Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a urinary catheter.
Urinary catheters are used to measure and measure the amount of residual urine and urine in patients who have difficulty urinating due to prostate enlargement or spinal cord and peripheral nerve damage, anesthesia and drug effects, and patients who need surgery or absolute rest. This is the tube used to conduct urine for patients who need it. That is, the urinary catheter is a medical excretion tool that is used when urine cannot be excreted by the patient's intention or when excretion is difficult.
The urinary catheter is inserted from the mouth of the external urethra into the section from the mouth of the outer urethra, which is a human body passage when urine is excreted from the bladder to the outside of the body, to the bladder. And it is for discharging | emitting urine by inserting a urinary catheter in the said area. Further, the urinary catheter is inserted into the body after the operation until the patient can urinate by himself or until strict moisture management for the patient is unnecessary.
In other words, urinary catheters are not only used during hospitalization, anesthesia, surgery, and recovery, but also for general management of the perioperative period (hereinafter referred to as perioperative management), which includes a series of periods before and after surgery. Is done. Perioperative management is performed in cooperation with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
By the way, when the urinary catheter is inserted into the urethra of the patient, the patient is in a state of general anesthesia. Therefore, the patient does not feel pain when inserting the urinary catheter into the urethra. However, during management of the urinary catheter during the perioperative period, the patient suffers from pain, discomfort, and residual urine pain at any time until removal. In particular, after waking up from the time of half-wake-up from anesthesia, it is accompanied by extreme discomfort such as stimulating discomfort to the urethral mucosa, residual urine sensation, and pain due to the indwelling of the urinary catheter.
This increases the patient's mental and physical stress. In particular, the pain when removing the urinary catheter that has been placed in the body is considerable. Therefore, relieving such pain increases the patient's medical satisfaction.
The present invention was invented in view of the above circumstances, and the problem to be solved is to alleviate the pain felt by the patient when the urethral catheter inserted into the urethra of the patient is removed from the urethra. And
Therefore, the present invention employs the following means.
That is, the urinary catheter of the present invention is a medical tube that is used as an excretion tool by being placed in the patient's body when urine is not excreted by the patient's intention, and has a front section and a rear section in the longitudinal direction. A urinary catheter, in order to fix the urinary catheter to the bladder, a balloon part located in the bladder of the urinary catheter and inflated in the bladder, and a liquid introduction for introducing liquid into the balloon part to inflate the balloon part A lumen for urine discharge, a lumen for draining urine for guiding urine stored in the bladder to the outside of the body, and a lumen for drug injection for administering the drug into the urethra, wherein the front section has a diameter larger than that of the rear section. It is characterized by being large.
Between the front section and the rear section, it is preferable to have an intermediate section having a truncated conical shape with the small diameter side facing backward so that the diameter decreases toward the rear.
The front portion of the second lumen is formed with a plurality of outlets for injecting local anesthesia into the urethral wall from the bladder neck to the urethra, and a urinary catheter is inserted into the bladder at the outlet. It is sometimes preferable to have a front injection port formed to be 1 to 3 cm from the bladder neck and a back injection port formed to be 4 to 6 cm from the bladder neck.
The present invention can relieve pain when the urinary catheter is removed.
Hereinafter, modes for carrying out the present invention (hereinafter referred to as embodiments) will be exemplarily described based on examples. However, the dimensions, materials, shapes, and relative arrangements of the component parts described in this embodiment are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention unless otherwise specified.
A
The
The catheter body is formed by coating the surface of latex rubber with silicon or a hydrophilic material (hereinafter referred to as hydrophilic coating). In addition to hydrophilic coating, natural latex rubber with 100% natural rubber, silicone coating with silicon coated on natural latex, silver coating with natural latex coated with silver, and hydrophilic material coated, plastic thermoplastic elastomer, silicone Examples include 100% rubber all-silicon.
By applying the hydrophilic coating, it is easy to reduce the friction generated between the urethral membrane wall (not shown) and the
The
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the difference between the
The
The
The
The
7 and 8 show a sectional view taken along line VII-VII and a sectional view taken along line VIII-VIII in FIG. 2, respectively. Also from these drawings, it can be seen that the shape and size of the
That is, in the
In the
Although not shown, the
Further, what is denoted by
Of the four
This is because the
Next, the
The
Moreover, the
The
The
As described above, the
The
Next, a method for using the
(1) Disinfect the penile outer urethral area with a cotton ball soaked in antiseptic solution such as povidone iodine.
(2) Open the urinary catheter package and apply a water-soluble lubricant to the urinary catheter.
(3) Carefully insert the urinary catheter through the mouth of the external urethra. At this time, the patient is in a coma state due to general anesthesia. Therefore, no pain is felt even when the urinary catheter is inserted into the penis. After the balloon portion reaches the bladder, a syringe is attached to the
(4) Pull the urinary catheter slightly until the
(5) Next, the case where the urinary catheter is removed from the penis will be described. At this time, it is assumed that the patient has been awake from the half-awake from anesthesia. And when extracting a urinary catheter, suction with a syringe is not performed. A syringe is attached to promote natural discharge of sterilized water, and the
(6) In removing the
Next, the function and effect of such a
In order to fix the urinary catheter to the bladder, the
Therefore, when the
In addition, when managing the urinary catheter in the perioperative period, by administering a local anesthetic to the urethral mucosa at any time until removal, the patient can be excreted, or when excretion is difficult, Pain of pain, discomfort, and residual urine is relieved.
