to an optical element manufacturing apparatus that corrects the temperature and controls the temperature of the mold based on the corrected temperature .
The present invention also hot pressed in a heated mold, in the method of manufacturing an optical element, during the molding of the optical element, for detecting the temperature of the mold, in a forming die, the heat during using the output of the temperature detecting element in contact with the metal having a low melting point or freezing point than the molding temperature of the optical element in the press, the step of measuring the temperature of the mold by the temperature detection section, the freezing point plateau or melting plateau of said material Using the detection result, a calculation error included in the temperature measured during the heat cycle of the hot press is calculated by the calculation unit to perform temperature correction, and the temperature of the mold is calculated based on the corrected temperature. And a step of controlling the optical element .
According to the manufacturing apparatus of the present invention, the error of the temperature detector included in the temperature obtained by the temperature detection unit can be corrected in-process. Further, according to the manufacturing method of the present invention, the temperature control of the mold can be performed with high accuracy by correcting the error of the temperature detector included in the temperature obtained by the temperature detector in-process.
Initially, the structure of one Embodiment of the optical element manufacturing apparatus of this invention is demonstrated.
FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram of an embodiment of a glass optical element manufacturing apparatus according to the present invention. Reference numeral 1 is a mold, reference numeral 2 is a body mold for guiding the mold 1, reference numeral 3 is a heating member (heater) for heating the mold 1 and the cylinder mold 2, and reference numeral 4 is a heating member. A power source for adjusting the amount of power supplied to 3, reference numeral 5 indicates a temperature detector. In this embodiment, a sheath type thermocouple is used as the temperature detector 5, but other appropriate devices such as a resistance temperature detector, a thermistor, or a radiation thermometer can also be used. Further, what is indicated by reference numeral 6 is a control computer. The computer 6 includes a temperature detection unit that converts an output such as a voltage or resistance value measured by the temperature detector 5 into a temperature, a calculation unit that corrects the temperature (hereinafter referred to as a temperature correction calculation unit), and a temperature. A temperature controller that controls the temperature based on the temperature corrected by the correction calculator is incorporated. Further, the temperature detection unit, the calculation unit, and the temperature control unit may be configured using a dedicated IC. These operate during glass element molding. In particular, the temperature correction calculation unit sequentially corrects the temperature measured by the temperature detector to a normal value if necessary, one shot at a time. Yes. The correction amount of the temperature is performed by comparing the measurement error of the temperature detector measured in advance with the temporal change data, or detecting the change in the inclination of the temperature curve. The temperature control of the mold is performed by adjusting the amount of electric power supplied to the heater by PID control from the difference between the temperature corrected by the temperature correction calculation unit and a predetermined set temperature.
Next, an embodiment of a method for manufacturing an optical element while correcting the temperature based on the temporal change data of the temperature detector during the molding of the optical element will be described. Here, the temporal change data is a change in the output of the temperature detector caused by the temperature history of the temperature detector.
First, the temporal change data of the temperature detector is shown below. FIGS. 2A and 2B show changes over time in the electromotive force of the K-type thermocouple used in this embodiment for each deterioration test temperature. The deterioration test is a test in which a thermocouple as a subject is heated and left at a constant temperature. The deterioration test temperature is a set temperature of the deterioration test. FIG. 2A shows the relationship between the correction amount and the elapsed time when the deterioration test temperature is 500 ° C. and FIG. The elapsed time is the time left in the deterioration test. Data with an elapsed time of 0 hour is an error (hereinafter referred to as initial error) that the temperature detector has from a new state, and is constant regardless of the deterioration test temperature. The correction amount is a temperature to be added to the value measured by the temperature detector. For example, when the deterioration test temperature is 600 ° C. and the temperature measured using a temperature detector having an elapsed time of 5000 hours is 400.0 ° C., the correction amount is 4.0 ° C. from FIG. Therefore, the corrected temperature is calculated as 404.0 ° C. In contrast, when only the measured temperature is changed to 600.0 ° C., the correction amount is 6.0 ° C. from FIG. 2, and the corrected temperature is 606.0 ° C. When the measured temperature does not become 200.0, 400.0, 600.0 ° C. shown in FIG. 2 but is intermediate between them, smaller than 200.0 ° C., or larger than 600.0 ° C., The correction amount is obtained as follows. That is, the correction amount is obtained by linear interpolation, interpolation using a quadratic curve or the like based on data of 200.0, 400.0, and 600.0 ° C.
A particularly effective set temperature for the deterioration test is the die temperature during pressing. The reason is that deterioration of the temperature detector is likely to occur at the press temperature at which the temperature becomes high. Furthermore, it is often necessary to wait for a relatively long time for the mold temperature to become steady before pressing, and the temperature correction amount is maximized (see the temperature profile in FIG. 3).
The temperature correction amount data as described above is not limited to the K-type thermocouple used in this embodiment, and other types of thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, thermistors, etc. can be prepared in the same procedure. it can. Since the temperature correction amount data may differ depending on the heater type, atmosphere, and temperature detector production lot at the time of the deterioration test, the temperature correction amount data may be prepared in advance for each condition.
Next, an example of a method for calculating the temperature correction amount in the actual manufacturing of the optical element is shown below. Shown in FIG. 3 is the actual manufacturing process, plotted with respect to temperature and time. First, the temperature-time curve in FIG. 3 is associated with the deterioration test temperature and elapsed time of the deterioration test. In the present embodiment, how much time has passed at the above-described deterioration test temperature is handled as follows in the actual manufacturing process. For example, in FIG. 3, approximation is performed assuming that the temperature detector is in the state of 450.0 to 550.0 ° C. and the deterioration test temperature is in the state of 500 ° C. And the value which integrated the elapsed time in the temperature range of 450.0-550.0 degreeC (time of A in a figure) by the cycle was considered equivalent to the elapsed time in deterioration test temperature. Similarly, the temperature range of 550.0 to 650.0 ° C. approximated that the deterioration test temperature was 600 ° C. The elapsed time for one cycle in this case was extracted as B in the figure. The elapsed time of 450.0 ° C. or less was ignored because the ratio included in the cycle was small.
FIG. 4 shows the relationship between the number of molding cycles and the elapsed time related by the above approximation for each deterioration test temperature. Like the calculation formula in the figure, the elapsed time for each deterioration test temperature has a linear relationship with the number of molding cycles. The final temperature correction value is calculated from the relationship between the correction amount and the elapsed time shown in FIGS. For example, when the number of cycles in FIG. 4 is 10,000, the elapsed time when the deterioration test temperature is 500 ° C. is 300 hours, and the elapsed time when the deterioration test temperature is 600 ° C. is 500 hours. From FIG. 2, when the measured temperature is 400.0 ° C., the deterioration test temperature is 500 ° C., and the correction amount when the elapsed time is 300 hours is 1.0 ° C. Similarly, the deterioration test temperature is 600 ° C. When the time is 500 hours, the correction amount is 1.3 ° C. Here, considering the initial error of the temperature detector when the elapsed time is 0 and the measured temperature is 400.0 ° C., which is 0.9 ° C. in this embodiment, the temperature correction amount is 0.9 and 0.00. The value obtained by adding 1 and 0.4 is 1.4 ° C. A value obtained by adding this correction amount to the measured temperature of 400.0 ° C., 401.4 ° C., is the corrected temperature.
In this embodiment, the temperature correction amount of the temperature detector at two deterioration test temperatures of 500 ° C. and 600 ° C. is measured. However, when the influence of the deterioration test temperature on the correction amount is large, the deterioration test is further performed. Increasing the temperature range and number improves the correction accuracy. In addition, by giving the temperature detector the temperature history of the molding process that is actually manufactured or a molding process similar to it, data indicating the relationship between the number of molding cycles and the temperature correction amount is obtained, and the temperature is used using that data. Correction accuracy is further improved. In particular, when a K-type thermocouple is used, the correction amount changes in a complex manner due to the effects of the generally known short range ordering. Therefore, the number of molding cycles and the correction amount data are measured in the actual manufacturing process. It is effective to keep it. Of course, each of the above numerical values changes depending on the member or atmosphere that heats the temperature detector, and therefore it is required to acquire appropriate data corresponding to the member.
As described above, the temperature measurement value of the temperature detector is corrected by the temperature correction calculation unit. Then, since the corrected temperature is used for PID control of the temperature control unit, temperature control can be performed with absolute accuracy, and thus an optical element can be manufactured with high accuracy.
Next, as another embodiment, a method will be described in which the temperature correction calculation unit corrects the temperature by a freezing point plateau or a melting point plateau and manufactures an optical element. Here, the freezing point plateau and the melting point plateau refer to a state in which, when a certain substance is heated or cooled, there is almost no temperature change with time in the vicinity of the freezing point and melting point of the substance.
FIG. 5 shows the configuration of this embodiment. In this configuration, Al having a freezing point of 660.3 ° C. indicated by reference numeral 7 is embedded in the mold, and the temperature detector 8 is placed in the vicinity of the Al. It is arranged. In this embodiment, although the material used is Al, other freezing point temperatures are known, and any material having a melting point or freezing point lower than the maximum temperature of the mold in the hot press can be used as appropriate. Specifically, since the maximum temperature of a general hot press mold is 1000 ° C. or less, the solidification point is 961 ° C. Ag, 419.5 ° C. Zn, 231.9 ° C. Sn, 156.6 ° C. Indium at 0 ° C. is preferable. The temperature detector 8 and the mold are preferably protected with a carbon material, alumina, zirconia, magnesia, or the like so as not to be corroded when Al is melted. This protection is also aimed at preventing Al from being altered and the freezing point and melting point temperature from changing. In FIG. 5, the same parts as those in the apparatus of FIG.
FIG. 6 shows a temperature-time curve measured by the temperature detector 8 when the temperature of the mold is raised to 700 ° C. and then lowered in the configuration of FIG. A melting point plateau 9 can be observed when the temperature is raised, and a freezing point plateau 10 can be observed when the temperature is lowered. This plateau is detected by software from the change in the slope of the temperature-time curve. Then, from the detection result, the ΔT in the figure is simply shifted by adding to or subtracting from the temperature measured by the temperature detector so that the measured temperature at that time is 660.3 ° C. At this time, not only a simple shift but also a correction accuracy is further improved by adding or subtracting the temperature measured by the temperature detector after applying a temperature coefficient to ΔT. That is, the temperature coefficient is simply calculated as 5.2 / 655.1 assuming that ΔT is 5.2 ° C. at 0 to 655.1 ° C. In this embodiment, since Al is used, the numerical data is as described above. Naturally, the numerical data changes when a different metal is used, and therefore, appropriate processing corresponding to the metal used may be performed.
FIG. 7 shows the temperature correction amount calculated from the ΔT and the temperature coefficient. Here, the temperature correction amount is linear with respect to the measured temperature from the above-described concept of the temperature coefficient. However, when the correction accuracy is to be improved, it may be nonlinear.
As described above, the temperature correction calculation unit corrects the measured value of the temperature detector. Then, the corrected temperature is used for PID control in a temperature control unit of a computer not shown in the figure, so that the temperature is at an absolute accuracy at least near the melting point and freezing point temperature of the substance (Al in this embodiment). Molding can be performed while being controlled. As a result, a highly accurate optical element can be manufactured.

In the method of manufacturing an optical element, which is hot-pressed with a heated mold,
During molding of the optical element,
In order to detect the temperature of the mold, the temperature detector uses the output of a temperature detector in contact with a metal having a melting point or freezing point lower than the molding temperature of the optical element in the hot press in the mold. Measuring the temperature of the mold,
Using the detection result of the freezing point plateau or melting point plateau of the material, the measurement unit calculates a measurement error included in the temperature measured during the heat cycle of the hot press, performs temperature correction, and the corrected temperature And a step of controlling the temperature of the molding die based on the method.
