Description

The present invention prevents a flexible wiring board from being easily detached by an external force from a connector connected to a flexible wiring board such as an optical waveguide, which is used in, for example, a mobile phone, a PDA, a personal computer, an electronic game machine, and the like. The present invention relates to a connector locking mechanism.

Conventionally, when connecting a flexible cable of an optical signal or an electric signal or a combination of these to a connector, as a retainer, for example, as shown in FIG. The thing which provided the processus | protrusion 16a of this is known (refer patent document 1). This is because the pressing member 15a on the connector 15 side is provided with a retaining portion 15b that protrudes toward the pressing surface, and the protruding portion 16a is formed on a part of the fitting portion of the flexible substrate 16 that is attached to the connector 15. When the pressing member 15a is rotated around the shaft portion and closed, the retaining portion 15b locks the protruding portion 16a.
JP 2003-208946 A

In addition, in the cable, when the optical signal has an optical signal, the optical waveguide and the light emitting element (light receiving element) on the connector side can be combined with the optical signal by condensing the optical signal with a lens or directly with the element. Is.

However, in the conventional connector locking mechanism, the cable protrudes outward beyond the width of the cable, resulting in poor cable yield. On the other hand, if the cable is notched or provided with a hole to prevent the cable from being damaged, the cable is greatly damaged when the cable is pulled, and damage to the electric signal path and the optical waveguide cannot be avoided.

On the other hand, also in the coupling method in the optical waveguide, the optical coupling efficiency of the joint portion is not improved due to the dimensional error of the attachment simply by joining the cable to the connector and simply providing a means for preventing the cable from coming off. In order to improve this, assembly accuracy must be increased, and fine adjustment is required, which is a laborious operation. Therefore, the man-hours for connector assembly increase and the cost increases. The connector locking mechanism according to the present invention has been proposed in order to solve such problems.

The gist of the present invention for solving the above-mentioned problems of the connector locking mechanism according to the present invention is to fix the signal transmission flexible wiring board to the connecting portion by the lid-closing action of the lid member, and to transmit an optical signal or an electrical signal. In the connector locking mechanism to be transmitted, a reinforcing plate having a desired plate thickness is fixed to one side surface of the flexible wiring board accommodated in the connecting portion, and the reinforcing plate is pressed against the reinforcing plate by the lid member. While fixing to the connection part, the lid member that closes the connection part is engaged with the side end surface on the extraction side of the reinforcing plate of the flexible wiring board attached to the connection part, and the flexible wiring board is removed. An extraction preventing member for blocking is provided, and the reinforcing plate is formed of a cushioning member that relaxes the closing action of the lid member,
The flexible wiring board is any one of an optical signal flexible wiring board, an electrical signal flexible wiring board, or an optical / electrical signal flexible wiring board, and the lid member is closed at a connection portion. When the flexible wiring board is locked, an urging means for urging the flexible wiring board in the insertion direction is provided.

The biasing means biases the front end surface of the flexible wiring board so as to maintain a state in which the front end surface is always in contact with the wall surface on the insertion direction side of the connection portion.
Furthermore, when the flexible wiring board is an optical signal flexible wiring board or an optical / electrical signal flexible wiring board, a parallel lens is provided between the front end surface of the flexible wiring board and the light emitting and receiving element. preferable.
The reinforcing plate includes that the inside of the reinforcing plate contains magnetic powder for temporarily fixing the tip of the flexible wiring board .

According to the connector locking mechanism of the present invention, the signal transmission flexible wiring board is fixed to the connection portion by the lid closing action of the lid member, and is accommodated in the connection portion in the connector lock mechanism for transmitting an optical signal or an electric signal. A reinforcing plate having a desired plate thickness is fixed to one side surface of the flexible printed circuit board, and is fixed to the connection portion of the connector, so that it is securely fixed by the lid member. In addition, since the removal preventing member that is locked to the side end surface on the removal side of the reinforcing plate is provided on the lid member that closes the connection portion, it does not easily come out even if the flexible wiring board is pulled. Therefore, a reliable connection state is maintained, the connection stability of the optical signal or the electric signal is high, and the reliability is maintained high.

The flexible wiring board is one of a flexible wiring board for optical signals, a flexible wiring board for electrical signals, or a flexible wiring board for optical / electrical signals, and has a lock structure applicable to various flexible wiring boards. .
The lid member has a biasing means for biasing the flexible wiring board in the insertion direction when the flexible wiring board is locked by being closed by the connecting portion, so that the connection is reliably performed and stabilized. . Further, since the urging means urges the state where the front end surface of the flexible wiring board is always in contact with the wall surface on the insertion direction side of the connection portion, a stable connection state is maintained and reliability is improved. To do.

When the flexible wiring board is a flexible wiring board for optical signals or a flexible wiring board for optical / electrical signals, a parallel lens is provided between the front end surface of the flexible wiring board and the light emitting / receiving element. Without reducing efficiency, the mounting position dimensions can be designed relatively rough, making assembly easier, reducing the number of assembly steps, and reducing costs.

Furthermore, since the reinforcing plate is formed with magnetic powder contained therein, the tip of the flexible wiring board can be placed on the connecting portion of the connector and temporarily fixed as it is. Becomes easier and the work efficiency is improved.

As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, the lock mechanism A of the connector 1 according to the present invention fixes the signal transmitting flexible wiring board 2 to the connection portion 4 by the lid closing action of the lid member 3. In the connector locking mechanism for transmitting a signal or an electric signal, a reinforcing plate 5 having a desired plate thickness is fixed to one side surface of the distal end portion 2a of the flexible wiring board 2 housed in the connection portion 4. A removal preventing member 6 that locks on the side end surface 5a on the removal side of the reinforcing plate 5 attached to the connection portion 4 and prevents the flexible wiring board 4 from being removed is a lid member that closes the connection portion 4. 3 is provided.

The connector 1 is a connector for a flexible wiring board shown in FIG. 2, and a metal shell 1b is entirely covered on a synthetic resin main body 1a, and a surface mounting leg 1c is provided on the shell 1b. A metal lid member 3 is rotatably supported on a rotating shaft 1d protruding from the main body 1a.

The boss 1e protruding from the lower surface of the main body 1a is used for positioning when mounted on a printed circuit board. In the main body 1, an electrical signal contact 7 is fixed to the connection portion 4 by means such as press fitting. The overall size of the connector 1 is as small as about 12 mm in length, about 5 mm in width, and about 2 mm in height.

The flexible wiring board 2 is one of a flexible wiring board for optical signals, a flexible wiring board for electrical signals, or a flexible wiring board for optical / electrical signals. In this embodiment, an example of a photoelectric composite flexible wiring board for optical / electrical signals is shown.

When the lid 3 is closed by the connecting portion 4 to lock the flexible wiring board 2, the tip surface 2 b of the flexible wiring board 2 is always in contact with the wall surface 8 a on the insertion direction side of the connecting portion 4. As shown in FIG. 3, a biasing means 10 that biases the flexible wiring board 2 toward the insertion direction is provided.

In this embodiment, for example, slits 3c are provided in the shaft portions of the left and right side walls 3a and 3b of the lid member 3 so that the distance from the rotation center 1g is shortened from the middle. And the protrusion 1f engaged with the said slit 3c is formed in the rotating shaft 1d side.

The slit 3c has a radius r between the fully open state in which the lid member 3 is erected at a substantially right angle and the front position where the lid member 3 is horizontally closed, and until the lid is closed. It is not a circular arc of radius r, but is formed as a linear portion 3d that is linear from a point at a distance shorter than radius r in a direction orthogonal to the radius.

As a result, when the protrusion 1f is applied to the linear portion 3d of the slit 3c that has rotated, the distance from the rotation center 1g of the rotation shaft 1d is shorter than the radius r as shown in FIG. The lid member 3 is biased in the insertion direction.

The above embodiment is merely an example. In addition, as shown in FIGS. 5A to 5C, the arc-shaped protrusion 11 urges the windows 3e provided on the side walls 3a and 3b to be engaged. Or a part of the lid member 3 (which is an example in which the lid member 3 is attached in the opposite direction) is engaged with the oblique slide portion 12 so as to be brought toward the biasing direction. In addition, the entire lid member 3 is made of synthetic resin and can be deformed so that an urging force is applied, or various known urging means can be employed.

When the flexible wiring board 2 is an optical signal flexible wiring board or a photoelectric composite flexible wiring board, as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, the end face 2b of the flexible wiring board 2 and the light receiving and emitting elements 9 A parallel lens 8 is provided between them. Reference numeral 9 denotes an optical signal receiving and emitting element. Therefore, the ideal distance between the end face 2b of the photoelectric composite flexible wiring board 2 and the light emitting / receiving element 9 does not need to be set strictly, and can be set roughly, thereby reducing the number of assembling steps.

As shown in FIG. 2, the reinforcing plate 5 is a flat plate member, and is made of, for example, a synthetic resin. In addition, since it presses with the cover member 3, in order to avoid an impact, not a hard material but a member with a buffer property like a cushion is preferable. Further, when temporarily placed on the joint 4, it is preferable that the joint 4 is weakly attached so that it does not fall easily. Therefore, the reinforcing plate 5 is formed so as to contain magnetic powder. Thereby, when the front-end | tip part 2a of the flexible wiring board 2 is mounted in the junction part 4 of the connector 1, it will magnetically adhere to the metal contacts 7, and a temporary placement state is maintained, The said flexible wiring The tip 2a of the substrate 2 is not easily dropped. In this way, the operation is stabilized until the tip 2a is closed with the lid member 3.

The removal preventing member 6 of the lid member 3 is provided with a blocking plate 6a that holds the reinforcing plate 5 in a closed state and is bent orthogonally at the end thereof, and prevents the removal in the removal direction.

With the locking mechanism A of the connector 1 formed as described above, as shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, the lid member 3 of the connector 1 is fully opened, The tip portion 2 a of the photoelectric composite flexible wiring board 2 is placed on the connection portion 4 of the connector 1.

The distal end portion 2a connects an electrical wiring to the contact 7 and abuts the end surface 2b against the wall surface in the insertion direction. If the reinforcing plate 5 contains magnetic powder in an appropriate amount, the reinforcing plate 5 is placed so as to be attracted to the contact 7 and the photoelectric composite flexible wiring board 2 does not fall off.

Then, the lid member 3 is tilted horizontally to close the lid. Then, the blocking plate 6a of the removal preventing member 6 prevents the reinforcing plate 5 from moving in the removal direction as shown in FIG. Further, as shown in FIG. 3B, the end face 2a of the flexible wiring board 2 is maintained in contact with the wall surface 8a by the biasing means 10, and the decrease in optical coupling efficiency of the optical signal is suppressed.

Further, the presence of the urging means 10 for urging makes it possible to use the parallel lens 8 and facilitate the positioning of the light emitting / receiving element 9, thereby reducing the number of assembly steps of the connector 1.
