Description

The present invention relates to, for example, a waterproof cap for a harness that is crowned and fixed to an end of a harness of various vehicles, and in particular, may be accidentally detached or dropped after being crowned and fixed to an end of the harness. The present invention relates to a device that is devised so as not to shift its position.

For example, the end portions of the harnesses of various vehicles are processed as follows. That is, the core wires of the plurality of covered electric wires at the end of the harness are exposed, and the exposed core wires are bundled and hardened by an ultrasonic welding method. A harness waterproof cap prepared separately is crowned and fixed at the tip of such a harness. That is, molten resin is filled in the waterproof cap for harness, and the end portion of the harness is inserted therein. The filled molten resin is hardened by leaving it in that state for a curing period. Accordingly, the waterproof cap is crowned and fixed to the end portion of the harness.

Hereinafter, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the overall structure of a waterproof cap 1 for a harness according to the present embodiment, FIG. 2 is a side view of the same, and FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken along line III-III in FIG.
The harness waterproof cap 1 includes a waterproof cap body 3 having a substantially sheath shape. The waterproof cap body 3 has a substantially sheath shape as described above, and is provided with the insertion port 3a on the base end side (right side in FIG. 1) and the distal end (left side in FIG. 1) closed. I am doing.

The waterproof cap body 3 has a circular cross section, but a flat portion 5 is provided in a part thereof. In the case of this embodiment, the flat portion 5 is provided in a predetermined range from the insertion port 3a of the waterproof cap body 3 to a substantially intermediate position in the longitudinal direction. That is, as shown in FIG. 10, the flat portion 5 is gradually flattened from the circular portion (insert 3a), reaches the flattest portion 5a, and is gradually released from the flattened portion 5a. It is provided so as to return to a circular shape. Further, looking at the cross-sectional shape of the flattened portion 5a, as shown in FIG.

In addition, annular protrusions 11 and 13 are provided at two positions on the distal end side of the flat shape portion 5 of the waterproof cap body 3. The cross-sectional shape of the annular protrusion 13 is substantially semicircular as shown in FIG.
Note that the cross-sectional shape of the annular protrusion 11 is the same as that of the annular protrusion 13.

The operation will be described based on the above configuration. In the case of the present embodiment, the waterproof cap for harness 1 having the above-described configuration is subjected to waterproof treatment by being crowned and fixed to the end portion 21 (shown in FIG. 10) of the harness. As shown in FIG. 10, the end portion 21 of the harness is in a state where a plurality of covered electric wires 23 are bundled, and each covered electric wire 23 has a configuration in which the outer periphery of the core wire 25 is covered with a covering material 24. Thus, the core wire 25 is exposed at the tip. Moreover, the several core wire 25 is the state hardened by the ultrasonic welding method.

First, the molten resin 31 is poured into the waterproof cap main body 3 of the harness waterproof cap 1 through the insertion port 3a. Next, the end portion 21 of the harness having the above-described configuration is inserted into the waterproof cap body 3 of the harness waterproof cap 1 through the insertion port 3a. In this state, a predetermined curing period is set and the hardening of the molten resin 31 is awaited.
In addition, although it is the cyclic | annular protrusion 11 mentioned above, this is positioning of the edge part 21 of the said inserted harness, ie, as shown in FIG. 10, with the several covered electric wire 23 and the core wire 25 exposed and hardened. It is provided for the purpose of positioning the boundary. The annular protrusion 13 is provided to prevent the core wire 25 exposed during vibration from coming into direct contact with the inner peripheral surface of the waterproof cap body 3. The core wire 25 is provided in the waterproof cap body. 3 is prevented from coming into direct contact with the inner peripheral surface 3 and damaging the inner surface.

During the curing period, the harness in a state where the harness waterproof cap 1 is crowned and temporarily fixed is suspended. At this time, the temporarily secured harness waterproof cap 1 is attached from the end portion 21 of the harness. There is no such thing as accidentally falling out. This is because the portion of the covered electric wire 23 at the end portion 21 of the inserted harness is pressed by the flat portion 5.

As described above, according to the present embodiment, the following effects can be obtained.
First, the harness in a state where the waterproof cap for harness 1 is crowned and temporarily fixed is suspended and cured. At this time, the waterproof cap for harness 1 temporarily fixed is carelessly formed from the end portion 21 of the harness. It is possible to prevent a dropout or a shift of the position. This is because the portion of the covered electric wire 23 at the end portion 21 of the inserted harness is pressed by the flat portion 5 of the waterproof cap 1 for harness.
In the case of the present embodiment, the waterproof cap body 3 is gradually flattened from the insertion port 3a, and the insertion port 3a is in a circular state. The workability of the insertion work of the part 21 is not impaired.
Further, since the portion of the covered electric wire 23 of the end portion 21 of the harness is pressed in a predetermined range in the axial direction although the degree of flatness is different, the temporarily fixed harness waterproof cap 1 is attached from the end portion 21 of the harness. It is possible to reliably prevent the accidental drop or the position from being shifted.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In the case of the first embodiment, the flat portion 5 is provided in a predetermined range from the insertion port 3a of the waterproof cap body 3 to the substantially intermediate position in the longitudinal direction, and the substantially intermediate position within the range. In the case of this second embodiment, the flat shape portion 5 is provided in a predetermined range from the insertion port 3a of the waterproof cap body 3 to a substantially intermediate position in the longitudinal direction. And the insertion port 3a is made into the flattest part 5a.
Other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment, and the same portions are denoted by the same reference numerals in the drawings, and the description thereof is omitted.

Therefore, in the case of the second embodiment, substantially the same effect as in the case of the first embodiment can be obtained, and inadvertent detachment and misalignment of the waterproof cap for harness 1 can be prevented. it can.

The present invention is not limited to the first and second embodiments.
First, the position of the flat portion is not limited to the illustrated one, and other positions may be considered.
Moreover, in the case of the said 1st, 2nd embodiment, although the flat shape part was made into one place, the structure provided in two or more places is also considered. The same applies to the position and number of the flattest portion.
In addition, the illustrated configuration is merely an example.

The present invention relates to a waterproof cap for a harness that is crowned at the tip of a harness of various vehicles, for example, and in particular, avoids inadvertent detachment and dropping after being crowned at the tip of the harness. For example, it is suitable for waterproofing the terminal portion of the harness of a four-wheeled vehicle.
