Description
パケットを伝送する時間=パケット長/最小物理伝送速度
を用いてパケットを伝送する時間を計算する。このように、パケットを伝送するそれぞれの時間はAP101によって計算されて、それぞれの無線局に知らされる。
Claims (14)
- 無線ネットワークにおける帯域幅を公平化する方法であって、
前記無線ネットワークにおける複数の無線局各々が順番に起動してパケットを通信するように或る特定のサービスインターバルに対する帯域幅の所要量を決定するステップと、
前記複数の無線局各々に割り当てる伝送時間を所定の物理伝送速度に基づいて決定するステップと、
少なくとも1つの無線局が、前記所定の物理伝送速度未満の他の伝送速度で送信する場合、前記少なくとも1つの無線局のパケットを断片化するステップであって、断片化された最初のパケット断片は総断片数を示すヘッダを含む、ステップと
を含み、前記総断片数は、前記所定の物理伝送速度を前記他の伝送速度で割った数に等しく、前記複数の無線局各々に割り当てる伝送時間は、サービスインターバル中に生じる全パケットの総データを前記所定の物理伝送速度で割った値に等しく、
前記少なくとも1つの無線局は、前記所定の物理伝送速度で伝送している無線局の全てが各自のパケットの送信を完了した後に、残っている全てのパケット断片を伝送する、無線ネットワークにおける帯域幅を公平化する方法。 - 前記複数の無線局各々に割り当てられる伝送時間は、サービスインターバルの期間中にそれぞれの無線局が送信すべきデータ量に比例する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線ネットワークは、複数の物理伝送速度による通信が可能な無線ネットワークである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線ネットワークは、一般化パケット無線サービス(GPRS)ネットワークである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記無線ネットワークは、無線ローカルエリアネットワーク(WLAN)である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- サービスインターバルの期間中に前記所定の物理伝送速度での伝送を維持している各無線局に対して、或る特定のサービス品質(QoS)を維持する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの無線局は、パケット断片の物理伝送速度が前記他の伝送速度よりも大きくなるまで、残っているパケット断片を伝送する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つのアクセスポイント及び複数の無線局を具えた無線ネットワークであって、
各サービスインターバルに対して、前記アクセスポイントは、前記複数の無線局各々が順番に起動してパケットを通信するように或る特定のサービスインターバルに対する帯域幅の所要量を決定し、前記複数の無線局各々に割り当てる伝送時間を所定の物理伝送速度に基づいて決定し、
少なくとも1つの無線局は、前記所定の物理伝送速度未満の他の伝送速度で送信する場合、該少なくとも1つの無線局のパケットを断片化し、断片化された最初のパケット断片は総断片数を示すヘッダを含み、前記総断片数は、前記所定の物理伝送速度を前記他の伝送速度で割った数に等しく、
前記複数の無線局各々に割り当てる伝送時間は、サービスインターバル中に生じる全パケットの総データを前記所定の物理伝送速度で割った値に等しく、
前記サービスインターバルの期間中に、パケットの伝送速度が前記所定の物理伝送速度よりも低い伝送速度に変化した前記無線局の各々は、各自の残りのパケット断片を、前記所定の物理伝送速度で送信する全ての無線局が各自のパケットの送信を完了した後に、送信する、無線ネットワーク。 - 前記複数の無線局のうちパケットを断片化する無線局以外の無線局は、前記所定の物理伝送速度で送信する、請求項8に記載の無線ネットワーク。
- 前記伝送時間は、ビーコンインターバル中に生成される全パケットの総データを前記所定の物理伝送速度で割った値に等しい、請求項8に記載の無線ネットワーク。
- 前記複数の無線局の各々は、複数の物理伝送速度で送信可能である、請求項8に記載の無線ネットワーク。
- 前記無線ネットワークは、一般化パケット無線サービス(GPRS)ネットワークである、請求項11に記載の無線ネットワーク。
- 前記無線ネットワークは、無線ローカルエリアネットワーク(WLAN)である、請求項11に記載の無線ネットワーク。
- 或る特定のサービス品質(QoS)が、全サービスインターバルの期間中、前記所定の物理伝送速度で送信する複数の無線局の各々に対して維持される、請求項8に記載の無線ネットワーク。
