Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an aqueous wood antiseptic / anticidal composition and a method for treating wood using the same. The aqueous wood antiseptic / anticidal composition of the present invention is suitable for pressure injection treatment for imparting an excellent antiseptic / anticidal effect to wood.
In recent years, wood preservatives such as wood preservatives, fungicides, insect repellents, and ant repellants contain pentachlorophenol (PCP), chromium, arsenic, and copper in consideration of impacts on the human body and environmental impact. Quaternary ammonium compounds such as didecyldimethylammonium chloride, benzalkonium chloride, N, N-didecyl-N-methyl-poly (oxyethyl) ammonium propionate; triazoles such as cyproconazole and tebuconazole Compounds; organic acid metal compounds such as copper naphthenate and zinc naphthenate; organic iodo compounds such as 3-iodo-2-propynyl-n-butylcarbamate and 4-chlorophenyl-3-iodopropargyl formal; imidacloprid and acetamiprid Neonicotinoid compounds such as are used (For example, Japan Wood Conservation Association, “Introduction to Wood Conservation Science”, 2nd edition, Japan Wood Conservation Association, December 1, 2005, p. 87-111: see Non-Patent Document 1) . Of the above exemplary compounds, many organic compounds other than the quaternary ammonium compounds are generally insoluble or hardly soluble in water.
The method of using wood preservatives is usually to apply wood preservative chemicals to the wood by brushing, roller coating or spray painting at the site where the wood is used, or immersing the wood in the wood preservative chemicals. The surface treatment method that attaches the wood preservative to the surface of the wood and the addition of the wood preservative to penetrate into the wood by immersing the wood in a chemical solution of the wood preservative and repeating the pressure reduction and pressurization at a specialized processing plant. It is roughly divided into pressure injection processing methods.
In the surface treatment method, penetrability of chemicals into wood and good coating properties are required, and a binder that can be made into a water emulsion is used.
And as a composition for the surface treatment method, for example, in order to increase the permeability to wood, a binder that can be emulsified in water or made of a natural or synthetic oil, an alkyd resin based on this oil is used. And a transparent and storage-stable coating material or treatment composition comprising a biocidal component consisting of a tertiary amine and a salt thereof, a quaternary ammonium salt, and water has been proposed (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2002-2002). No. 502721, see Patent Document 1). Examples thereof include a binder, didecyldimethylammonium chloride, didecyldimethylammonium lactate, dimethyl (alkyl having 8 to 18 carbon atoms) benzylammonium chloride, N, N-didecyl-N-methyl-N-. Disclosed is a formulation comprising poly (oxyethyl) ammonium propinate or alkyltrimethylammonium chloride, a known active ingredient and water.
On the other hand, the pressure injection treatment method is a method that uses a pressure treatment device to infiltrate the chemical into the wood due to the pressure difference between the wood and the surrounding chemicals, and is the most reliable in terms of antiseptic and ant-proof effects. It can be done. As a pharmaceutical form used in this pressure injection treatment method, a water-soluble drug used by dissolving an active ingredient soluble in water in water is preferable from the viewpoint of cost and environmental protection. Further, compounds insoluble or hardly soluble in water are generally used in the form of an aqueous dispersion or emulsion dissolved in an organic solvent containing a spreading agent, a dispersing agent or an emulsifier.
Requirements for supplying wood preservatives, especially wood preservatives used in pressure injection treatment methods, include (1) Formulation of organic solvents other than active ingredients in the formulation in consideration of environmental aspects and economy. Reducing the amount, (2) being easy to produce the preparation (for example, being able to be produced by mixing and stirring at room temperature), (3) being a long-term stable and transparent water-soluble composition, (4 ) It can be easily diluted with water at the time of use, and becomes a chemical solution of an aqueous solution or a microemulsion.
And as requirements required for the chemical solution of the wood preservative at the time of use, (1) it must be a water solution or a microemulsion with high permeability to wood, and (2) keep stable properties over a long period of time, (3) In terms of cost and stability of chemicals under high pressure, it should not contain any components other than active ingredients (for example, binders, hydrophobic polyols, etc.), and (4) pressure-injected wood can be used as rainwater. Even when exposed, water-soluble active ingredients are not easily leached (for example, no surfactant is blended), (5) pressure-injected wood has no metal corrosiveness, etc. Is mentioned.
In general, in formulating a compound that is insoluble or hardly soluble in water, it is preferable from the viewpoint of environmental load to suppress the amount of an organic solvent or an emulsifier used as much as possible.
Therefore, an aqueous solution or aqueous emulsion having a high microbicidal activity has been proposed, which is a combination of at least one azole-type fungicidal agent in the form of a free base and a quaternary ammonium fungicidal agent. -194118 gazette: refer patent document 2). In the examples, it is disclosed that an aqueous solution of alkylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride is heated to 60 ° C., and then tebuconazole and iodopropargyl butyl carbamate are stirred and dissolved to form a transparent solution.
Also comprising a combination of active compounds comprising at least one azole fungicide, at least one insecticide from the group of nitromethylenes and at least one quaternary ammonium salt fungicide and fungicide. A microbicidal compound preparation based on water has been proposed (see Japanese Patent Publication No. 2000-500475: Patent Document 3). In Example 1, a composition comprising dimethyldidecylammonium chloride, tebuconazole (azole-based fungicide and fungicide), imidacloprid (nitromethylene-based insecticide), isopropanol (solvent) and water is disclosed. .
However, since the quaternary ammonium compound is relatively easily dissolved in water, when the treated wood is immersed in water or exposed to rain water, it is leached and the sustainability of the subsequent antiseptic effect is likely to be lowered.
Therefore, a quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactant (A) and a hydrophobic polyol (B) having a number average molecular weight of 150 to 4,000 whose solubility in water at 30 ° C. is 1 g or less / 100 g of water are contained. In addition, the water-soluble or water-dispersible wood preservative composition having a weight ratio (B) / (A) of 0.01 to 1, and further containing the antiseptic ant agent (C) is excellent in water resistance durability. A quaternary ammonium salt type wood preservative / anticide composition has been proposed (see JP-A-2008-265264: Patent Document 4). Further, cyproconazole, imidacloprid, and 3-iodo-2-upyropenylbutyl carbamate are disclosed as antiseptic and antifungal agents (C).
The applicant of the present application has proposed a wood preservative and wood ant / antifungal agent containing alkylamine acetate as an active ingredient (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-82696: Patent Document 5 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2006-44223). Publication: see Patent Document 6).

The compositions described in Patent Documents 2 and 3 are inventions relating to a wood preservative containing a quaternary ammonium compound that is easily dissolved in water, and do not satisfy the requirement (4) required for a chemical solution during use.
The composition described in Patent Document 4 contains a hydrophobic polyol and does not satisfy the requirement (3) required for a chemical solution at the time of use.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an aqueous wood antiseptic / anticidal composition that satisfies the requirements of a preparation at the time of supply required for a pressure injection treatment method and a chemical solution at the time of use, and a method for treating wood using the same. And That is, the present invention is suitable for the pressure injection treatment method, and is easily diluted with water at the time of use to become an aqueous solution, and the pressure-injected wood does not have metal corrosiveness and is exposed to rainwater or the like. However, water-soluble active ingredients are not easily leached from wood and have excellent antiseptic and ant-repellent water resistance and, as a result, water-based wood antiseptic and ant-preserving compositions and water dilutions thereof. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for treating wood by pressure-injecting an object into wood.

This is an unexpected fact from the fact that preparations using quaternary ammonium salts such as dimethyldidecylammonium chloride are easily leached from wood subjected to pressure injection treatment (Comparative Preparation Examples 5 and 6). (See “Leachability Test”)
