Description
実施例中で、接着剤特性を評価するために用いられる試験は次のように行われた。
TA Instrument DSC 2920又は類似の装置を使用して、5〜10mgの重量のサンプルを準備した。対照としてのブランクの皿と共に、そのサンプルをDSC中に装着した。サンプルを10℃/分の速度で130℃に加熱し、そして130℃で1分間維持した。次いでそのサンプルを10℃/分の速度で0℃に冷却した。その冷却曲線上のピークの温度を測定し、その値を結晶化温度として記録した。
1インチキューブ(cube)を形成するために溶融した接着剤を離型中に注ぎ込み、そして25℃で24時間の間状態を整えさせた。次いでそのキューブを型から取り出して、標準のグラフ用紙(1cm正方形又はそれに類似)の上に置いた。次いでそのキューブを、130゜F(54℃)に制御された炉中に24時間置いた。次いでそのキューブをその炉から取り出して、接着剤で覆われた正方形の数を記録した。次の式を用いて、%フローを計算した。
%フロー=(キューブの最後の数−キューブの最初の数)/キューブの最初の数
高速ウェブラミネーターを使って、次のようにして剥離サンプルを形成した。標準のEP−11 Nordsonのスロットヘッドを使用して、13gsmのコーティング重量で不織布基材のランディングゾーンに溶融した接着剤を塗布し、次いで加圧ニップを用いてそれを第2のSMS不織布に合わせた。そのラミネート条件として、接着加工のオープンタイムが4秒であった。
標準のブルックフィールド粘度計を使用して、120℃での接着剤粘度を測定し、その結果を記録した。
Rheometrics Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer(モデル RDA 700)を使用して、弾性率(G’)対温度を得た。その装置をRhiosソフトウエア バージョン4.3.2で制御した。直径が8mmで約2mmの隙間で離れた並行プレートを使用した。サンプルを装着し、次いで約−100℃に冷却して、時間のプログラムを開始させた。そのプログラムの試験は、5℃の区分とそれに続く各温度での10秒間のソーク(soak)時間で温度を上昇させた。そのサンプルを収容している熱対流炉を、窒素で連続的にフラッシュした。周期数を10rad/secに維持した。試験の開始時における初期歪(strain)は0.05%(プレートの外部端で)であった。その試験を通じて正確に測定可能なトルクを維持するために、そのソフトウエアにおける自動歪(autostrain)のオプションを使用した。そのオプションは、そのソフトウエアによって可能な最大適用歪が80%であるように構成された。保証されれば、以下の手順により、そのソフトウエアにおける自動歪プログラムが各温度増加分での歪を調整した。トルクが200g‐cmを下回れば、その歪を現状の値の25%まで増加した。トルクが1200g‐cmを上回れば、その歪を現状の値の25%まで減少した。トルクが200g‐cmと1200g‐cmの間にある場合、その温度増加分において歪の変更を行わなかった。せん断貯蔵又は弾性率(G’)は、そのトルクと歪のデータからソフトウエアによって計算された。
当分野において知られた技術を使用して、9個の接着剤サンプル(サンプル1とサンプル2並びに比較サンプルA〜G)を配合した。それらのサンプルは、表1に示すように、スチレンブロックコポリマー、鉱油、粘着付与樹脂、抗酸化剤及びワックスを含んだ。典型的な手順として、全体の粘着付与樹脂のおよそ半分を、ローターを供えたジャケット付きの混合反応がま中に入れる工程、及びその温度を約100℃〜200℃の範囲に上昇させる工程を含めた。用いた正確な温度は、特定の粘着付与樹脂の軟化点に依存している。その樹脂が溶融したとき、攪拌を開始し、ブロックポリマー、ワックス、油及び抗酸化剤を、所望の任意の添加剤と共に、添加する。スムースで均質な物が得られるまで、混合と加熱を続ける。
Claims (12)
- 10〜25重量%のスチレンブロックコポリマーと、
40〜70重量%の粘着付与剤と、
15〜30重量%の可塑剤と、
2重量%までの抗酸化剤と、
120℃において10,000cPよりも低い粘度、54℃で300%未満のキューブフロー、75℃未満のDSC結晶化温度、並びに10rad/sec(25℃)で1.0×107dyne/cm2未満の貯蔵弾性率を有する接着剤を製造するための、54℃〜107℃の融点を有する、パラフィンワックス、微晶質ワックス及びフィッシャー‐トロプシュワックスから選択される少なくとも一種の、5〜10重量%のワックスと
を含む、120℃よりも低い温度での適用のために配合される、ホットメルト接着剤。 - 前記ワックスが74℃よりも高い融点を有するものである、請求項1に記載の接着剤。
- 該ワックスがワックス類の混合物を含むものである、請求項1に記載の接着剤。
- SBSポリマー、SISポリマー、SEBSポリマー及び/又はSEPSポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の接着剤。
- SBSポリマー及びSISポリマーのブレンドを含む、請求項1に記載の接着剤。
- 該粘着付与剤が80℃を超える軟化点を有するものである、請求項1に記載の接着剤。
- 吸収性不織布製品及びラベル付き容器から選択される、請求項1に記載の接着剤を含む、製品。
- 使い捨て吸収性不織布製品である、請求項7に記載の製品。
- おむつである、請求項8に記載の製品。
- ラベル付き容器である、請求項7に記載の製品。
- 基材を類似又は非類似の基材に接着するための方法であって、溶融したホットメルト接着剤を少なくとも第1の基材の少なくとも一部に適用する工程と、前記第1の基材を第2の基材に接着する工程を含み、そこでは該接着剤が、
10〜25重量%のスチレンブロックコポリマーと、
40〜70重量%の粘着付与剤と、
15〜30重量%の可塑剤と、
2重量%までの抗酸化剤と、
